Everything You Could ask for in a Maine Lake House

Left on 07/18/2012 for a stay in June 2012

What a stunning lake view! We enjoyed our morning coffee by the water while listening for the greetings of passing loons and ducks. The occasional jog along the surrounding country roads was a nice way to appreciate the peace. Evenings were spent star-gazing from the hot tub. The children made memories swimming, fishing, and kayaking. We ate most of our meals outside on the deck or at the picnic table. This home is well-kept, inviting, comfortable, spacious, and clean. The large lawn is the perfect setting for summer festivities: wiffle ball games, cook-outs, bird-watching, and lounging in the hammock. The kitchen has everything you'll need, including a lobster pot and a family-size table for meals with a beautiful lake view. We rarely wanted to leave the house, although we did take short drives to the flagship L.L. Bean store in near-by Freeport, historic Portland to check out the unique shops and have a cold local beer & lobster roll, and to Old Orchard Beach to swim in some salt water (highly recommended!). This is the ideal Maine vacation rental. We were very pleased with the whole experience & will definitely be returning to this very home.

Perfect dock for swimming, fishing, sunning.
