Description

Island Vista Cottage is the perfect Coast cottage offering 800+ sq.ft. of open concept living with amazing ocean views. Located in the popular beach community of Davis Bay, the area offers a fishing wharf, walking path along the waterfront to a semi-sandy beach, restaurants, ice cream and locally roasted coffee! The location is perfect, and only 5 minutes into Sechelt.

Enjoy ocean views from the king bed that is adjacent to a full-sized kitchen/living/dining great room. Open concept living, vaulted ceilings and large windows create a bright, airy feeling. The cottage has a king bed.

Island Vista's private outdoor deck is a great place to take in the view with your morning coffee and in the evening you can cuddle up in front of the cozy fireplace* after a day on the beach.

The cottage contains everything you could expect to find in a vacation rental. Island Vista Cottage is at Beachside by the Bay Waterfront Suites. The property also hosts a waterfront home with an adult oriented suite, along with owner quarters.

You'll also have access to Beachside's covered barbecue area, shared ocean view hot tub and huge beach deck right at the water's edge where you can lounge, swim, watch the Alaska bound cruise ships pass or close your eyes and listen to the waves. Beachside has a walkable beach where you can swim, beach comb, lounge, and watch our famous ocean view sunsets over the Trail Island (just outside Sechelt).

Please note that Beachside is a sloped property that required average mobility. The lower beach deck and shoreline are accessed via a stair path. This property is not suitable for toddlers or young children. Pets are not permitted.

Beachside by the Bay is a good choice for weary city folk in need of a restful retreat. We are quick to get to from the Vancouver area, close to amenities, and our ocean views and beachfront are unbeatable!

Getting around

We are on the public transit route -- so car free travel is possible. You can bus from Vancouver via the West Vancouver 'blue bus' to Horseshoe Bay, walk on the ferry, and bus from Langdale to us. The stop is about 1/2 block away from the top of our property. You can walk to restaurants (Gourmet Girl and Wobbly Canoe) and coffee shops in Davis Bay, beach areas, a fishing wharf and amazing forested trails. Groceries are 5 mins either way by car -- so a simple bus journey or 1/2 hour walk for those inclined. A vehicle is recommended for more in depth exploring, but rentals are available on the Coast.

Interaction with guest

Face to face check in with a short orientation. Available any time a guest needs advice or assistance. During guest stays, there will be garbage collection or property minor maintenance (grass cutting, plant watering, hot tub checks, etc.)

Response from the owner REVENGE REVIEW from loosing her VRBO investigation and her damage deposit. Raylene Hooton was disrespectful, left a huge mess and broke the patio umbrella. Our VRBO and other listing are very clear about stairs, taxes that must be paid, and other details that Ms. Hooton turned into fake complaints. Our listing has clear pictures and written info, plus she received a face to face check in with policy review and was left a guest book with more of the same info. She is either extremely self entitled, or sadly, somewhat unbalanced. She has made it her mission to place negative reviews where ever she can. Watch out for this one!
