      Sweet Suite!

Left on 05/07/2013 for a stay in April 2013

We had a great experience at Sedona Suites. Our room, the Pyramid Suite, was lovely ... even prettier than the pictures. Very comfortable bed, nice bathroom with everything you need, same for kitchenette. We loved the location, as well. The suites are a few miles outside of town, but we loved being away from other tourists and so near to the red rocks and beautiful views. Ken and Heather are great hosts and spent 45 min. with us when we arrived going over recommendations for restaurants, hikes, activities, and showing us around the suite. They checked on us daily when they saw us coming and going to make sure we were having fun and didn't need anything. Really nice people! Another bonus, Sedona Suites is a short walk to a pretty little river with beautiful views of Cathedral Rock at sunset. Make sure to head that direction at least 1 evening of your stay for a lovely sight! If/when we return to Sedona we will definitely be giving Ken and Heather a call to book a suite again.

Left on 04/20/2013 for a stay in March 2013

Twenty-five years had passed since I last spent time in Sedona so I approached this trip with trepidation. But the private location in West Sedona, Ken & Heather's kind hospitality and fine workmanship on the house and gardens made Sedona Suites a wonderful choice. The Pyramid Room is fully equipped, comfortable and tastefully decorated. I especially enjoyed the terrace views and walking to the nearby park in the morning. I look forward to my next visit at Sedona Suites!

Wonderful view, great owner, lovely place!

Left on 04/20/2013 for a stay in April 2013

The owner met us as we parked our car and showed us around the grounds, his place and our room. His home is beautiful and for people who care about the environment, it is right up there. The location is quiet with a lovely view from the small deck area. Inside had about everything you could want for your stay- comfortable bed, working TV, nice bathroom, small kitchenette and some coffee, tea and snacks. The frig is very small, so don't plan on storing food that needs refrigeration. Best to eat out or bring prepared food back. Perhaps the only thing we missed was a comfortable chair in the room if you wanted to sit and read. Owners are delightful. Area is delightful unless you want to be in the middle of bustling Sedona. Ken is a good resource for hikes, eating establishments, etc. Would stay here again, but probably for no more than 3-4 days. We are retired teachers who enjoy privacy and quiet.

Hotel room downtown..over priced resort room in the middle of the traffic area?...forget about it. Peace, tranquility, seclusion, and yes perfection. That is what is waiting for you at the Suites @ Red Rock Crossing. From opening up the doors to your private suite to greet the morning and watch the sun rise while listening to the birds sing, to witnessing the beauty and splendor of the sunset over the canyon as well as hearing the coyotes at night. And all without the crowds associated with the area! Absolutely Wonderful Vacation!!! If you are reading this review, we researched the area in the same way that you are doing. Stop and look no more. You have found exactly what you are looking for. Ken and Heather have spared no expense and provide you with everything you need or could want while in Sedona. Ken and Heather...I want that king size bed in the Pyramid Suite!!! We will be back!!!

My stay at Sedona Suite was very relaxing. Lot of fresh air and hiking. I enjoyed the fact that the suite was just outside of Sedona. Ken and Heather are very relaxed. The suite was clean and quiet. The view was amazing! The grounds of the home are beautiful. When asked, Ken is quite talkative and knowledgeable about leaving a small carbon footprintI highly recommend this cozy get away for anyone.

We loved every minute we spent in Sedona. Ken was a gracious host. The unit was clean and well stocked. He offered any assistance that he could provide and had maps and information on area attractions in the room. The unit is about a 10 minute drive from the downtown area. We highly recommend grabbing a picnic dinner and walking down to Cathedral Rock from the unit for sunset. Thanks Ken!

The cathedral room was just what we were looking for. King size bed was very comfortable, WiFi worked well, and location was just a short drive into the heart of Sedona. Unit was clean, stocked with organic coffee, herbal teas, oatmeal, and granola bars. Kent's recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants were very helpful. Will definitely stay again if we are ever back in the area.

We stayed in the Cathedral Suite. Heather met us and explained about our accommodations. She was helpful with recommendations for hikes and places to eat. The location of the suites is perfect. It is just outside Sedona in a valley and just a short walk to Red Rock Crossing where you can hike along Oak Creek up to the base of Cathedral Rock. The drive in and out of the valley is spectacular. There is a pull out where you can get a stunning view of everything for as far as the eye can see. The suite is stocked with coffees/teas, snack bars and oatmeals. There are several grocers just up the road in Sedona for other supplies. I would highly recommend staying here.

We were so happy with this stay in Sedona! Clean, spacious, and well-stocked room, generous hosts...a few minutes from one of Sedona's must-see's (Cathedral Rock). If you want to be in the heart of town, this is not the place for you...but it is close enough that shopping and eating is 10 minutes drive away. We loved the peace and the starlit sky at night. Plenty of local guidebooks left in the room, and the park pass was a lovely touch! Great restaurant and hiking recommendations from Ken, and the loan of those two hiking sticks in the room made us look and feel like pros on the trail!! Thank you so much and we hope to return soon with our daughter.

Wow! After we spent hours looking for accommodations in Sedona, I came across Sedona Suites.I read tons of their reviews and chose Sedona Suites not because of the rave reviews that the accommodations got but for the reviews of Ken and Heather. And as soon as we met Ken, we realized that the reviews were spot on. Ken is an outstanding "tour director", his knowledge of the Sedona area is a great asset to visitors. We did a lot of the things on his "do list" and were very very happy his recommendations. Our suite was the Cathedral, and was very spacious for the two of us. The bed was great, the furnishings beautiful and the shower was over sized. We will be returning to Sedona, and we will plan our visit around the availability of the Sedona Suites.

Ken and Heather are excellent hosts - within minutes of meeting them it felt like we had known them for a long time. They were very welcoming, along with their pet, Buddy. They know the area well and gave excellent recommendations on things to see, hiking trails to go to, and the best restaurants in the area. The suite is a very short drive into town and would also be a great hub for taking day trips to other areas of arizona. We stayed in the Pyramid Suite - the place is awesome!! The bed was extremely comfortable and the views are incredible. There is a refrigerator, microwave, plates, etc., and oatmeal is provided, along with a supply of granola bars, a few soft drinks, and coffees/teas. This place has everything you need to enjoy your stay. There are 2 suites which can be rented and both are beautiful. We will definitely be returning to Sedona and, when we do, we will stay nowhere else but Sedona Suites. We have nothing negative that can be said and we can't possibly say enough positive things about this place.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay in Sedona Suite for this past week in May. Ken and Heather are marvelous hosts, and helpful advisors for just about anything a guest may need or want, including pertinent advice on restaurants, hiking trails, shopping - the list could go on. I especially liked the location - a quiet area about a 5-minute drive away from bustling highway 89-A. Just a couple of hundred yards down the road was Crescent Moon Park, a lovely area by the banks of Oak Creek, and perfect for a shady picnic, or, what we especially enjoyed, a walk about an hour before sunset, when we watched the gorgeously changing light on Cathedral Rock. This was our first trip to Sedona, and we feel quite lucky to have chosen Sedona Suite as our place to stay.

A Wonderful Place away from the road, yet not too far

Left on 05/08/2012 for a stay in April 2012

Everyone has questioned themselves as they turn the key to a room rental - will this be as nice as the photos? Is it comfortable, a welcome spot to hole up in or be a nice home base to return to??

The answer is an unqualified yes. We had a marvelous stay at Sedona Suites. We loved its location off the main road, but it is close enough to get to town easily. It is near Oak Creek and hiking. Our hosts Ken and Heather were warm and welcoming, and they gave us great meal and trip/hike suggestions.

Our room had a marvelously comfortable bed. We were so busy roaming around that we did not turn on the TV/use the DVD player once. The kitchen was stocked with coffee and oatmeal/granola bars, which was much appreciated. We ate our breakfast on the private porch each morning, looking at trees and a hillside and listening to the birds.

We used the a/C a couple times to cool the room down, as the weather was warming up. The a/C, along with the ceiling fan, works well. The studio kitchen is nicely stocked with clean utensils and plates, and there is a coffee maker, toaster and microwave.

The only downside I can think of is that the units are up a flight of stairs w/o an elevator, if there is a concern about access.

We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Ken and Heather's Sedona Suites is highly recommended!

My husband and I just got back from 6 nights at Sedona Suite, staying in the lovely Cathedral studio. The room is beautifully set up and the bed and bedding of the highest quality leading to superb nights' sleep! The earth colors work perfectly with the outdoor views of Sedona. We arrived in a surprising snow storm, the white snow adding to the beauty of the red rocks. We were warmly greeted by Ken, the owner, who after 5 minutes offered his winter parka to my husband for the duration of our stay. That gesture typifies the generosity of the owners. Ken gave us suggestions of where to go that first day for lunch (Wildflower Café, with great soups and salads/sandwiches). He gave us maps and invited us to join him on his walk with his wonderfully sweet dog, Buddy, to Red Rock Crossing, a walk we wound up taking a couple of times in the morning. The room is supplied with packages of organic oatmeal, snack bars, coffee and teas. When I asked about a particular flavor of the oatmeal, Ken went to find more packets for us. The room is very comfortable and the bathroom is tastefully done as well. There is only a microwave and small refrigerator, so don't plan on making elaborate meals. We picked up items at a natural foods supermarket and enjoyed salads a few nights we opted not to go out. Coming back at night, don't forget to look up into the night sky. You may see more stars than you've ever seen in your life, right on the property! For peace and tranquility and with easy access to lots of hiking, views, restaurants, please treat yourselves to a stay at Sedona Suite.

Right from the start, the owners were very warm and welcoming--eager to make sure we were happy and comfortable with our accommodations, and very helpful in providing guidance/advice/insights to local sighting treasures and places to eat we would have otherwise definitely missed. The home is in a wonderful location with scenic beauty all around, and just a short distance (really, just a 10-15 minute walk) to one of Sedona's most photographed sites--Cathedral Rock. The beautiful architecture of the home and surrounding landscaping, and the tasteful interior decor and thoughtful amenities, make this the perfect place to "come home to" after a long day of hiking and sightseeing activities. During the warm late afternoons, or sometimes first thing in the morning, we made sure to take advantage of the veranda off our room to enjoy a hot cup of tea/coffee, listen to the birds, and take in the spectacular view. Wow--it was great! Rain or shine, we loved every day we spent here. Only complaint, if you're a very light sleeper you might be disturbed by loud guests staying in the adjacent room--as the walls between rooms appear not to be that well insulated. We would definitely stay here again...clean, convenient, comfortable, friendly.

It was such a pleasure to have you as our guests. We are so pleased to hear how much you enjoyed your stay with us and we are very sorry that the guests in the adjoining room were so loud. We did our best when building the rooms to isolate them from each other with six-inch walls that are sound-boarded on both sides and insulated in between. Unfortunately, at times, we get guests who are not aware of the carrying power of their voices or who close drawers and doors very loudly and the sound reverberates through the walls. In an effort to help combat this even further, I have since installed felt bumpers on all cabinet drawers and doors to help reduce the noise even further. We look forward to having you come back to stay with us again in the future.

Our suite at Ken & Heather's home, combined with the beauty of Sedona, was the perfect place for us to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Ken was wonderful about supplying us with recommendations regarding restaurants, hiking trails, tours and even massages. He even loaned us a cooler to pack a picnic for our day trip to the Grand Canyon. When the temperature is right (a little cool in January) the deck of the Pyramid Suite provides an amazing view to enjoy a glass of wine. We would definitely stay here again and hope to be back.

We spent our honeymoon in beautiful Sedona. We were lucky to have reservations at Ken's because it was the perfect place for two to stay. Ken and Heather were very receptive and helpful to all our questions and needs. The room was comfortable and clean in every aspect and we were very satisfied. Not to mention the price is one of the best in Sedona! We recommend any one staying there, because we will for sure again.

Ken and Heather greeted us warmly and showed us to our suite, before giving us maps and insights to the area. The second floor suite was well furnished, with comfortable king sized bed, mini-kitchen stocked with coffee, tea, snacks and dishes. The bathroom was spotless and beautiful, with plenty of hot water in the shower. There was also TV etc but we never used it. At night, it was perfectly quiet and from the porch we had a stunning view, and a short walk to one of the area's popular sights. I will stay here when I return to Sedona.

Ken, Heather, & Buddy (super friendly family dog) were wonderful and gracious hosts!

Ken made sure they were around when we checked-in and then they graciously spent 30 minutes or more, making us feel at home by sharing all of their maps, travel brochures, advice on where to eat, and must see sights (e.g. Indian ruins). They even saved us time and $ by lending us their two Red Rock trailhead passes. We instantly felt like locals.

In addition, we also enjoyed reading their books (left for us to read by our bedside) and intriguing conversations with them afterwards.

If you like to get up early, love sunrises, and go for neighborhood walks, then I would recommend their cozy Cathedral Suite. We hope to return every year for a 3 day weekend; anything longer, I would recommend renting a condo.

It is always nice for us to have such wonderful people share our home with us. We look forward to having you stay with us again next year!

People always ask me which suite they should reserve. It is hard to say because about half our guests prefer the Cathedral suite and about half prefer the Pyramid suite. It seems that for those who plan to spend most of their time out and about experiencing Sedona, and not all that much time in the room, then our Cathedral suite, with its amazing view of Cathedral Rock, is a wonderful choice. For those who plan to spend more time in the room, or really enjoy lounging around in the mornings or evenings, then I recommend the larger Pyramid suite with two big recliners and a private balcony view of Pyramid Rock. Also, while both of our suites have kitchenettes, which include a mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, flatware, dishes, plus organic fair-trade coffee as well as tea and snacks included for free, if you want to do any real cooking on a stove or oven on your vacation, then a full-sized condo might be a better choice.

We stayed in the Pyramid Suite, and couldn't have been happier! Ken was always available for questions, directions, and recommendations. The details and touches they do for their guests such as snacks, passes for the parks, and special soaps, truly made us feel right at home!

A hotel just can't compare to the outstanding hospitality and comfort that we had at Sedona Suites!

We have stayed all over the USa and Ken and Heathers place in Sedona was definitely an experience we will remember for a long time. Ken was so helpful giving us ideas from where to eat to what to see from Red Rocks to the Grand Canyon. They provided wonderful coffee, granola bars, teas, cokes and even loaned us a cooler to take to Canyon with us and gave us great easy to follow directions. Their suite was so beautiful as was all of their property. Bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. God created a magnificent world but He really liked the colors of Sedona. Ken did an awesome job building his home. We will definitely stay again when we return. 5 stars from Jim and Mary from Florida.

We greatly appreciated the attention to detail of the structure and accomodations by Ken and Heather, as well as their time saving and wonderful recommendations on where to go and what to do. We cannot speak highly enough of our wonderful experience at Sedona Suite and with the Bellars and hope to return for a longer stay next time!

Ken and Heather were warm and hospitable and the studio was welcoming and comfortable. Upon arrival, Ken walked us through the various conveniences, provided us with a map of the area, and supplied us with recommendations for restaurants, hikes, and shopping. You could not ask for better hosts!

The apartment was very comfortable and attention was paid to even the smallest of details. The location was superb - it is away from the touristy sections of uptown but close enough to be convenient. It is literally a short walk to the trail to view Cathedral Rock (which you can see easily from the balcony). I have recommended this place to my in-laws for their next Sedona vacation.

I rarely say that I totally loved where I stayed, but this place I absolutely did. The accommodations were reasonably priced and at the same time appointed like a suite at the Four Seasons. Ken and Heather are not only 2 of the nicest people you would ever want to meet, they went out of their way to make sure our stay in Sedona was an unforgettable one. The room included passes to all of the local state parks saving us hundreds in fees. Our room had a lovely kitchenette allowing us to make our breakfasts and lunches right in our room. I just returned home from a week-long stay at Sedona Suite. I am hesitant to list all the wonderful things about this place for fear of not being able to get another reservation when I return. But I will say that I was most impressed with Ken and Heather's commitment to the natural environment in everything they do. They have successfully demonstrated that luxury and comfort can go hand-in-hand with environmentally-friendly practices. Ken and Heather's hospitality and attention to every detail made this such an enjoyable place to stay. And Buddy (the sweetest dog ever) almost made me forget how much I missed my own pets. I will definitely stay here on my next visit to Sedona.

March 12 - March 19 We could not have been happier! We loved the scenic drive in from town, the beautiful view from our balcony, the peace and quiet which would not have been possible in a hotel. Everything we needed was there, including park passes for the area. Ken and Heather were friendly, helpful, and always available if we had a question about directions or restaurants. They definitely give the personal touch. I am a clean "freak", and our suite was absolutely spotless. Even the grounds are neat! We enjoyed the beauty of Sedona, the weather, the hikes, and the friendly people. It was especially nice to be so close to Red Rock Crossing - just a short walk down the road. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who wants a quiet, clean, scenic place to stay for their Sedona vacation. Thank you so much, Ken and Heather! We were very pleased with our accomodations at Sedona Suites. Not only was it located in a quiet section of Sedona, it was beautiful as well. To wake up to the birds singing was a plus. Very close to all shops and restaurants as well as Red Rock Crossing State Park. Passes to other state parks were provided so we did not have additional ezpenses. With the fridge, microwave, toaster and use of a cooler, we were able to picnic a lot and enjoy all the scenic beauty. Breakfast and coffee were enjoyed on the outside deck as the the sun came up. We would certainly recommend the Sedona Suites to anyone visiting the Sedona area. Left on 08/03/2011 for a stay in June 2011

We have now had the very great pleasure of staying at Ken and Heather's place on a couple of occasions. Located a relatively short walking distance from the beautiful creekside trail that winds its way through Red Rock Crossing towards Cathedral Rock, the whole local area is a hiker's paradise...our favorite Sedona activity. The physical accommodations are most comfortable...just the right amount of rustic with a small and welcome nod to luxury (including really comfortable beds, satellite TV, and personally controlled heating/AC). Guests should probably know that there isn't a big kitchen set up here, but there are some nice amenities like a small refrigerator, a coffee maker, a microwave and lots of healthy snacks. (Compliment Ken on his awesome vegetable garden during growing season, and there could well be a really fresh salad in your future.) Like the property's gracious hosts themselves, a stay here yields just the right amount of comfort...cordially attentive without ever being overbearing. All in all, it's a perfectly sweet place for "being" in Sedona rather than just visiting there. We can't wait to go back.

We had the opportunity to stay at the Cathedral Suite after visiting the Grand Canyon. The suite was spotless, comfortable and homey. It is one of a kind especially it is built using "natural materials" promoting sustainability and the design shows environmentally friendly concepts. The decor was tasteful! We enjoyed hanging out at the porch overlooking the Cathedral Rock and observing a glimpse of sunrise. The place is a walking distance to the base of the Cathedral Rock and it is a short drive to the center of Sedona. Our host (Ken) provided us great tips about the city including restaurants and hiking trails. He is personable and made every detail of our stay enjoyable and memorable. We will surely refer this place to family and friends who will be visiting Sedona in the future.
