Bainbridge Island, WA, United StatesClose to the Convention Center
Left on 04/05/2013 for a stay in April 2013
The good-
The apartment was very close to the convention center and the greeters that met us were delightful.
The bad- The DVD and a fan did not work. The windows had no screens with a 13 story drop do NOT bring children. Three bees flew in in 2 days. The highway noise was unbearable! The unit has a thermometer and on a 69 degree day it was 83 in the apartment I cannot imagine the oven it becomes in the summer. The window unit air conditioner is at least 50 pounds to move and only brought the temp down to 78 at 11pm. We left a day early because we needed to sleep. They gave us 5 towels for 5 people for 4 days. I had not planned on going to the laundry mat. It was no vacation being there. -

Left on 01/01/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We brought our extended family here for three nights in 2 apartments. Location is great and the apartments had everything we needed. Only problem is that they are very noisy being near the freeway and the windows are not well sealed.
This meant that we could not open windows to get any air so the apartment was stuffy. TV instructions vague and very confusing. it took even our younger people a long time to work out how to use it.Response from Sea to Sky Rentals - 01/03/2013

Hello Jean! Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review of your stay at Elektra 1307. What a nice convenience to have extended family so close! It can be a bit noisy if you aren't used to the sounds of a big city! We do provide earplugs in all of our locations for that very reason. I appreciate your feedback on the TV instructions. It's helpful to know where we need to make adjustments so that our guests have the best possible experience. Please let us know when you plan your next trip so we can make sure you receive the 5% return guest discount!

We were very pleased with our rental. It was very clean and perfectly efficient. Since we were there for son's wedding we didn't get to enjoy the city as much as we would have liked even though the location of rental was easy walking distance to many things. Would consider this option again.

Hello Laurie! Thank you so much for your review. I am so glad you were able to enjoy the property. It sounds like you need to visit Seattle again so you can take in more of the great sights! All return guests receive a 5% discount. We would love to have you stay with us again!

The apartment was much smaller than we had anticipated and with the recent heat, somewhat stifling. Hallway was especially stifling and smelled of mold. Would recommend better communication about size of apartment, washing comforters on beds after guests leave, and leaving more toilet paper and extra paper towels. THANKS for taking the time to solicit feedback; you're the first VRBO rental to do so in the many years we've rented from VRBO!!

We had a wonderful time during our stay. This rental was clean with plenty of room and the location is great for tourists. The rooftop was great!! There is no swimming pool though. This room is on the 13th floor with no screens to cover the windows so I would be cautious about staying here with children.

Hello Hope! Thank you so much for your review. We always appreciate guest feedback. I'm so glad you were able to take advantage of the rooftop. If you would like access to a pool on your visit, we have other properties in the downtown area with pools. Thank you also for mentioning the windows without screens for future guests. Please keep in mind that all return guests receive a 5% discount. We would love to have you stay with us again!

Overall we were very satisfied with this apartment: conveniently located, clean and professional management. If one has to find an inconvenient, one could say that the carpets in the sleeping rooms could be replaced by a wooden floor (like in the living room).

Hello Chin! Thank you so much for your feedback. At Sea to Sky we want all of our guests to experience the best the city and the property has to offer! I also want to thank you for your opinion on the flooring. We do try to find that perfect balance for those we prefer carpet and those who prefer hardwood! All return guests receive a 5% discount. We would love to have you stay with us again!

Sidney, BC, United States6 women celebrate in Seattle
Left on 06/28/2012 for a stay in June 2012
This condo worked well for a women's getaway. The location was ideal for walking to all the sights. The size of the condo, with 2 bathrooms worked for 6 gals. Minor things: tv controls hard to understand, only one pillow in living room, No tea pot, but the Bodum coffee pot substituted. Only 4 chairs so we could not all sit at the table for a meal, therefore we had ate and drank very relaxed from the coffee table. The place smelled stale when we arrived, but after we kept the windows open it improved. Traffic noise was the hazard of the location. Can you improve taxi service in Seattle? Thanks to SeatoSky for the excellent service overall.

We were in Seattle for the sacura-con convention and needed a place for 6 people. This suite was so perfect, plenty of room for 6+ people and right next to the convention center. We walked everywhere, including Pikes Market easily. The view from the room is the best we have ever had in Seattle.

Left on 01/12/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We were looking for a place to stay for the holidays and what a find this condo was. It has a beautiful view of downtown Seattle and is within walking distance of so many things. The place was very clean and accommodating for 6 people. It felt much more homey than a hotel would have.
The only negative of our stay (no fault of Sea to Sky) was the fire alarm. It is an old metal clangy type, so was hard to hear when it went off. We stayed for four nights and it went off two of those. If you have any medical conditions that would prevent you from walking up and down 13 flights of stairs it may not be safe for you to stay here, as the elevators shut down during the alarm.
But, overall we enjoyed our stay and were very pleased with the condo. We would definitely recommend staying here. -

Left on 12/16/2011 for a stay in December 2011
Great location next to the convention center makes it an easy walk to almost anywhere downtown. The unit is clean and having two bathrooms makes all the difference. We would however recommend making certain the window stops are installed correctly to prevent the windows (horizontal sliders) from opening to their full dimension and creating a signficant fall hazard, especially for children.

Left on 09/09/2011 for a stay in September 2011
The only saving grace for this visit was the absolutely outstanding effort by the SeaToSky Rental Company to make our stay better. They found a very suitable alternative and made sure that all was well for us. The place has a nice layout. The noise from
the freeway was like being in the Holland Tunnel. The cooling unit stopped working in early evening and then leaked water all over the floor (spent the next hour cleaning it up with a bath towel. The tolet paper holder in one bathroom fell off. The large TV
had problems and could only receive 3 channels. The beds were very uncomfortable (My back ached after trying to sleep in one of the twin beds). I really could not recommend this unit to anyone. I can, however, strongly recommend the SeaToSky agency to anyone
interested in Seattle rentals. -

Hey, there, I was somehow disappointed mainly because the phoneset did not work. After finding out the problem, I called the maintnance to fix it. Unfortunately, no one showed up on the following day. Meanwhile, I had to fly to another states. To make
the thing worse, my return was delayed and I could not stay connected with my folks. After numberous calls with your emergency person, he went to the apartment and I was finally able to calm down my very concerning parents. Your emergency person apologized
and promised to request a refund. Again, unfortunately, no one follow up on this. I appreciate your look into and let me know how you would like to settle. Wei -

The Condo was well appointed and very clean. Great views of the city. Check in was smooth. Air conditioning did not really work but luckily was not needed after the first day. Dedicated parking spot in garage extremely helpful. Overall we were quite pleased with our stay in Elektra 1307 and would love to stay there again.

Left on 07/20/2011 for a stay in July 2011
This is a great place to stay in Seattle. The location is a perfect for using public transportation (so leave a car behind, we didn't use ours and paid for parking we really didn't need). It's also great for walking. The walk to Pike's Place is super short! We thought the furnishings were comfortable. It would be nice is things like cooking staples were stocked in the kitchen like we've seen in other rentals. Also, the windows have a locking clip so you can't open the windows all the way (a good thing for the 13th floor) but in the master bedroom the locking clip was broken. Our air conditioner also stopped working because it seems to be full of water and we weren't about to empty it since you had to detach the thing. We wouldn't have used it anyway, we had beautiful weather, but it's something to maybe keep maintained before a guest arrives. Overall, our stay was really pleasant and comfortable and we were close to everything we wanted to see. Thank you!

East Meadow, NYPerfect "Cousins Reunion"
Left on 07/03/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Having never been to Seattle before, we had no idea what to expect. The Eleckra #1307 turned out to be the perfect location for our first "cousins reunion"--four "almost senior" ladies hitting the town!! We were only 10 minutes walking in one direction to Pike's Market and the monorail that took us to the Needle and just a bit further from the waterfront that had some wonderful seafood restaurants (don't miss Elliot's) and a 10 minute walk the other way to a fabulous supermarket. The condo was on the small side, but spacious enough to share meals together and the gather on the sectional sofa in the living room for some late night chats. The views of the city from the 13th floor windows was quite nice. Our only complaint was about the TV in the living room--very slow to change stations and no channel guide on the remote. All in all, Seattle is a wonderful city that we will return to--and the Electra will be our choice for our "home away from home."

Left on 06/27/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Check in & out was fine. Our problem with the property manager was when the elevator broke down with several of us inside on the ground floor. We rang the Alarm bell with no response. Eventually we forced open the door from the inside to find the receptionist sitting at the desk. He had heard the bell but had done nothing. I find it extraordinary that he did not get up from his desk and help us get out of the lift..!

I am so sorry to hear about your experience with the elevator at The Elektra. This is not something that happens often and I am surprised at the lack of attention paid by the desk personnel. The personnel at The Elektra front desk are not employees of Sea To Sky Rentals but we apologize that the situation was not handled properly. Thank you for choosing us to host your Seattle stay. - condo so overheated is was uncomfortable our entire stay - required windows to be open at all times. Our choice was to melt or become deaf from freeway noise
-horrible burnt mac and cheese/throw-up smell in the hallway
- tiles falling out of the bathroom shower disgusting
- entry system completely inefficient(2 keys for six people is not enough!)
- fire alarm going off at 3:00am and being evacuated from the 13th floor really added to the bad experience
- no return phone call from Brian about checking in early - despite emails and phone calls to him asking him to reply.
- very unsafe neighborhood - crackheads hanging out in front of building at all hours -
Tuscaloosa, ALGreat property! Twin bedroom could use new beds.
Left on 04/19/2011 for a stay in April 2011
We loved this property! The only comment I have to make is that the twin beds in the one bedroom were very used; one of them had a distinct dip in it. We only had three people stay in the condo, so this was not a problem (two slept in the king bedroom--very comfy!, and one in the non-lumpy twin bed). However, larger parties might want to be aware of this. Positives include the large, soft, comfortable couch, and the amenities in the kitchen. Having two bathrooms was a plus, and I can't say enough about the overall quality of the condo, the building, and the location. I would stay here again.

The rental agent was not able to send anyone to help with the luggage, and her response was "you have lots of time to make your flight,as the airport is only 20 minutes away."
