We had a fantastic time at akasa Villa! We had 8 ladies wanting to stay and they were able to accommodate us with 5 in their own room / ensuites and the other 3 were very happy to share the studio. The staff were fantastic and very, very accomodating. The rooms were lovey and the massages onsite at a time to suit you, were incredible!!! I would highly recommend staying here. Thanks again to all the staff for a wonderful stay!
This villa would also suit say 2 x families with children or even up to 6 couples. It's very easy to configure the rooms to your needs.
If I had any less positive feedback it would just be about the building that was commencing opposite. This could be noisy but it did not bother us. Also, the location seems out in the back blocks but really, it was less than a 2 minute taxi drive ($2) to the heart of Seminyak and taxis would arrive at the villa within 5 minutes of being called so it wasn't a problem. -

I really enjoyed my recent 5-day stay at akasa. The rooms are lovely and the in-house staff, management & contract beauticians are great. Lucy & Irma are master masseurs & all are very welcoming. I loved the garden's tropical gardens but was glad we were booked in during late March, before the nearby construction work really kicked off. I am already planning when I can try one of the other Tropical Infusions properties. Am now a convert to villa-holidays.

Thank you for such a lovely review. The in=house massages are turning out to be really popular, and I will pass on your kind words to our staff, We are going to build a permanent massage room and offering spa packages with bookings. Lucy and Irna are also available at our other properties so if you do stay with us again we can assure you of more wonderful pampering.

To the marvelleous owners, Graham and Lou, how nice it was to have that aussie connection for our first trip abroad. Your hospitality and welcome set up what was to become our very best family holiday. The Villa is absolutely stunning and roomy, the Baliense staff, who we felt became friends to us were faultless in their efforts to make our holiday the very best of experiences. Nothing was to much effort, and we hope that before we left we conveyed our gratitude to you all for all that you did for my family. Each of us left with more than one special memory, and when we return we would love to stay again. There were different experiences, including this beautiful Baliense meals, and drinking wine and Bintang around the glorious blue pool. For any family is looking for that special holiday, with the convenience of being close to the attractions of Bali, including what we discovered was the very best children's indoor/outdoor activity centre, then akasa Villas is the place to be. Thankyou again for giving us those special treasured holiday memories.

Wow that is such a fantastic review and it gives us such a huge sense of pride to have been able to contribute to your "best family holiday". Really, it is why we have set up the villa, and I know that it will mean a lot to our staff to get such wonderful feedback from you. We will certainly pass on your comments.
Thank you for taking the time to write the review, and we look forward to meeting you next time. Regards, Lou. -

We recently booked akasa Villas for a large family holiday (for our mothers 70th birthday) there were 9 adults and 5 children. On arrival a couple of our guests were concerned with remoteness but once we final got our bearings ( as for most of us this was not our first visit to Bali) realised that for a short and cheap taxi ride with tip we could be at Bali Deli for $2 aUD! The villa was amazing and to be honest the pictures don't do it justice, it was much better in person! Very clean and well kept, could not fault anything. The staff where sensational, every question (from before we arrived) to during our stay, was the Bali at it best and the reason we come back - the people. Very special mention to Lucy, Bagus who went out of their way every day to make our stay so wonderful. They were fantastic with all of the children (very patient and caring).
Thank you akasa Villa for making our holiday one to remember and making my mothers 70th birthday so special.Response from Tropical Infusions - 04/09/2013

Thankyou for your wonderful review. Our staff at Akasa really enjoy looking after the guests, and the Balinese are great with children.
When staying in Seminyak there seems to be 2 main options.
One is to stay right in close to the action. Easy walking distance to everything including nightclubs, restaurants and the beach. It is more noisy at night, but if you like to go out, then it is a perfect locationWe highly recommend our other properties Bali Ginger Suites or the Shikumen Villa if this is what you are looking for.
Akasa Villa is a great option for those who want a peaceful, quiet location, set in a large garden, with a huge living area and pool. Taxis are cheap and plentiful, and it is family/child friendly. When we stay there I really enjoy the walk to the beach, and then catch a taxi back when it is hotter. And at night, any of the great restaurants are only 5 minutes away by taxi.
I will pass on your comments regarding our staff, and look forward to meeting you next time you stay in Bali. Regards, Lou. -

My family and I (10 of us) spent 8 nights here in February and had to most fantastic holiday! Having small kids who are up early it was so lovely to have so much space for each couple and lot's of privacy! Each room was perfect for our family needs, and the rest of the villa was equally as perfect for spending time together. The staff made our trip, so very accommodating, friendly and helpful! Lucy the villa's masseuse is exceptional and it's lovely to be able to have massage without leaving the luxury of your villa! Chrisna the villa chef was outstanding and made the best food we had on our trip. We celebrated my dads birthday with one of his 3 course meals and he is still talking about it! The villa is so close to the main street in seminyak and was great to get local advice on places from the staff! This villa made our trip, we will definitely be back!

Hello, and thankyou for such a glowing review. We really appreciate the feedback and take pride in the way our staff are looking after the guests who stay at the villa.
It quite often happens at Akasa Villa that guests are celebrating a special occasion as you did with your Dad's birthday. The villa with its huge thatched-roofed dining area and lush green gardens provides a wonderful setting for such milestones, and we are so happy to have helped to make your stay memorable.
We look forward to looking after you next time, regards, Lou. -

Eight of us spent two fabulous weeks at this amazing villa. We spent lazy days by the pool, played games like big kids in the pool and enjoyed the yummy Balinese banquet that Krisna (hope I spelled his name properly) cooked for our birthday boys dinner. The rooms are beautiful, the staff are so lovely. They organised taxis, car hire, ordered take away food for us, nothing is a problem to them at all. Lucy does amazing massages and facials at the villa and they are sooo cheap. The villa is in a quiet area but only five minutes by taxi to shops, restaurants and the beach. I would recommend the villa for large groups and family get togethers. Thanks to all the staff for making our holiday great.

Dear Carol, what a pleasure it was to host your group at Akasa Villa. It is always wonderful for us when guests have a special event, and our staff do try and take care to make sure it is memorable.
You were our first guests to enjoy Lucy's massages, and we are appointing a second therapist. We have also discovered that she is an excellent cook (Indonesian food of course).
We look forward to meeting you again next time you stay in Bali. Regards, Lou. -

Recently spent 10 days at akasa Villas and was extremely happy. 14 of us arrived to stay and were greeted by the owner and friendly staff with iced tea and spring rolls. The villa was an oasis. Beautiful and comfortable air conditioned rooms to sleep at night, breakfast cooked for you at your leisure each morning, coffee, lunches and dinners made on request. A little removed from Seminyak beach and all the shops and resteraunts but only a couple of dollars and 5 minutes in a cab. The pool was fantastic with many hours enjoyed swimming and cooling off (other than a filter problem a few days before we left which was unfortunate). All in all it was a great place to stay and I highly recommend it, particularly if you have a large group.

Hi Craig and thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. It is much appreciated.
We have done some upgrading of our pool filter (and re-training of the pool staff) and hope the problems there have been resolved. As you say, guests are typically going to spend hours in the pool when in Bali, especially if their are children in the group.
Best wishes, Lou -

the villa is a lovely quiet place to say the staff were wonderfull nothing to much for them my family had agreat time and will be looking forward to returning in the future!we were a bit worried when we first arrived it seemed a bit out in the bush but once we got our bearings it was great we end up telling the taxi drivers where to go!!!the only down side was it got abit hot in the open living area and could do with some industrial fans but otherwise a great place to stay especially for a group or family love it!!!

Hi, and thanks for your review. We are so glad to have had you and your family stay and enjoy your holiday with us.
Regarding the fans, it is does get a bit steamy at this time of year in the build up to the Wet Season. The living area does have two ceiling fans, and of course all of the bedrooms are equipped with airconditioning, as is the tv room. -

Perth, AustraliaBrilliant for Bridal Party - Can't recommend highly enough!
Left on 10/16/2012 for a stay in September 2012
I recently got married in Bali and I organized this villa back in Jan-12 to accommodate the bridal party. Akasa was brilliant - it was so accommodating and let me add and change guests etc. Booking so far in advance and for something like a wedding there were so many changes and they always helped.
Now the villa - the photos do not do it justice! You will not get a terrible suprised or have a "oh no" moment. Everything is just as it shows - wonderful rooms with beautiful ensuites and such comfy beds. A massive kitchen/dining area that overlooks the pool where we spent the majority of our time. We had a very diverse group, couples, singles, bachelor boys (who we put up in the Studio!) and even a baby. Akasa accommodated us all seamlessly. We had a hens day there and the chef put on the Indonesion Banquet which was amazing. We stayed 9 nights and 10 nights and I seriously could not fault the staff, amenities or the rooms. It was perfect and the fridge was constantly stacked up for us!
There is only one issue with this villa and is nothing to do with the Villa itself - but, because it is not a main hotel etc it is virtually impossible to find a taxi driver who knows where they are going! And this happened when visiting all of our friends at their villas! Only the hotels were easy to get to! So in saying that - make sure you book the airport transfer so you initially get there hassle free and then take a note of the landmarks and take one of the helpful cards that are in the kitchen. It is the only issue we ever had and it was with the taxi drivers not the villa!
Again - the staff are brilliant. So helpful and so trustworthy! Our 13 guests had between them a number of expensive cameras, ipods, ipads, laptops, sunglasses etc and many days and nights we just left them scattered all over the villa and not once did anything get touched (unless it was to be tidied and put in a nice neat pile:) - it was the best place to spend the lead up to our wedding and I couldn;t recommend it any more! Altough dont go back in Sept next year as we want to make our trip an annual thing lol!Response from Tropical Infusions - 11/23/2012

We are so happy to hear that everything went so well for you at your stay at Akasa Villa. We know that you travel a bit, and that your review is an informed one. We often have guests here celebrating a special occasion or a re-union and it gives us great pleasure to contribute to the event being successful.
Great advice regarding the taxis too. Another solution other guests have used is to get the gps co-ordinates on their hand-phones; mind you, that is really what the taxi drivers should be doing here.
In our opinion the staff are huge part of what makes a stay in any villa a success or not, and it is great to receive your comments, and will pass them on to them. -

Booked for the family (8 of us) to stay for 4 nights at akasa. As husband and I were due to arrive a day earlier, I'd also booked the Studio. When we arrived at the Villa, Lou (the owner) welcomed us with an upgrade to the actual villa. What a way to start a holiday!
Akasa is a lovely villa, very well maintained and clean. The staff were ever so discreet ... going about their chores quietly and appearing when needed. Special thanks goes to Putu and Donnie for their constant smiles.
Do book the chef for at least one meal ... his "Indonesian Banquet" is really quite amazing!
I'm slowly "enticing" a group of friends to consider akasa for our next holiday.

Thankyou so much for your review, we are delighted that you enjoyed Ajasa Villa.
We are really glad that you recommend guests having "at least one" meal at the villa. It is so easy here to go out to dine, and lets face it there are now many fabulous places to eat in Seminyak. But there is something lovely about eating "in" as well. -

From the moment you walk through the gate you know you have found something special. This haven is a complete surprise and doesn't disappoint. The garden, the pool, the villa embodies everything you imagine a tropical paradise to be. The bedrooms are beautiful, the beds so comfortable and the layout is perfect. I went with 5 girlfriends and we had an absolute ball! The service was friendly, efficient and unobtrusive. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The pool is ionised and crystal clear and clean with no chlorine odour - so refreshing!. We had several massages and treatments at the villa, the staff happy to organise and were so relaxing. A couple of times we ordered takeaway from local restaurants and the staff collected for us - we loved the villa so much we didn't want to go out for dinner! They were also happy to cook for you given a bit of notice. We were fortunate to meet the owners - they are so committed to making your stay a totally enjoyable and relaxing experience and have gone to great lengths to think of everything. We are planning on making this trip an annual event and can't wait to return.

I saw this property on the net, for a group of 4 ladies perfect. We had a bedroom each that had comfortable king size beds and pillows and inroom safes. The property photos are actually the way it looks. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and were able to organise anything we wanted. The fridge was stocked with what ever you wanted from food to drinks lemonade, bintang, etc. You can have a chef come and cook a banquet for which we did, very good value. They have entertainment room as well as another TV and stero in the main living area. There are no TVs in the bedrooms not a bother to us.The breakfast was simple of fruit, eggs, pancakes, toast, tea and coffee. If you wanted sausages and bacon or whatever, you ask the night before and they will go to the market and cook it to your liking ,you pay market prices for everything. The bathrooms are spacious and well presented. The massage table is great the staff will call spa and ask them to come, all at local prices. Now about the location, it is very quiet and a good distance to the beach and shopping. We did not have a problem with this as the taxi ride to the beach or legian market was from aUD 2.50 to $4.00 for the 4 of us.If you are expecting to walk out of the villa and go around the corner to the restaurant or beach, this is not so. The area is in a part of seminyak that is being built up all around, in another few years you will probably be able to have more shopping around you but not yet. But if you want to go to the action and come back to a lovely quiet villa that feels like home, this is perfect. We all loved it partied when we wanted and relaxed when we wanted.I would reccommend this property. They helped us out with a late checkout which was perfect to have the villa all day as we had the midnight flight they also arranged all transport to and from for everyone. Loved thanks guys we will be back. xoxo

What a way to spend a first trip to Bali.
We were met at the airport by Made & Wayan, who then took us to a wonderful villa situated in the most peaceful location which is only a short journey to the shopping/beaches of Kuta & Seminyak.
The full time staff - Putu, Gede, Wayan, Kartini, Wayan, Doni, at the villa were absolutely amazing with nothing being too much trouble, from cooking breakfast, to arranging transport, massages, lunches, and even where to buy artifacts. Another plus with the staff was being able to have a laugh and joke with them.
All in all a most wonderful relaxing holiday with the beautiful people of Bali. We will be back.

We cannot fully describe how awesome our stay was at akasa Villa!! The staff were amazing and were always there to help, and the villa itself really is a hidden tropical paradise! Left on 01/02/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We are a family of 4 (Mum Dad and 2 teenage kids) as well as an elderly mother who joined us for our first week in Bali. The villa is better than it appeared on the web in real life. We were so grateful that we were met by the driver at Denpasar airport without hassle because we would have been lost without his help. The drive to the villa was 30 minutes through the most chaotic road system I have ever experienced so eyes closed most of the way but we made it safely. From the moment we arrived at the villa it was an oasis of calm with staff who could not do enough for you at anytime day or night. The breakfasts were great and the facilities were equal to the best hotels I have stayed in around the world-the beds were heavenly and the pool was incredible. Anytime we wanted to leave the villa the staff would call a taxi for us and it was there in minutes. Although it is a little of the beaten track we had cards with maps on it to show drivers how to get there if they got lost. The Manager was very helpful in helping us organise tours etc-havoing someone fluent in both english and indonesian was very helpful. We met the owners and without doubt their intention is to provide the level of service and comfort we experienced and they did. If we ever went to Bali again we would stay again.

What a find! Akasa Villa was a perfect venue for a group celebration with friends around an aqua pure pool. Our room, overlooking the fields was brand new with great design features from floor to ceiling. The hosts are lovely australians who seemed to guess exactly what we needed - that includes massage service) and the local staff were fantastic. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, but I might find it booked out if I am not quick enough :)

We stayed at akasa Villa for a 50th Birthday celebration and for a 1st time experience in Bali it far exceded our expectations. The flexible accomodation arrangements meant that we all had our own privacy and yet could enjoy each others company, so ideal for friends and families sharing time together. You could be busy exploring Bali or relax in the villa, it catered for all needs. The staff were superb, so friendly, honest and patient wanting to please all of us. Our experience was so wonderful we will plan to go again.Thankyou Lou, Graham and akasa Villa staff for a very memorable holiday.

It is always a special pleasure to have guests who are on their first trip to Bali. We know it can be difficult dealing with a new place, and to get a review like yours is wonderful.

The staff was fantastic, very polite, considerate, efficient, and always willing to help. They make us feel at home.
The location of the villa was a turn off, bad roads, and impossible to get around by foot.
The villa itself is a great home to entertain and to have a family gathering. The seating area and the close proximity of the kitchen and the pool made this are the focal point for our family social interaction. Great design and layout!
The bedrooms are of ample size to accomodate all the needs of my family and they are spread out throughout the house to give some privacy to everyone.
The only negative situation was the musquitoes...they were vicious and relentless. I would recommend every afternoon the staff would spray the garden and adjacent areas to kill the musquitos and to drive them away from the house.Response from Tropical Infusions - 01/11/2012

Thank you for your review and feedback. Our staff are fantastic and they will do everything they can to make sure our guests have a wonderful holiday at our villa. Unfortunately the mosquitoes and the roads are a Bali wide issue and out of our direct control.
The local Banjar has a program to improve the roads in the area, and all of the main roads accessing the villa have just been resurfaced, including footpaths on Sunset Road and this has been done with minimum disruption. There are plans to resurface the smaller roads to our villa in 2012.
Mosquitos are a Bali wide problem, not specific to this Villa. We have 2 other villas in very different locations, which all have similar mosquito problems. I understand that your particular problem was that you have allergies to personal mosquito repellant products, which is the best preventative for mosquitos. I have since found a low allergy mosquito repellent which we will make available to future guests. The beds as you know have mosquito nets not only to add a touch of romance but also for practical reasons. I have now asked the staff to always spray for mosquitos at dusk each evening and light mosquito coils in the living area at dusk. -

This was my first trip to Bali, though I have traveled extensivly throughout the world, I was a little apprehensive about going, but as it was my sister's 50th Birthday celebration, with family and friends, I made the decision to go. Well what a great decision it was!I had the most relaxing experience for many years! The accomadation was truly indulgent and the staff looked after us brilliantly. I could not recommend the villa highly enough to all my friends for future holidays. I certainly will return to your villa when I next go to Bali and for someone who never had Bali on their travel itinery, I'm a convert! So thankyou for a most wonderful experience, I shall return!

Beautiful enclosed space with swimming pool and lounge area to hang out and relax with friends. Our room was an apartment upstairs overlooking the nearby school. Very comfortable and great bathroom.
Fully recommend for private party or function as we all had our own rooms with a beautiful area to share and be social in. Staff were fabulous and massages brilliant!Response from Tropical Infusions - 10/19/2011

You were our first guests in Akasa Studio and we are delighted that you enjoyed it and found it comfortable. I am glad that we were able to extend our villa to give you the option to book a 6th bedroom, an option which seems popular with other groups who are booking the villa.

I recently spent 6 nights at the akasa villa with some friends and we had the most fantastic time. The villa was absolutely gorgeous, it had a luscious garden & pool, and beautiful bedrooms with the most comfortable beds & spacious ensuites in each room. The staff were so kind and helpful and made us feel so at home and welcome. The villa was honestly one of the best places we have ever stayed. It is so close to the hustle and bustle of busy Seminyak, yet far enough away that we were sounded by tranquillity as soon as we were back at the villa. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a truly amazing experience in Bali, we are planning to stay again soon and i have recommended to all my friends and family.

Left on 07/14/2011 for a stay in June 2010
Akasa villa is tucked down a typically small Balinese road away from the noise of cars and motorbike horns that permeates central Seminyak. Once you enter the villa you are surrounded by lush, established gardens and a huge pool, all immaculately tidy and clean. The villa is spacious enough to have accommodated our large family - adults, teenagers and a baby or two - without feeling we were living on top of each other. The staff are always there and willing to quietly help out in any way. A fantastic place to stay with a large group.

We had a wonderful 10 day visit to this beautiful oasis. A truely magnificent team greated us upon our arrival (midnight) and then looked after us for the remainder of our stay. They could not do enough for us but also gave us privacy to enjoy our time with our family. Breakfast was delicious and the dinners matched any top restaurant you would eat at. Definately value for money and I would recomend this accommodation to everyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at Garden Villa. From the moment we arrived until we left, the staff took care of our every need. They speak good English and nothing was too much trouble for them. The villa itself was beautifully furnished with ample seating and it was immaculately clean throughout. The staff helped us order dinner from a nearby restaurant and served us at the table. We enjoyed cocktails by the pool from sunset. My favourite part of my time there was getting into the pure white bed with bouncy pillows and a comfy duvet. In my room, I had a gorgeous bath and it was filled with water and flowers when I arrived. That was also a highlight! I would definitely stay there again and will be recommending it to my friends!

This villa has it all!
We felt miles away from anything because it's enclosed in a tranquil leafy garden. The kids had a fabulous time playing in the pool and using the facilities and I spent lots of time lounging on the poolside couch which was the perfect antidote to the shopping and traffic.
I loved the open kitchen and dining room, it was lovely to be living outside so much; a nice change from the cold winter back home. The whole villa is spacious and luxurious and I didn't have to share my bathroom with the kids.
It's not far from Eat Street and the shopping in Seminyak but you do have to get a taxi there...a few times we couldn't be bothered and ordered home delivery which was easy.
I don't think you'd get a villa this size any closer to the shopping though, they all seem a bit smaller and noisier.
The staff were also friendly and helpful and really sweet to the kids.

Thankyou for your lovely review.
You are quite correct, it is becoming more and more difficult to find an affordable and large villa in this location. But we feel like it provides such a great venue for family and friends to get together and enjoy a special time, so are resisting the temptation to turn it into a series of 1 and 2 bedroom villas, which is the trend.
We look forward to seeing you next time, Lou -

I had a wonderful time staying at this villa. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond my expectations. The garden area was beautifully kept and the pool was crystal clear at all times, which was quite impressive! The living area was nicely decorated and very clean and comfortable. There was a very peaceful and tranquil atmosphere here and it is an excellent place to relax. It was easy to make myself feel at home. The bedrooms were immaculate and the bed was very comfortable, I had a great night's sleep. The bathrooms were nicely designed, and again, very clean. The location is great as it is set back from the hussle and bussle of the nearest town, but near enough to be able to pop into town by car/bike easily. The whole stay was an absolute delight and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

A perfect place to stay. Starting with the welcome by the very efficient staff. There were air conditioned bedrooms with comfortable beds, a lovely lounge area beside the pool where we enjoyed a quite read and a delightful garden to enjoy. As soon as it got too hot into the pool we would go. Everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable was provided.
The villa is situated a short drive away from the centre of Semenyak so going out for meals and to wander around the market was no problem.
I hope that I can returen there for another holiday in the future. -

We are a senior couple from australia and this was our first trip to Bali. We had a wonderful stay, and enjoyed our time at the Garden Villa. It is comfortable, with wide, cool verandahs surrounding the house, which is where you live. The garden comes right up to you, and for us it was pleasure sitting in the comfortable chairs and chatting or reading a book while the family swam in the pool.

We stayed here for a week with my partner's elderly parents. The villa was welcoming and comfortable for travellers of all ages - it is really well set up for entertaining poolside, with a central eating and social area. The rooms are stylish and comfortable and the living is easy. Friendly service and lovely meals. Ready access to Seminyak shopping and beach, by walking riding or driving.
