BerwickFantastic villa stay
Left on 03/27/2013 for a stay in March 2013
This was our first time staying at a villa and thoroughly enjoyed it. The villa is just off the main road so nice and peaceful and quiet. It had security at night so my family and I felt very safe. All bedrooms are large as well as huge comfortable beds. The villa was cleaned daily and agung the villa manager helped us with anything we needed including a trip to the local medical centre when my son cut is foot surfing.
Thank you to all staff at Villa Teman for a wonderful Bali holiday. It certainly added to an enjoyable holiday staying at a nice property such as this with friendly staff. -

298313A city in the village
Left on 04/05/2012 for a stay in March 2012
A very recommended villa for your comfy & relaxing after a hectic tour in Bali! The area is like a village but upon entering into the villa, its a modern and city feeling~
With a friendly manager, Agung who can extend his helping hands to you all the time, you need not to worry.
They have a security who will be guarding the villa at night, you can rest and sleep doubtlessly. He even walked out with us to the nearest mini mart. What else you can say no for?
We enjoyed the private pool so much eventhough the size is small (3-lapse if you know how to swim), but its enough for us to have fun with a bunch of youngsters! :)
However, there are many millipedes came out from the bathroom! That's why they prepared pesticide in the bathroom for you. But to me, it is dangerous and can be life-threatening!
The price is slightly high and they required for a minimum of 3-nights stay can be quite inconvenient for a short trip travellers. We went back almost 10pm every night except for the very last night as we have our tour in Kuta area which is quite near to the villa. Places like Ubud, Nusa Dua, Lovina are very far!
Overall, we will be back if given a chance!Response from MARITA LEANNE - 04/25/2012

Thank you for your review. I'm not sure about the "millipede" being life threatening, it is an insect, not harmful at all. One of God's tiny creatures that grace the island. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and will be back. We look forward to seeing our Singapore friends again.

SingaporeA Relaxing Stay!!!
Left on 02/20/2012 for a stay in February 2012
Enjoyable stay at villa 47C. The perfect villa for a relaxing holiday. The house was kept beautifully, is clean, modern and have a nice pool for the kids.
First the booking process with Marita was fast and
efficient. Upon arrival, Agung, the villa manager was very helpfull and paitience with us. And housemaid, Sri did a satisfactory job in the housekeeping , giving us the privacy and keeping the house tidy.
Location : The villa is little outside of central Seminyak but a short cab or a 10 - 15 minute walk can get you to the main street.
Thank you. -

DarwinMost Outstanding accomodation in Bali
Left on 01/16/2012 for a stay in December 2011
This property will not disappoint the most discerning of travellers. A short walk from the main street of Seminyak and the restaurant district, the accomodation is quiet, clean and luxurious. The service, from booking to check out was facilitated seamlessly and the the people were helpful beyond our expectation. Having been to Bali 4 times this year our expectations are very high and this surpassed our previous experiences.

Left on 01/10/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We arrived to check in at this villa earlier than we had advised we were arriving and thought we would be stuck in Seminyak with all our bags for a while, but were pleasantly surprised to be met at the villa by the manager, Agung. I can't rate his professionalism or politeness highly enough and it was a refreshing change from the staff we encountered at the previous two places we had stayed. He took the time to carefully explain the villa, surrounding area and provided us with a local mobile phone, with credit, so we were able to contact him should we need any assistance at any time during our stay. We did text him on one occasion and received a reply within 5 minutes. The villa itself was very clean and tidy with all the comforts of home, yet with that relaxing and tranquil Balinese touch! The villa has three very spacious double bedrooms, all with their own bathroom. The lounge area is comfortable and the kitchen sufficiently stocked with all you would need. The pool, although a little on the small side, is more than adequate for those wishing to sunbathe (I mean really, that's all you need isn't it - who goes on holiday to swim laps?). The villa is located only a short walk from the Seminyak restaurant strip too, which is great. I would have no hesitation returning here to stay, or recommending the place to family and friends.

Fantastic villa, a little out of seminyak but less than a dollar to the main street if you're smart about the taxi! Everyone was very helpful during our stay! Marite was easy to deal with, Agung was absolutely amazing and even helped me get my passport back when i left it in a car he organised and almost missed my flight! and the cleaner is an angel who cleaned up after us every day and made the villa look brand new! highly enjoyable stay!!

Villa very comfortable, I enjoyed the pool being able to open bedroon and dive at 6.00am very private Yes you can dive naked.
One thing about the position being closed to all good restaurant, shops and especially my favourite Red carpet champagne bar, all walking distance.
Next visit to Bali I will stay here -

We were picked up at the airport by a driver organised through the Villa. Was such a nice relief to have our driver standing there with our names in bold letters.
When we arrived at the Villa agung and his team were all ready and waiting.
As we walked into the Villas ('Teman') we were speechless... with the immaculate pool, living area and of course the rooms! They were devine!
The staff were amazing and looked after us so well. Every request was no trouble what so ever.
Agung had everything lined up on the table and after a briefing of the area and after he had given all the local tips for restaurants and bars we were free to enjoy our Villa in peace.
Sri, the lady who cleaned once per day was very discreet and a lovely girls who was happy to go about her business or have a chat if you felt like.
The booking process was simple and Marita was very effiecient and reassuring during the whole process.
Overall our experience was completely positive and we cannot wait to return again and again with friends and family.
Thank you all!Response from MARITA LEANNE - 12/07/2011

Gold Coast AustraliaOver priced Basic Villa
Left on 10/07/2011 for a stay in September 2011
The villa is OK.
I enjoyed the concept of villa accommodation, the villa is more Kerobokan, The area is quite industrial, furniture factory next door, huge concrete wall to look at from the villa, there was no noise from the factory, it was very quite and peaceful at night, however, let me just say there is definitely something to be said for wide angle lenses and lighting.
Its basically 4 rooms, pretty much all the same size, which makes large for bedrooms and bathrooms, if that’s what you’re looking for.
However, the lounge, kitchen and dining are in all in one room. It’s a small area. A bit uncomfortable, bearing in mind there were six of us, 2 couples & 2 teenagers, the lounge only seats 2 (maybe 3 if its not hot), so if we wanted sit together we needed to use the wooden dining chairs, "very hard on the backside" or sit on a pool lounge, on the second day we rearranged the furniture to give us a little more space to move around, and it was OK. The area is not air-conditioned and does get really hot. Only Fans.
The kitchen cupboards stink of rat poisoning. don’t close properly, the bottom shelf of the cupboard is the floor, the sink is badly stained, cooking utensils very basic, in fact one of the saucepans had something left in it (inside the cupboard), obviously been there for a long time as it had dried out, cracked,& peeling away from the pan. Bought some steel wool, gave everything a good clean, then felt better..
Bedrooms were really good size, bathrooms good, great showers, very clean, beds were comfy, linen OK, however, there was no bed linen change for the 7 nights we were there. Pool towells supplied, but asked for the to be changed. The housekeeper is very sweet.
Pool area is small 1 double lounge/ 1 single lounge, the pool itself was nice & clean. The power kept tripping out, fortunately our men found the meter box and were able to fix it each time.
Definitely not a good location, no where close by for breaky, a fair walk to the (restaurant area), although we didn’t mind the walk if we left before dark, the beach is a long way from the villa, and if you go the other way it takes you (JL Kerobokan, not much there) but a better option if you want need a taxi, definitely don't walk at night, it is very dark, mostly rice paddy's, a few old shacks. We found it inconvenient having to get taxis all the time, 2 at that for 6 of us, we always had to give the taxis directions to the villa,
.
For the price, there are nicer villas in more convenient locations. Paying upfront is always a concern, had we not paid upfront, not been with friends, we definitely would have moved on. We were glad to move on to our other accommodation. -

Sydney, AustraliaNice compact villa
Left on 07/21/2011 for a stay in July 2011
The villa itself was presented nicely, and the pictures are what is in the villa. The rooms are a good size and each could pass as a main room. All rooms have air con, tv, dvd, cable tv, king bed. The villa was cleaned every day to a good standard and the staff were great. We were picked up at the airport on time. We have teenage boys who liked the villa and its set up.
I think the idea of these reviews is to get a person's interpretation of things, to give a different angle of the description by the owner. So this is mine. The pool is not cleaned daily as described. As a pool owner you notice things a bit more. There were leaves and dirt (about a cup full on the stairs from people's feet) on the bottom of the pool that were there when we arrived and the same dirt was still there 6 days later when we left. It was that obvious that when you walked in the door of the villa it could be seen from the other end of the pool. Not a major concern I agree and it was more of a joke than any thing else. The pool water was clean, a bit of dirt should not spoil a holiday.
The area of the villa is more Kerobokan. The actual address supplied by the owner at arrival states this. Its a good 20 to 25 minute walk to the beach along back streets (we got lost first attempt) and it is too far for teenagers to walk with their boards. The area where the villa is, is more industrial than shopping/dining (the picture of the pool area shows lights high above a wall. This is a wood furniture factory). The villa is at least a 400 metre walk on back streets to the nearest dining area of Jalan Kayu aya. We found it easier to walk to Kerobokan Road ( 100 metre walk and pay a taxi(meter rate) $25000 rupiah to go to the more popular dining strips along the beach or Seminyak Road (getting a taxi is easy, every 5th car is one.) Although the area is more industrial, there is minimal noise and it is more quiet at night than the built up areas. Once you shut the bedroom doors it's very quiet and it's hard to hear anything.
Its a nice villa and there was no problems with any staff and communication with the Marita Leanne, the owner was great. We paid full amount prior to arrival which at the time caused me some concern but there wasn't a problem with this. If you are happy sitting around the villa pool and relaxing and don't mind getting a few taxis to places, the villa is fine. If your expecting to leave your villa and have a short stroll to the beach or the more up market restaurants of the area then maybe a villa closer to these areas might be your go. -

Victoria, AustraliaWe will never stay in hotels again !
Left on 07/09/2011 for a stay in June 2011
I am reluctant to write this review as I'm hoping that next time we come to Bali this magnificent villa will be available for us again.
This was our third trip to Bali and having always stayed in hotels before organised by travel agents, I was reluctant to organise accommodation on our own. But now with 4 children aged 13, 11, 8 & 5 a villa was by far more econonical.
Marita was great to deal with whilst booking, very helpful and efficient, and dealing in aU dollars, she also organised a driver for our pick up at the airport. We were then transported to the most beautiful villa in Seminyak, greeted by the manager agung who was extremely helpful in showing us around and providing local information on where to get groceries, safe money changers, how much to expect to pay for things and tour information etc.
The villa itself is like something out of a designer magazine, three king sized bedrooms all with Tv's and DVD players, four bathrooms, huge living and kitchen areas and stunning swimming pool, which we made good use of. The kitchen is full sized with water cooler, stove, microwave, sink etc. although we didn't cook there much choosing to spend our evenings out and about enjoying the world class Seminyak restaurants only minutes from the door.
Sri was the gorgeous housekeeper who appeared every morning cleaning, making beds and providing fresh pool towels etc, she also organised our laundry costing a total of approx. $2 per load! - unheard of of in a hotel.
All in all this was a fantastic place to stay in Bali in a great location, so good not having to "bag" a pool chair and being able to swim any time day or night - we won't ever stay in hotels again!
Thank you Marita and team for a fantastic trip - we hope to be back soon !Response from MARITA LEANNE - 07/09/2011

This villa is absolutely beautiful! I stayed for a week with my husband and two teenage boys, and we were all super impressed. The surroundings are so peaceful and tranquil, with a lovely pool area which the boys really enjoyed, and the service is first class. The villa was cleaned every morning and all we had to worry about was how to spend each day! The villa itself is very modern, tastefully decorated and well-equipped with every mod-con, the beds are really comfortable and the overall lay-out is really practical and appealing. Just a few minutes from all this serenity is the bustling nightlife of Seminyak - great restaurants, bars and clubs within walking distance - and shops to cater for all tastes and budgets. We'll be going back to Bali in the middle of next year, and even before we book our flights we'll make sure we book this villa again - wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!
