Emma and Van were a delight to deal with over the course of my stay. The apartments are best described as "staying at a best-friends" place - full of basic amenities and clean. With the abundance of accommodation in Seattle, the presentation and location of this apartment would influence a re-visit during the next stay.

PERTHWonderful apartment near great restaurants and bars
Left on 11/15/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We stayed three nights in Septmeber 2012 and found this apartment to have everything we required. Liked the washer and dryer, came in handy. Apartment is within walking distance of Pike market and most of Seattles main sites, even walked to the Space Needle. What we liked best was the close proximity to wonderful little restaurants and bars, we were in us for 7 weeks and found that Seattle had the best restaurant food. There is a free local bus to town outside the apartment block if you wish but we never used as only 10 min walk to the centre of town. Would recommened this apartment for a couple.

This condo is more comfortable than many luxury hotels. The hosts have carefully chosen the furnishings in their unit to reflect the eccletic nature of this Seattle neighborhood. Even the artwork depicts the city. There are diverse choices of great restaurants. Main attractions are an easy walk away. Being close to the waterfront and its ocean air was our favorite part of our stay there.

Christine,
"More comfortable than many luxury hotels"...we simply can't think of a better compliment, thank you! We have really enjoyed furnishing all 6 of our properties to reflect the uniqueness of their neighborhoods, from the artwork, to the furnishing, to the color, etc.
The waterfront is pretty magical, and is our favorite walking spot ever. We're glad you enjoyed it all!
Hope you can make it back to Seattle some time soon!
Regards,
- Emma & Van

Left on 09/09/2012 for a stay in July 2012
This condo delivered that was promised on the vacation rental website. It was fully furnished and the kitchen was well equipped. The arrangements for gaining first time access to the condo and final departure worked perfectly.
It is walking distance from downtown Seattle and there is fairly easy to area freeways.
We enjoyed our stay

Brooklyn, NYYou had me at hot tub!
Left on 12/31/2011 for a stay in November 2011
I selected a Belltown location because my husband was going to accompany me on a work trip, and I wanted for him to be able to walk around while I worked. The apartment was nice but I can see why many of the apartments are in use as vacation rentals. The building is wood frame so it creaks a lot and with people coming home from the bars and parties it can be noisy. I loved having the hot tub and sauna to take the chill off the damp Seattle winter. Having the washer/dryer and kitchen would be great if we had stayed longer. I attempted to make coffee but there were no coffee filters in the container labeled "coffee filters." Emma was responsive when we were booking the place, but once I booked I did not get a reply to my email asking if I could have a package sent to the unit. Having the parking included was a bonus considering how expensive it is to park at most hotels in the area. The internet did not really work, and the computer they provided was literally the slowest computer I have used in 10 years. Fortunately I brought my own laptop and wifi device. Also, be aware that the description says that the apartment accommodates 4 people, but there is no door on the bedroom so you better be awfully close with the people sleeping in the living room.
Definitely go around the corner to have breakfast at Macrina! The brunch at Cyclops in the ace Hotel was tasty too. -

Left on 11/05/2011 for a stay in November 2011
We truly enjoyed celebrating our 25th Wedding anniversary at Emma and Van's Condo! We met in Seattle and thought it would be wonderful to celebrate this special time back in Seattle. The Condo is quite nice with very lovely decor, and it is amazingly well supplied. We felt like we were home. Of course the pool and jazuzzi added to our experience, and the fabulous restaurants in the neighborhood. We walked to Pike Street market a couple of times to bring home fresh fish and vegetables to have for dinner. Thank you to Emma and Van for sharing their delightful Condo with us for our 25th anniversary.
Response from Emma Woods - 11/09/2011

Sherry, we are extremely fortunate to have been able to provide a home base for you to be able to celebrate your 25th anniversary...what an accomplishment! At the risk of sounding like a commercial, we're so glad we could be your "home away from home"! Hope to see you again soon...

Left on 11/02/2011 for a stay in September 2011
The apartment was very cozy. It was great to have indoor parking. The location was excellent...very convenient to our children, as well as restaurants, shopping and attractions. I frequently enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub. A few repairs to window blinds, a lamp shade and a lamp need to be made. While it was a little small, overall I think it was a very good value.
Response from Emma Woods - 11/09/2011

We're extremely glad you found our condo to be a good value because we strive to provide all of the comforts of home with much more room than a hotel for a much better price. Hope to see you back soon!

My family and I had the pleasure of heading to Seattle at the end of June for the Rock n' Roll Marathon series. We were very pleased to find this amazing apartment with all the amenities of home. The unit was just as advertised, great location, excellent view of the courtyard, and everything we needed to make this our home away from home. We even had the pleasure of meeting the Woods family! Such a great family! Thank you for our stay and your hospitality!

Left on 08/24/2011 for a stay in August 2011
Nothing was unthought-of, everything was provided, from laundry soap and "cling free" strips to fresh, rich coffee beans and a grinder. If ever you have an "opps I forgot to bring..." moment, Emma and Van are half-a-step ahead, and that whatever is there for you...
Best location too - easy walk to Sculpture garden, Pikes Market, Pioneer Square, ferry terminal, and close to bus routes that take you to the canal locks, Queen anne, or any place else you want to go...
Be sure to try Macrina Bakery and Spur Gastropub...
Kudos to this first class "inn"! -

Emma and Van's condo is fantastic. The booking is easy and everything that is promised is delivered. We got there, parked and never drove until we left Seattle days later. It is walking distance to everything- even the International District. The condo is equipped with all that a family will need and the pool is great. Very safe and secure street- lots of dining footsteps away, Subway restaurant, late night grilled sausages, mini-mart and a rite aid around the corner. We were out just after midnight on the Friday and was happy to see the cops on their patrol bicycles. For Seattle all you need is City Pass and Emma and van's condo.I will stay there again and recommend the condo to you.

Left on 05/03/2011 for a stay in April 2011
Our visit to Seattle was so great and this condo, located so central to all the things we wanted to do, made it fabulous! We drove from Southern California, so it was very restful to be able to walk to the Space Needle and Music Museum. We didn't get in the car once on our first day there because everything was so close by. The kitchen was great and the laundry, too! Thanks so much!

We love your Belltown location as it is close to downtown, Pike Street Market, the waterfront, the Pacific Science Centre and access to the highway. We can park our car and walk to all the things we love in Seattle. The condo was well equipped with kitchen amenities and I love the insuite washer and dryer. The unit was very comfortable for us and the kids. Being on the courtyard side was lovely as it was much quieter than a street view unit. The fitness centre and pool are a bonus, too. We would definitely come back and stay.

Oswego, ILBetter than a hotel experience could provide
Left on 04/01/2011 for a stay in March 2011
This was our first vacation condo rental experience, and if they're all like this, we may never stay in a hotel again. Van and Emma were very accommodating and provided so many amenities (all the toiletries you can think of, coffee beans, a computer and internet access, among many others) in a very comfortable unit. And, the location cannot be beat! Did I mention that the unit is a few short blocks major shopping, Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, Puget Sound and the best dining in all of Seattle?
If/when we come back to Seattle, we will be staying here. You should too!

Left on 03/28/2011 for a stay in May 2010
My wife and I had to come and stay in Seattle from alaska for 2 months because I was having a kidney transplant. Emma Woods was very understanding, and provided a nice comfortable place for us. The convenience of the condo was just great for us. The condo was only 10 minutes away, the pharmacy that we needed to get my meds was about 15 minutes away. One of the best italian restaurants was right down stairs. And parking in Seattle is a pain, so the fact that the condo provided secure parking at no extra charge in the garage located in the bottom of the condo was great.
We also loved all the amenities, the inside gym, pool, suna, and jet pool was great, and very convenient.
It was a good experience for us, it took some of the stress of of us. We would recommend this vacation condo to anyone.
Thanks a bunch.

Walla Walla, WAEasy and Well-furnished
Left on 03/23/2011 for a stay in March 2011
Though I'm not familiar with staying in an inner city apartment and was a bit concerned about navigating the complex, locating the building and entrances was easy. Upon arrival I entered a condo that was both clean (smelling great) and well-furnished, as I would furnish my own home. The space was both open and private, with a nice quiet courtyard-facing deck. It was great to have a washer and dryer, television, nearby hot tub, and good kitchen appliances. It would have been convenient to have more than one key to the building and condo so that more than one guest could carry a key, but I understand for security, that would not have been possible. I liked the location best and the comfortable furnishings. We also received special assistance when we needed to leave our car in the complementary parking garage later on the check-out day than scheduled as the next guests were arriving later. Van and Emma were both friendly. Good value for the price. Highly recommended.

Wetumpka, AlabamaDon't Rent a Car... It's all here!
Left on 10/03/2010 for a stay in September 2010
This place is great! Everything that you might want to do when you visit Seattle is right outside the door. You can walk to everything. The amenities are great. Workout room, pool, hot tub... Although, you won't have time to do that, because everything else is so close. We saved on renting a car for 3 days, and only did a 2 day rental when we drove out of town for a day.
The only drawback I saw was that we couldn't stay here longer, Van and Emma had this rented out for all the days around our stay. We did have a little trouble getting into the unit, because I didn't read the instructions carefully, duh... Emma was reachable and guided me through. The place had plenty of towels, bedding was great, and all of the little necessities like salt, pepper, and mustard... They even have a great little coffee grinder there, so you can save the $4 on a cup of coffee.
We were in town to looking for Real Estate, and we hardly needed the agent's car. We walked to everything. We even looked at 3 units in this building.
We only had the two of us, but it would have been comfortable with 2 more staying there. The balcony is great inside the courtyard to do some people watching... That is something you want to do in Seattle. I can't say enough good things about this little rental; try it out instead of the hotel.
Suggestion: When you arrive at the airport, take the light rail to Westlake and walk to this place if you get to Seattle early enough. You will see a lot of people wheeling luggage around, including locals going in and out. That is $2.50 instead of the million dollar cab ride... The light rail can take you up and down the corridor from the airport to the stadiums, pioneer square, the needle, etc... Stay off the monorail, it's a rip off...
Here 3 more rentals located nearby.
