    Additional Location Information

Just one house back from and steps to the beach, what more could you ask for? A Loafer's Paradise is located in, what we like to call, "the quieter side of Seaside". Situated just slightly north of where the famous Seaside Promenade ("Prom") ends, our home has the best of both worlds. The Promenade, is a wonderful, well lit, 1.5 mile major pedestrian walkway running alongside the beach. It is great for strollers, joggers and bike riders desiring to take in the views of the beach, sea air or just people watch without getting their feet sandy.

However, being a guest in an oceanfront home on the Prom may not be the type of relaxation and views one truly was desiring. Not only does the Promenade act somewhat like a beerier between these oceanfront homes and the beach, but all those 1000s of people that use the Prom each year are wondering directly in front of and peering into these homes and the guests residing there. That's what makes our location so special. For the Promenade ends a few blocks south of our home. There is no major pedestrian beerier between our home and the beach. You literally walk outside our front door, across a one lane quiet street, and you are standing on sand! If you desire to walk on the Prom and take in those views, it is only a short walk south from our home and downtown Seaside is less than a mile away.

      Our Family Vacation

Left on 09/04/2012 for a stay in August 2012

This was our first trip to the Oregon coast and what an enjoyable time for our family. My husband and I decided to rent a house so we could have our children and grandchildren with us. We found the Loafer's Paradise while searching online. This was the perfect place for all twelve of us to stay. We each had our own private room. The guys and teenagers loved the pool table. The little ones played cards and board games. The beach was steps away from the house. Needless to say that is where we spent a good deal of our time. There were lots of beach toys for the children. Each day the kids would grab the buckets and shovels and off we would go to the beach. The house was so close that we would go back for food or drinks. The walk along the beach or the boardwalk to the town of Seaside was about a mile. We also took our bikes and rode on the boardwalk which is only five blocks from the house. It is a very quiet area so safe for the little ones to ride too. We could not beleive how quiet the neighborhood and beach were. This was a vacation to remember for our family and we will do it again.

Another great time at the Loafer's Paradise

Left on 08/16/2012 for a stay in August 2012

This was our second stay at the Loafer's Paradise and it was better than the first! The owners are very responsive and made some improvements to make the place even more enjoyable. Some sleeping arrangements are more geared towards children (bunk beds), but we managed with 12 adults. Great kitchen and dining area for group gatherings.

      Another stay in paradise!

Left on 08/05/2012 for a stay in July 2012

A week long stay at a Loafer's Paradise was just that -- paradise! Clean, comfortable, large home with plenty to do inside and out. The beach weather was beautiful, and the ocean itself is just a short walk away. The neighborhood is filled with friendly, considerate people (mostly vacation stays), and the amenities (stores, shops, restaurants) are close enough to be convenient but far enough away that you don't get the "downtown" crowds unless you want to be there. The hosts provide plenty of clean towels, kitchen goodies and a good supply of disposables like bath tissue and paper towels. The washer and dryer were a huge bonus for a week-long stay that included a toddler.

      We'll be back, Jeff!

      We Came. We Loafed.

Left on 06/15/2012 for a stay in June 2012

Our weekend at a Loafer's Paradise was great experience. The house is beautiful, spacious, modern and warm. Lots of room and windows to hear the ocean. Clean and inviting. The pool table was a big hit, once night would fall. It's close to the beach! You walk maybe 50 feet and you are in the sand. A couple more bluffs, and you are at the water. Super nice! There's TVs in each room, and a nice collection of Dvds if you want to loaf on the couch. The sheets were clean and the beds comfy!

All in all, very pleased with the joint!

Thank you for a great weekend!

Our group very much enjoyed your beach house this past weekend. The large kitchen was wonderful and allowed us all to easily visit while preparing meals. Plus the living room, with the gas fireplace, was a great gathering place for watching movies and doing puzzles. We will definitely be returning!

      Great House/Perfect Location.

Left on 05/01/2012 for a stay in April 2012

House is in a perfect location! Sits just one house behind the beach! Takes a 30 second walk and you have your feet in the sand! Downtown Seaside where there are shops and dinning is only a couple blocks away. The house is huge with tons of room! Was very clean and provided every thing you would need to cook with or BBQ. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a place to stay in Seaside.

Loafer's Paradise is a place to relax and hang loose! Very Secu

Left on 02/23/2012 for a stay in February 2012

We stayed at Loafer's Paradise on Feb. 17 & 18, 2012 for President's Day weekend, and we were kind of last minute making our reservation as there were three families envolved. The house has lots of room and plenty to do. We played cards on one end of the big dining room table while others were working on the puzzle at the other end of the table. There is a cozy fireplace on the main floor and a nice recreation room with a Brunswick pool table in the basement. We played pool and foosball down stairs and had lots of fun. The kitchen is large and has lots of seating unless you want to take you coffee to the table in the dining room to work on the puzzle. We had a great time in Seaside and made our usual stop at Zinger's for ice cream. I would recommend this house for a nice beach get away. The owner Jeff is very friendly and easy to do business with. Thank you Jeff for the use of your home. Regards, Jim H. Vancouver, Wa

      Excellent Seaside Getaway for groups

Left on 01/24/2012 for a stay in December 2011

We stayed over Christmas to New Years week this year in Loafer's paradise with 3 couples, 4 children ages 4-10 and 2 toddler/babies and had the greatest time! There was plenty of room for the group either to watch tv and movies or play games and pool in the downstairs game room, either as a large or a small group. Having 3 full baths and a kids room with two bunk sets was perfect for us. Then add in 2 good sized queen rooms and very large and nice master suite, and we were set! There still was a fold down Ottoman bed in the downstairs we didn't use. We sat 10 for dinner + one baby in the highchair provided. There is also enough space to get away and read and a large, well equipped kitchen for holiday creations. There was enough to do that we barely noticed that it rained almost the entire time. Poured actually...When it briefly cleared, there were multiple views of the ocean, just steps away. When one of our youngsters broke a light hanging over the pool table, Jeff went out of his way to make the replacement process as reasonable as possible. He replaced the light himself, taking a full weekend to do it, and still only charged us the replacement parts. Even then the price remained at least a third of what he could have charge us for parts alone. These owners really take pride in their establishment and it's reputation and it shows. We certainly plan to come again and again. Thanks again for a great Holiday!

Great fun in a great house

Left on 11/13/2011 for a stay in November 2011

Our family just retuned from a weekend stay at a Loafer's Paradise and I couldn't wait to share how much we enjoyed ourselves!

The reservation process was smooth and easy, and Jeff was quick to respond to all of our questions and requests. Outstanding customer service!

First impression was being enveloped in warmth when we opened the front door, as the owners were thoughtful enough to make sure the heat had been turned up prior to our arrival.

All of the bathrooms and the kitchen were well stocked with toilet paper, paper towels and other disposables -- a pleasant surprise compared to other places we've rented. Plenty of soap for dish and clothes washing too. Something really great: lots and lots of clean towels!

The kitchen has plenty of cups, glasses, plates and cutlery and there are lots of small appliances you don't normally find (waffle maker, griddle, blender, mixer, etc.), lots of cooking utensils and serving dishes. The dining room table holds 8 comfortably -- and a high chair too.

Oh, another unexpected bonus -- lots and lots of hot water for showers, washing dishes and laundry!

The weather outside was perfect late fall beach weather: cold, rainy and windy. Sitting inside by the fireplace listening to the rain lash the windows while staying warm and cozy in front of the fireplace was awesome.

Now for the bad... . Hmmm. . The only things we could think of was the TV had no NFL network channel ( seriously -- it's football season, we need NFL network on Sunday morning), and we couldn't find any black pepper in the kitchen. Horrors, right?

Jeff and family, thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us. We are already planning our retun trip. Oh, and you have black pepper now :-)

Our family just retuned from a weekend stay at a Loafer's Paradise and I couldn't wait to share how much we enjoyed ourselves!

Some random comments I heard throughout the stay: "This place is awesome!" "Wow, a pool table! Look, there's a foosball table too!" "I get the top bunk!" (Resonse from his wife: "Uh, I don't think so...")

First impression was being enveloped in warmth when we opened the front door, as the owners were thoughtful enough to make sure the heat had been turned up prior to our arrival. After unloading our stuff and exploring (the house is wonderfully spacious), we all commented on how clean and neat everything was.

All of the bathrooms and the kitchen were well stocked with toilet paper, paper towels and other disposables -- a pleasant surprise compared to other places we've rented. Plenty of soap for dish and clothes washing too. Something really great: lots and lots of clean towels!

All the bedrooms are generously sized and the basement game room is outstanding! I forgot how much fun a foosball tournament can can be :-)

      Surpassed my wildest dreams

Left on 10/20/2011 for a stay in August 2011

My extended family of 11 people stayed at Loafer's Paradise the first week of august. We had incredibly beautiful weather with warm sunny days and cool nights. The temperatures were 30-40 degrees lower than the temps in our Oklahoma home. My four grandchildren, aged 6 to 10, romped on the beach everyday. They didn't mind that they couldn't swim in the water. I'm not even sure they noticed it was cold. They built sand castles, waded and splashed in the waves, flew kites, chased each other all over and still had time and energy for games in the evening and movies and popcorn at night. We rented all sorts of vehicles - bikes, dual trikes, pedal cars, etc. We barbecued hamburgers and ordered the best pizza. We built a fire on the beach and made s'mores. We enjoyed paradise and we'll be back. Thanks, Jeff and ana

      Outstanding!!!

Left on 10/04/2011 for a stay in September 2011

Loafer's Paradise was perfect for what we needed and expected! Three adult couples that have known each other since Jr. High School spent a long weekend relaxing, walking the beach and just visiting. The home has comfortable beds, three bathrooms and a wonderful living/dining room to laugh in. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes, towels, soap, pans, wine keys, utensils, coffee maker...you name it! To get to the beach all you had to do was cross the road and you were there!!! Keys were easy to pick up and return. Gas fireplace kept us cozy and pool table kept us entertained. Neighborhood is quiet and easy to get to. Walk to town was just perfect. We all highly recommend it!!! Only complaint we could have is no pets, but we knew that going in!

Left on 07/28/2011 for a stay in July 2011

We spent my in-laws 50th anniversary at a Loafer's Paradise and it was a wonderful vacation. We had 12 family members and it felt spacious. The house was super clean and offered a lot for little kids (sand toys, beach) and teens (game room with pool and foosball). The kitchen is spacious and the dining room table could accommodate all 12 of us. Two of the bedrooms were large enough for little kiddos to sleep on the floor, which was nice for my 4 year old twins. Seaside is also great for varied ages. My kids loved the carousel, the bumper cars, the train and tilt awhirl. Great vacation and great place to stay!

We really enjoyed this house. It worked well for our family with the kids in bunks and their parents right next door with the bathroom between. It was also nice for us to be off in the master since we retired a bit earlier than the younger folks. I loved the colors! It really makes the house pleasant and cheery. It sets the perfect mood for a vacation at the beach. My cousin and her husband stopped by one afternoon (they have a place in Ocean Park, Wa) and they were very impressed with it also. The finish details in the house are really great (special crown molding and mosaic tile). The location is awesome too. Just a short walk over the dunes to the beach. Our grandchildren loved it!

We had a really wonderful time at this home! The owner was very helpful and always replied promptly. The home was clean, extremely well stocked, spacious yet comfortable and fun! We could walk to the beach in less than 3 minutes but we could feel the breeze, see & hear the waves from the deck. The home has three levels, two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, a kitchen, two more bedrooms, two bathrooms, dining table & living room on main floor with a rec room area downstairs! That's where the pool table and Fooseball table were. The 4 bedrooms plus bed in rec room easily accomodated everyone in our party and my six year old loved the bunk beds! I was a little nervous at first (being the Mom) but they were not too high and they were very, very sturdy!! The kitchen had everything we needed and plenty of room to cook. The bathrooms were very clean and lots of linens. All the other bedrooms were clean and very comfortable! It really was like "our home" away from home! We had plenty of parking for our large vehicles too. In town, the favorites were eating homemade ice cream and playing in the arcade! We are already planning another trip back to this home! Thank you very much for an excellent experience!

My family and two others just rented this home for Spring Break and absolutely loved it!! It's in a great location near the beach and just a short walk to downtown Seaside. With three families I anticipated feeling a bit crowded, but was pleasantly surprised to find the house much larger than expected. Plenty of room for everyone! It's beautifully decorated throughout, even better than the pictures show and full of games, movies, books, and beach toys in case you forget them. The kitchen is stocked with all the amenities you need for cooking meals. The bedrooms are spacious and the kids enjoyed having their own place in the bunk bed room, not to mention x-box game system! We all had fun playing pool and foosball in the game room and really felt at home during our stay. The owners are great to work with and do all they can to insure you enjoy your time. They were quick to answer questions and even kind enough to make sure we had a new working bbq for our stay. This was the perfect house for families with teenagers. The location is perfect for everything. The kids walked to the movies, to the beach which was right there, and to pull crab pots off the 12st bridge. It is larger than I suspected with a large table and fireplace. Very Comfortable with everything you need in the kitchen. Cracking crab on one of the outside decks watching the sun go down over the ocean was priceless. I would definately stay here again.

It's not very often that a place is more charming and more spacious than depicted especially when the pictures are already appealing... but that's exactly what we found when we checked into a Loafer's Paradise! It was beautiful and charming and very spacious. The proximity to the beach was perfect, just one house away. We enjoyed everything about our stay there. The decor is warm and inviting. The beds are comfortable. There are even nice flatscreen Tv's in all of the bedrooms (though my one and only minor suggestion is that it's time to up grade the TV in the living room.) Not that there is much time for TV watching because there is so much to do and see in and around Seaside and the large dining room table just begs to have people sit and play games around it which we did - a lot! They have games, cards and movies there in case you forget your own. This house has it all!

Loafer's Paradise was like home. Tastefully decorated it had a feeling of "come in and make yourself at home". Fully equipped kitchen ,BBQ off the kitchen deck, bedding, towels, games, even books to read! There is a game room downstairs, but we seemed to run out of time to make use of it.
The house is "one house " from the beach. Get up and walk with coffee to the beach. Our grandchildren loved it.
The teenagers loved being just a mile from the Seaside arcade. We rented three wheel bikes the last day and the kids wore themselves out. Each family unit had their own spot to lay their heads and relax, so there was definitely of feeling of having your own space. Our grandaughters enjoyed being in the room with two bunk beds. A sweet memory was made and that was our intent. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to rent this beach house.

      A true paradise vacation home!

Left on 12/12/2010 for a stay in August 2010

We have stayed at a Loafer's Paradise for 5 years in a row and we love it!!! This house has everything you could need and want. Room for everyone (lots of space!), a great kitchen, a BBQ, a fantastic game room, ocean views, a fireplace, and so much more. It is just steps from the beach and we love that it is at the nicest and quietest end of town where we feel like it's our own private ocean!! The house is stocked full with movies and games and great books, and there are even video games if you play. There is a TV in every room so everyone can watch what they want... if you even have time to squeeze that in when your not enjoying your own private ocean! :-) We also really appreciate that this house has 3 full bathrooms, this made life a lot easier with two teenage girls in tow, a preteen boy, and grandma. :-) No one got in anyone's way. The home is very clean and well kept. This Loafers Paradise feels like home when you are there. It has been such a wonderful tradition for our family. The owners provide exceptional customer service. We would highly recommend this house to our family and friends. We love Seaside so much (there is so much to do and yet you can also do nothing and be just as content!) and a Loafer's Paradise is the perfect place to stay while there!!

      A Relaxing Stay

Left on 11/04/2010 for a stay in October 2010

"A Loafer's Paradise was the perfect house for our family vacation this year. Our family consists of three kids (8, 7 and 5), parents, and two sets of grandparents. This house had the perfect layout for everyone to be comfortable and cozy.

One of the vacation house requirements for our family was to have enough bathrooms for everyone. The three bathrooms in this house are very clean and well laid out. In addition, the kitchen was stocked with the necessary items, the linens were nice, the beds were soft, and the table large! We had a fireplace for the one day of bad weather, plenty of games and movies to entertain the kids and we were able to teach them how to play foosball and pool in the basement. On the fair weather days we walked across the lane to the beach we had been eyeing through our dining room windows. It was the perfect distance and we had a lovely time. We even saw a sea lion on the beach (or was it a harbor seal?). Impressively, one night during low tide, we brought home 30 whole sandollars. And, when they say "beach toys are provided," they are not kidding! There was an amazing assortment of toys for the kids to take with them to play in the sand.

The itemized list for easy clean up made getting our deposit back a snap. All in all, we felt we were living in a home. The fresh colors, the bright decorations, and the attention to detail make staying in this house a top priority for vacation next year.

Thanks for a lovely stay and for being so gracious in answering questions and replying to emails. We look forward to next year."
