Beautiful Villa

From the minute my sister and I were met at the airport by our driver Rama, we felt so welcomed, we given the most beautiful frangipani lei that smelt amazing. On our arrival to villa martini, we were met by sindu and the beautiful house keeper ayu and were shown around the villa, we felt at home in an instant! It certainly had the wow factor. The dip pool was lovely and was welcomed after a Long day of sight seeing or shopping. The villa was in walking distance of some great shopping and seminyak square market (our favourite shopping destination). Ayu cooked us the most amazing breakfast on our first morning, she was just a beautiful soul and couldn't do enough for us, the villa was spotless. We also had a dinner cooked for us in our villa, all I can say is wow, you must experience it! Our driver Rama was just a gem, he knew the best restaurants, took us to some amazing places and became our best friend! Susan was fantastic to deal with when booking our holiday, I did a lot of research before I booked our trip and I'm so happy that I chose to stay here, we had never felt so special and so welcome. Thank you Susan for your beautiful villas and your amazing staff. We can't wait to come back and see our new Balinese families.

We stayed at Villa Martini in april 2013. We live in a remote aboriginal community in the Northern Territory, Australia and were in need of a well earned break. Our time at Villa Martini was just sensational. From the time we were picked up at the airport on Saturday night and had a dinner ready and waiting for us when we got home to being dropped back at the airport when our week long stay was over. We could not fault the accomodation or the staff. Our driver, Pardi was like our own personal tour guide and ayu was always polite and kept the house immaculate. I would recommend a holiday at Villa Martini to anyone who is looking for that perfect getaway.

We have stayed at Villa Martini for few days in March during the Easter period. The villa is very nice, very well equipped, truly has everything you can possibly need during your stay. We are quite regular in Bali as we live in Jakarta and I would definitely rate the villa high in terms of the service staff. Everybody was very helpful, the driver was excellent. The pool is very small but this is mentioned in the add but if you are looking for a morning dip the pool is not enough.
The only issues we had was power failures that occurred few times but the staff was reacting very quickly to that issue.
Overall I would definitely recommend the villa. -

We were warmly received by our driver, Putu, at the airport. We were driven in two cars for the group of six, it was comfortable and generous of Susan to arrange that for us.
The villa though doesnt feel expensive, it was good enough for friends and family for a comfortable stay. Everything was provided for, there is lack of nothing, except for a fan at the dining area. The air-con at the common area is not strong enough to cool the house. The pool is cozy but because of the plants at the side, it made the pool a little dubious to soak in. But Putu had it cleaned up expeditiously upon request.
Suggest to skip the breakfast service provided, I felt that with the money spent at groceries, it is a little steep. But well, nothing beats waking to breakfast freshly cooked as you ordered right? :)
Putu has plently of great ideas for spa, food and chillax places. Heed his recommendations, they usually wow'ed us.
The rooms are nice and air-con is good. Except that the door at the room upstairs needs a change for that it doesnt close very well, but a stronger nudge would do the issue.
To validate my review, I have been to Bali more than a couple times and have stayed at various hotels, villa, B&B.; So, ya.. for your considerations!
At the end of it, we thank Putu and team for our great time there. We will try out other villas when opportunities arise. -

We had a great stay at Villa Martini on 8-11 November 2012. We are travellers from Singapore and Malaysia. During our arrival, the driver welcome us with flowers! Its suitable for 6 paxs as there is 3 rooms whereby 2 rooms on the lower floor and master bedroom on the upper floor. The villa is located at Seminyak area and is nearby to a 24hrs provision supermarket whereby you can buy and cook in the villa. We had chef prepared dinner on our 1st day of arrival as we reached Denpasar, Bali at 10pm. They provided one complimentry "chef" for dinner and bfast and they will billed us the supermarket shopping list. The swimming is small and not suitable for a swim and is more for soaking and chilling in the pool. I would say the driver Ngruah is fantastic.
We had one nightmare whereby we saw a rat ran through the living room to the couch. It was scary. We got our rooms door closed to prevent the rat ran into the room. Did informed Sandhu (Manager) and ayu (Housekeeper) on the incident.
Overall our stay a great.!! Not forgetting, nearby the villa there is a Prata (Canai) shop where they served yummylicious roti canai with lotsa flavours. They open from 10am onwards.
Recommended places to visit:
Kudeta (chilling place)
Potato Head (sunset viewing)
Naughty Nuris (pork ribs)
Sardine (great padi viewing) advised to go during noon or evening.
Sukawati Market (cheapest compared to Kuta)
Havianias (super duper cheap!)
Billabong Outlet (shopping)
can't remember much as we visited quite a numbers of places.. :)
Will definately visit Bali again and stay in Villa Martini.

I like the place very much,feeling so nice and comfortable,nice decotation,and many Tv set provided(we can have watch own favorite Tv channel after the shopping and whole day travel outside city)..haha..this place private and safety.
the park of pool is my favorite in the villa,i will jam in the pool when the bali whether is getting hot^^
and here is a nice location,got many shop and warung(makanan) outside the villa in warking distance..and have many money changer and bank surrounding the villa...

Villa Martini is one of those values you rarely find without some luck. As usual, when you are searching for a places to stay, there is always a risk that you will be unpleasantly surprised. Villa Martini is one of those pleasant surprises. It is a real value for money. I enjoyed the central convenient location of the Villa. It is close to the best places to eat and shop. It is on a quiet street, so sleep is sound and it is clean, always a priority for me. Last, but not least, the staff at Villa Martini is splendid. Well trained, friendly (as Balinese are famous for), and never in the way. What I liked best about Villa Martini is that is home away from home. I would recommend Villa Martini to anyone considering a vacation in Bali.

we had a fabulous stay here and could rave on forever about the quality of the villa and the staff and their willingness to help. The only issue we had was we thought the "extras" cost a little bit too much (e.g. cots and pool fence).

had a wonderful time at Villa Martini, Gusti our driver was always accomodating willing to help and provide the best advice possible to make our stay very comfortable. the Villa is on the edge of Seminyak but it was peaceful, the villa itself was immaculate, Ayu our housekeeper was extremely pleasant and nothing ever bothered her especially when we had 5 teenagers staying there. we had security at night and they were very nice people as well, the wifi service was a little slow but very accomodating when we needed to use it. the Villa provided a phone for us to use with everyones number on it just incase we needed to call Gusti to pick us up from a location. i would love to come back as it was the best time we had in Bali

From the airport pick up through to the drop off the staff were very accomodating, they were friendly, helpful and always wanting to assist. We had some changes made to the villa to make it more child friendly and this made our holiday a lot more relaxing. The facilities were good and easily accomodated the two families, (four adults and 3 children.)
There were a number of nice restaurants that were only a short walking distance from the villa.
A big thank you to our driver Gusti and maid ayu, Gusti became our son's best friend, he was always available and very helpful. They both made the experience very enjoyable -

Spent 14 fab nights at Villa Martini July 2012.
Great villa, modern, clean, and staff were very helpfull. Sindu, Budi and ayu could not do enough for us. Big smiles every morning.
We all had a great time, a must do is have the chef cook for you one night, fantastic food.
I would reccommend this villa to any one. Also had a look at some of Susans other villa's and would recommend any of them.
Thanks Susan for all your prompt reply to emails prior to our stay. Will be in contact for my next trip to Bali.

We had a great stay at Villa Martini. In past visits to Bali we had stayed at large hotels and this was a different experience and a decision we would definitely make again. The two toddlers loved the little plunge pool and we loved lazing by it when they were asleep! The staff are a real credit to Villa Martini. Bori the driver was very helpful, punctual and friendly. No request was a problem for him. The same goes for ayu who cooked us lovely breakfasts each morning and kept the villa very clean and tidy. All requests were dealt with very quickly and effectively by Sindu with no issue at all. Lovely restaurants near by - we loved Mama Sans in particular. A great stay - we would recommend staying at Villa Martini to others.

We enjoyed Villa Martini and were impressed by the service and the professional conduct of the staff. All of our requests were attended to and issues dealt with promptly. The driver and cook/cleaner were outstanding.
We would def stay in a villa closer to Seminyak next time as we found Martini a little further away that we would have liked (this is purely because we had small children/babies with us and we wanted to use the beach more). The villa its self serviced our needs and certainly made our stay in Bali the most enjoyable we have had.
A couple of issues we did have were:
The Mosquitos were really bad and the two babies were badly bitten.
There was no television reception (although we didn't report this)
Bed sheets were rarely changed.
The inability to pay with Credit Card.
These certainly didn't severely impact on our holiday and are merely observations for improvement.
All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would def use your Villas again due to the excellent service we received and the ease of communication between Susan and ourselves prior to our arrival.

In every case we endeavor to fix all issues immediately. Unfortunately your issue with the TV remained unreported, so we were not given the opportunity to remedy the issue without delay. In fact, the TVs were all independently tested prior to your check-in and indeed at check-out, and no issue was discovered.
It is true that mosquitoes are out in Bali at this time of year. We are happy to provide mosquito nets for cots at any time if required. We also provide repellent free of charge at the villa. Villa Martini can be completely closed at night, and if care is taken, the mosquito issue can be significantly minimized.
According to your records the bed sheets were changed every four days, which is relatively frequent. We are certainly happy to change sheets everyday if a guest so requests.

This is a cosy 3bedroom villa . We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were great especially our driver Rama who went above and beyond the call of duty. The only things that were slight concerns were the toilets not able to be flushed properly and that the wi-fi wasn't that crash hot. This took little from our holiday though. Would definitely stay again.

The place was excellent, we were greeted by the driver Putu on our arrival and he brought us to the villa. Upon arriving we were greeted by the rest of the staffs and had our late dinner prepared by the cook/chef. I would really like to praise Putu our driver as he was very accommodating and brought us everywhere we wanted to go without any questions or complains. We had our barbeque theme night at the villa, and the spread prepared by the chefs was excellent, true indonesian style. The staffs join in our laughters as well. I would love to come back and meet the people there again. Overall it is really a recommended place to stay especially if you are travelling in a big group of 5 - 7.

We travelled as a group of 5 in march and stayed 2 nights at Villa Martini. Whilst the villa is reasonably priced, it is definitely in need of a bit of sprucing up. it is clean and comfortable and the staff are more than helpful. However We could not swim in the pool as it was in dire need of cleaning. The Wifi was a bit intermittent and a technician was required to come in and source the problem. The downstairs bathroom also could have done with a bit more of elbow grease where the cleaning was concerned. The toilets in both bathrooms did not flush properly and we needed to have buckets of water in both to make sure the toilets were emptied sufficiently. It is also a bit far off the main drag should you wish to be closer to the beach and restaurants. On the upside, we made use of the complimentary chef to cook us breakfast which was outstanding and an absolute treat with both western and indonesian cuisine. The staff were also exceptionally helpful and a lot of the issues that we faced were more than likely down to the fact that the villa just needs a wee bit of attention to bring it up to scratch.

Since your stay back in March we have renovated Villa Martini and it has been completely cleaned and detailed. We have new housekeeping staff who have undergone rigorous and ongoing training. The service we received at Villa Martini was 5 Star from the minute we arrived. Our driver Yasa was a kind and gentle man who was just amazing with our children, 2 and 5 months, and I felt very safe in his capable hands. The villa was kept immaculate by ayu the entire stay and she too was so caring towards us and our children. I had such a wonderful carefree experience and will definitely stay at one of Susan's villas again!

Me and 2 friends ventured to Bali this year and stayed in Villa Martini for the week.
Villa was lovely...3 bed...lots of room... gorgeous little dipping pool.
Location wise- not walking distance to a beach- but close enough not to worry.
The highlight of the trip (other than the absolutely stunning day trips and yummy food) was Yasa...our driver. He absolutely made our trip and became our right hand man for information... he is an absolute star and a credit to the owners. Without him our holiday wouldnt of been the same.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel relaxed and nothing was too much to ask for. The place was beautiful and was constantly kept this way by ayu who was an absolute delight. We stayed as part of a group of 6 including a couple of young ones and having a driver and vehicle was a godsend. Yasa (our driver) was polite, helpful and brilliant with our kids - he was a particularly safe driver which was nice given how crazy Bali traffic can get!!
The thing we loved was being so close to all the great restaurants in Seminyak and having Yasa meant everything was booked and organized without a hiccup. We genuinely had a great time and can't speak highly enough of the villa or the team. The best example of this was one night when it was particularly wet and a couple of the local frogs decided to croak away at an amazing level. We called Sinu (guest relations) and he had 2 guys over in about 10 minutes hunting the frogs down - after hunting in the bushes for a while they emerged with frogs in hand!!! All part of the service they replied on the way out - ahh, the peace returned!!! -

Just back in London following an 8 night stay at Villa Martini. The location is excellent, if you feel the need to be away from the bars, clubs, and restaurants but also have them just a short drive away. It's around the corner from several minimarts, and atm's, which was really convenient.
The villa itself is open, clean, and spacious, the beds very comfortable, the aircon reliable, and everything you could need is laid on for you as soon as you ask! The pool is a plunge pool, but with beaches within 10 minutes, you won't need bigger.
The 3 bedrooms are immaculate and spacious, and were perfect for our party; 3 girls. Two are on the ground floor, and the third upstairs. I think this villa would suit older travelers and families too.
Yasa, the driver, is incredibly hospitable, and nothing was ever too much trouble. He organised some great day trips for us, showing us parts of Bali we would probably otherwise have missed...most likely due to wanting to chill out on the beach all day...!
Hope to return, and highly recommend a stay here! -

We stayed at Villa Martini for 2 weeks and had a great time. The staff are very friendly and helpfull and the villa is clean and spacious.
My only 2 issues with our stay was that the location of the villia on the map is incorrect - the villa is off Jalan Raya Kerobokan and not Jalan Raya Seminyak, but having a driver made it easy to get around. The other would be the plumbing - the toilets don't flush that well. Apart from that we had a very relaxing holiday and would recomend this villa. -

We stayed at Villa Martini for two weeks over December and it was amazing. The staff are fantastic,very helpful and so friendly. We were very well looked after. Villa Martini is gorgeous and spacious with a lovely pool.The finer touches and special attention(fresh flowers,decorations etc) over Christmas and New Year was very much appreciated. The villa is very central and within walking distance from great shops and restaurants. We had a fabulous time so a big thank you to Susan and her staff. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!

We had a fabulous time staying at Villa Martini. We enjoyed the pool and the beautifully kept villa. Location was great and in walking distance (though wear your walking shoes to dodge the holes in the footpaths!) of banks, money changers, convenience stores, Seminyak shopping and many wonderful restaurants.
The best feature of Villa Martini is the Staff. All were kind and helpful and work to enhance your stay. All guest should make use of Sugi, the chef, for beautiful Balinese food. The housekeeper, the guard/gardener and the manager, as well as our fabulous driver were greatly appreciated.
We would not hesitate to recommend Villa Martini and Susan's staff and we hope to return again! -

I was the only person staying there without kids/grandkids, having a toddler walking around with the hot/cold water dispencer at his reach was very scary. Thank you so much for your hospitality and service while we stayed at the Villa. Your staff are so beautiful and helpful, Sarieta and ayu was great and would do anything for you with a smile. The house is beautiful and the pool was great. We would also like to dearly thank Oka (Nanny) as she was so kind and the kids loved her and again would do anything we requested with the kids. Also a special thanks to your chef, the most beautiful food in Bali. All in all we had the best stay, did not want to leave, and will be back again and would 100% advise travellers to visit your villa. We had 3 children under ( 1, 4 & 7) at the house with the family and all staff were fantastic with them and the house was kid friendly. Many thanks and take care Vicky and family -

Villa was great, clean and comfy beds. Driver, maid and villa manager were very helpful. Although the upstairs lounge area was unusable due to glare on television from the sun. Were some small red ants but not too annoying, only happened a few times possibly because of spilt coffee etc. Also would be beneficial to have some light blankets as the sheet was a bit chilly a few nights. Driver had good knowledge and was very helpful with any questions about bali. Security guy was also great helping us out when we lost a friend. All in all I would definately stay again.

Cette villa est bien entretenue, mais elle n'a aucun charme. La piscine est glacée, il n'y a pas de décoration, les meubles ne sont ni jolis ni moches, bref, très fonctionnelle sans plus. La cuisine est bien achalandée, la maison est propre. Grand historie avec les serviettes de bain, il n'y en avait jamais assez. La villa n'est pas bien placée, loin de tout, on ne peut accéder à pied nulle part.
Le chauffeur et le chef étaient exceptionnels, gentils, serviables, nous avons extremement bien mangé et nous avons bien profité de la voiture. -

The price is reasonable for a full day driver and maid cleaning your house everyday. Takes about 30 minutes to get to Kodeta beach. House is very clean and the plunge pool is suitable for an afternoon of relaxation.Putu (driver) and ayu (housekeeper) is
helpful in every way possible.
I didn't like the ants in the living room though, hope Susan and the team can get it sorted. The Wifi is a bit slow but still workable, hope they can work on that as well. All in all, a very enjoyable stay. Recommended for big family -

An absolute credit to Susan, Sarieta and all the staff at Villa Martini. From our initial contact with Susan, the total professionalism and friendliness ensured our stay was relaxing and worry-free. The villa is beautifully appointed, and maintained to the highest standard. Sarieta was a delight, and her local knowledge, and help was priceless. Although Martini is just off the busy Jalan Kerobokan, the villa is peaceful and ideally located to explore Seminyak and beyond. Retail therapy and classy eateries are nearby, but so are wonderful local warungs, and shops with local products and food. If you are looking for 5 star service that cares, in your own three bedroom home, at great value, seriously consider Villa Martini.

We (5 adults and 1 baby) enjoyed our stay in the villa Martini in Seminyak. The staff were excellent (Ayu the cleaner and Gusti the driver)! Gusti has an excellent knowledge of the local area, was always on time and welcomed us every morning with a smile. The layout and decor in the villa were stylish but the lighting - especially the bedside table lamps were too dark. The pool is really just a plunge pool but good for a quick cooling dip. There are some good restaurants in walking distance - especially the lovely Warisan where you can dine in a nicely laid out garden. Our only criticisms are that there are no mosquito nets in front of the windows in the upstairs bathroom and the cabinets in the kitchen are very smelly. Furthermore, it might be a good idea to have some curtains in front of the downstairs bedroom window so that the security guard won't have a view of the people in the bedroom in the evening. But overall, villa Martini is worth a stay!

This is one of our most enjoyed homes and it is unfortunate that these issues affected the opinion of Villa Martini. In fact, both downstairs bedrooms do indeed have curtains which, when closed, provide complete privacy and make it impossible to see in at any time of day.
We have immediately remedied the kitchen cabinet issue and for that we apologize. We have also added extra lighting to provide choices for guests who like it brighter and those who prefer softer lighting. The upstairs bathroom is indoor-outdoor style which many of our guests enjoy. We provide personal repellant and insect spray free of charge at the villa – many guests find that they do not need this, however. Our plunge pool is advertised as such and according to guest feedback, appropriate to the very good value we offer on this property which is overall larger than most others in this price range.

We found Villa Martini to be a super start to our great holiday in Bali. We stayed for three nights and in that time we covered lots of kilometres with Putu. He was always accommodating with every plan that we had. He showed us some great places to eat authentic indonesian food, he was delightful with our children and he was just generally a really nice person. We got exactly what we thought we were getting, no hidden costs, with some lovely touches along the way, my kids particularly loved the flower garlands when we arrived at the airport. It was a great place to stay.

The Whole team at Villa Martini were extremely friendly and willing to help in every way. Having the car and Driver is a must when staying at this location. Driver was very knowledgable on various locations and keeps you busy all day. As this was our 1st trip to bali we had limited knowledge of attractions, but during our 6 day stay we thought we were able to see most of the attractions that we would have been intrested in. The Villa was very modern and spacious with all required facilities. Plenty of room and easily accomodate up to 6 adults. Would highly recommend to eat in using the chef on at least one occassion food was fantastic and very affordable. Overall our stay was excellent and would highly recommend villa martini to families and small groups.

My husband and I travelled with another couple to Bali and chose Villa Martini for our week long stay. The villa was comfortable and was a great place to unwind at the end of a long day full of activities on the island. The best part of the villa is the staff that comes with it. They are simply the nicest people and will go out of their way to make your stay at the villa feel like home away from home.
We were definitely worried about sending payment and renting the villa as this villa is newer and there were only a few reviews but Susan was patient and answered all of our questions. Our fears quickly diminished when our driver picked us up at the airport with a welcome lei in hand.
It was 5 stars service all the way with a cost that is affordable for families or couples. Thank you Villa Martini! I hope to come back to Bali soon and stay here again.

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your wonderful Villa Martini. We had a blast in Bali and a big part was due to the staff. They were so fantastic in making sure we felt at home. Sarieta and Iluh went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves while we were there. Sarieta helped us make appointments and was always there to pick up our calls (and if she wasn't, she made sure to call us back within 5 minutes). Iluh cut us fruits every morning and made us a delicious breakfast one morning. She cleaned up after us and made sure we had fresh towels everyday. We had so much fun and can't wait to go back and bring more friends to share the experiences with them. We hope to stay at your other villas the next time around.Thanks again!

love the place, love the people, love the culture and of all, love the villa i stayed. feel totally relax with the convenient wi-fi service, the nice swimming pool, the comfortable bed and the satelite tv program to watch my beloved football channel! really enjoy my times in the villa with my bunch of buddies, spending times chills in the pool with the nice cold Bintang beer. like the service provided, the house keeping ( thanks ayu!) and the nice trusted houseguard ( thanks to Mr. I don't know your name) next time( there will be next time), I definitely will come stay in this villa if i come Bali again. Stayed at Villa Martini with a couple of friends, we were greeted at the airport by our driver and then at the house by the Villa Manager. Our driver was great and we had the option to book him for the day (we only ended up doing this once during the week). The Villa Manager was very friendly and gave us her contact details should we need her for anything, the info guide was also useful in recommending activities etc. The house was very modern and clean (plus it was cleaned daily); it was nice to be somewhere comfortable as we spent a couple of days just lounging by the pool. They even organised a security guard for us at no extra charge due to the fact it was 3 women staying in the villa. The location was very good and it was only a short cab ride to the various spas and bars in Seminyak. Overall a great stay and would definitely recommend it.

The team were excellent and the facilities great; our kids loved the private pool! I would highly recommend this as a great place to stay, unwind and soak up the beautiful surrounds.

Stayed at Villa Martini for 3 nights - not long enough.
Our room was superb very spacious and cleaned every day. The swimming pool was in the back of the villa and was only small but good enough for a dip. The staff were always cleaning and sweeping up leaves around the property and it really looked very nicely well maintained.
Full facilities, raging from coffee maker, microwave, TV cable, internet, free DVD rental, etc.
Well located just a short walk from the main street in Seminyak. Would recommend to others seeking a peaceful holiday with easy access to shopping and restaurants.
If you are thinking about staying here - do it, you won't regret it! -

My husband and I stayed at Villa Martini with our two little girls recently, and had a wonderful time. Its a perfect size for a family of 4, or 2-3 couples, with shared living space as well as separate rooms for everyone. Plus a cute outdoor garden - deck, pool, bar and gazebo - for lounging around on lazy days.
Location is great - its close to Seminyak main street, and walking distance to lots of restaurants, cafes and shops.
The staff were excellent, so helpful and friendly - it really added that little extra feel of luxury. When you have to spend sooo much time chasing after the little ones its great to know that other details are being taken care of ( like the dishes!! ).
A hearty cheer to the entire gang at Martini for making our holiday one to remember. We'll be back for sure!
