    Additional Location Information

Welcome to our patch of Paradise. Batu Belig was a sleepy village - as with most of Bali, it has grown in recent years and now has great restaurants and shops - although it still retains its original village charm - it is our favourite village on Bali and really is a very small village, yet is close to the action. The beach is a 2 minute walk and the villa has its own parking. The magic of Bali is still there to find....
DUE TO RECENT INTERNET SCAMS WE WOULD LIKE TO TALK TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN STAYING SO THAT WE ALL KNOW WE ARE REAL PEOPLE. BOTH PARTIES NEED TO BE SURE THEY WILL BE HAPPY WITH ANY AGREEMENTS MADE.

      Close to Perfect

Left on 03/15/2013 for a stay in March 2013

Firstly, Philippa was very attentive and accommodating. She entertained my endless questions through email and whatsapp. I was a little apprehensive about what to expect since there were not that many reviews, the price of the villa was quite high and the pics looked too good to be true.

But when i arrived...it was just as it looked in the pics, if not better. It was so good that the 8 of us decided to scrap some of our plans and just chill in the pool. Our breakfast plans were also all scrapped for the convenience of the yummy b'fast prepared by Wayan (loved the banana pancakes and the mee goreng). The beds were huge and looked like they were made for giants ;p, there was a wide flat screen tv in every room, the bathrooms were luxurious with rain shower (nice!), we had the best time! Again, the pool was the bestest ever and we jumped in at every opportunity. Wish there was a big float with a cup holder but the noodle floats were sufficient.

The staff were very attentive as well. I feel bad for making them run my errands, eg exchange money, buy ice, buy limes, squeeze limes for cocktails, buy kecap manis, pick up ribs from naughty nuris..haha. They were the best! Wayan also prepared an impressive bbq dinner for us by the pool with full table setting/plating (she does this for every meal). They were also really honest, Nyoman exchanged my money USD for me with really good rates!

The issue with the noise did not bother us at all. Once in the room, close all doors to keep out the noise. I think the rooster can only be heard from the downstairs bathroom

If i could have 1 critique, it would be that the wifi signal was really poor. We need Wifi to keep in touch with family back home / work. Oh n stay away from the nearby beach, super dirty. Other than that, the villa was near perfect! We didn't want to leave :(

Thanks again Philippa, Wayan, Nyoman and the boy who cleans the villa (i'm sorry i can't pronounce your name) for making it an unforgettable holiday!

      Wow fantastic !

Left on 01/23/2013 for a stay in January 2013

My family and I stayed at villa Kula for 10 days in mid jan for a wedding. This villa is just fantastic, it was much better than staying at a hotel because it felt like a luxurious home. The staff were wonderful, particularly newman who took care of the maintenance and wyan the chef was just wonderful who cooked us some of the best Indonesian food we'd ever had, it was great to be able to cook ourselves a meal if we didn't want to go out. The villa is a 5 minute walk to the beach and a $3.00 taxi ride to seminyak rd shopping precinct. Its also a 5 minute walk from naughty nuris and 10 minute walk to a fantastic authentic Italian restaurant Rustica.
We are large family with 9 adults and 2 children, the staff kept the villa clean and tidy and were just great with the children. The rooms were spacious, well designed with massive california king beds and large contemporary Balinese styled bathrooms. The pool was great size, with a perfect shallow end for the kiddies.

When booking we were a little concerned about the reviews about the road noise. It didn't bother us at all, you couldn't hear while inside at all, and while outside it's the noise you would get from any suburban road. The only noise that bothered us was the rooster from the house behind us. My parents were staying on the bottom floor bedroom closest to the house and my mothers a very light sleeper so by the third night she wanted to choke the bird. The rest of us didn't even hear it while inside our rooms. Villa kula is the perfect villa for a family, it's rooms a very private and the spacious living areas allows lots of time to relax. There is really no faults to note, my only reccommendation would be to put more thicker comfortable mattress in the tv converted bedroom, apart from that villa kula is beyond fantastic, great value luxury villa and when we're in Bali again we won't bother staying anywhere else. Thank you for making our Bali stay so wonderful!

      Great stay!

Left on 01/10/2013 for a stay in December 2012

I got to tell you, could not have been happier! Location is great, just a short distance to all local amenities in Seminyak and if you prefer to not ride a bike or walk, they will arrange a driver for you. The beach is just down the road, maybe 100m.
This place is designed for relaxing. Personally I want a place to relax on my holidays and if I want some action, I prefer a short taxi ride, exactly what the location offers. If you want huge nightclubs and vibrant restaurants next door, this might not be for you.
Only bad part was that it is just by a road and you get some of the noise in. Personally I was not too bothered by it. In these countries you get the sounds from the motorcycles pretty much everywhere anyway.

The villa in itself was perfect! We were a group of 6 and there was more than enough space.. There was lots of room, nice swimming pool, contemporary furniture etc. The beds were huge and comfortable, air-conditioned bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, flat screens in all bedrooms and the living room... What else do you need? This place forces you to relax! Plus, you can get in-house massages if you don't want to go anywhere.

Staff is super nice and really helpful with anything you need. We also had an in-house chef that made amazing food. You just ask and it will be made. They were ready to help out with anything you could possibly need.

Next time I need a large villa in Bali, I know who to call.

As you say, a motorbike is never far away in SE Asia so generally you hear them - it's not exactly a European motorway though is it!
We hope to welcome you back to Villa Kula sometime soon.

Luxurious villa that you will never want to leave and most likel

Left on 10/01/2012 for a stay in August 2012

A truly exceptional new property that is luxurious in every way. The home is spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The separate guest rooms are large and each has a huge bathroom. The two guest rooms on the ground floor each have outdoor bathrooms with tub and showers that bring in the natural tropical surrounding while maintaining complete privacy. The oversize king beds were quite comfortable. The staff are wonderful people who made our stay better than we could have imagined. We never went out to dinner as our cook served delicious, fresh traditional Indonesian food. She was amazing along with the house staff that were always happy and helpful in every way. They worked quietly and efficiently every day to help make our stay memorable.

      Just perfect

Left on 05/21/2012 for a stay in April 2012

Villa Kula absolutely exceeded our expectations and was the perfect place for our family holiday. The staff were attentive and kept the villa meticulously clean. Our initial expectation was that we would eat out most nights but after tasting the food on offer we ate home-cooked Balinese food in the villa every night. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The location was fantastic, just 100m walk from the beach, and a very short cab ride to both Seminyak and Canggu. Thoroughly recommended.

      Pure Balinese Luxury!

Left on 04/01/2012 for a stay in March 2012

Villa Kula was by far the best place I have stayed in, in Indonesia. It is beautifully and tastefully furnished, spacious and extremely comfortable. It also offers a lovely private garden and pool. We love it so much, this is our second visit!

Located in a very central spot with wonderful restaurants and bars close by and literally one minute from the beach.

The Villa staff were very helpful, polite and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble.

Will definately be returning next year to treat ourselves to Villa Kula visit No. 3!

      "What an amazing place!"

Left on 02/18/2012 for a stay in January 2012

"Wow!" Was the word I said when I first set foot in this magnificent villa. The gorgeous swimming pool was a irresistable magnet for my three children. The outdoor garden space to entertain them was great, but also secure and combined with the friendly and helpful staff it was extremly relaxing.
There was also many local restraunts within walking distance and with the beach being only 2 minutes away it was very convenient. The villa itself was lovely and spacious and had large onsuite bathrooms and two with indoor and outdoor bathrooms, amazing. It has luxurious superking sized beds, two of which were fourposter beds. All furnishings top quality clean and fresh.

      relaxing by the pool
