We were a group of 4 mums celebrating a 40th for 4 days. We had the good fortune of having both villas so there was way more space than we needed. I had the luxury of one room for dressing , 1 for sleeping!
This was not your standard display-home style trendy villa. Every aspect was unique and customised to suit the organic style of the villa - the bath, the sink, even some of the kitchen utensils! Think "the hobbit" in a more relaxed climate with a very open plan feel. I straight away thought of the Bali day spa "Bodyworks" when we arrived and have since discovered it is the same designer that created Bulan. My 3 daughters (under 9) would have loved this magical, pretty place but alas, I have been too late in booking it for my next holiday.
We didn't take full advantage of our staff but couldn't fault the friendly service we received. We were particularly grateful to have the security after a run-in with a dishonest money changer at the end of the gang.
My only minor considerations when recommending are: It was extremely comfortable for us but there are steep stairs in the Full Moon villa that wouldn't be kid friendly. Also, it was a little tricky to find at first because there isn't anything particularly noticeable at the entrance to the gang or outside the property. -

This is my second trip to Bali.
This time I come here with 2 other girls at take a yoga class at Seminyak and Villa Bulan was very close from our Yoga Studio.
That is why we chose this villa.
Villa Bulan is about 20 min from the airport and they also provide pick up service.
We really liked atmosphere of Villa,Size of each bed room ( it was much bigger space than we expected ) and nice kitchen...we were very happy for our choice!
All the rooms was much better than Web Site photo!!
Each bed room has different character and there is a gardner taking care of garden also pool maintenance was perfect.
We felt very clean.
These was 5 maids from 7am until 10pm and they are all very sweet and kind to us all the time.
If we wanted to have a meal anytime of the day ,they go to shopping and make a very nice food!!
We enjoyed Villa Bualn staff cooking.
If we asked them not too much hot space they cooked how we wanted...we felt it was home cooking.
Our Yoga studio was only 10 min by walking from Villa Bulan.
Location was perfect for us...to main street we can walk in 2 min,Bali Deli,Cafe Moka,Bintan super market was just 5-10 min away and there are many nice restaurants and shops around.
There are many tree in a garden and we hear bird singing and feel wind come though...very quite and peaceful place.
I felt I was at home...
Not only Yoga made us relax and clean...staying here at Villa Bulan made us special holiday in Bali.
We all had a very nice time at Villa Bulan and we really want to come back again!!!

We stayed at Villa Bulan for six days and had a very pleasant time.
This was the second time to come to Bali and the first time stay at Seminyak and also the first time to stay at the villa.
As soon as we arrived at the villa, staff welcomed us with watermelon juice, which was really refreshing after long hour flight.
During our stay, we mostly asked the villa staff to cook for us. Nashi goring, Nashi Chample, etc... We wanted to eat Indonesian foods as much as possible.?Every time staff cooked for us was really delicious!! It was much better than restaurants.
Main purpose of the trip was to take yoga class. There is a very good yoga studio just five minutes away from the villa. The studio is open wall structure and surrounded by green. Cool wind breeze through the studio. The instructor is very experienced and well known in Bali.
Villa Bulan is located in the heart of Seminyak, approximately 100 meter off the main street. There is almost no traffic nearby and it is very quite and peaceful.
The villa has a large garden where palm trees and nice breeze refreshed our mind and tanned body.
We love to come back to the villa for our next trip. Six days was too short!!

I stayed in Villa Bulan past January 2013, with some friends. A friend who stayed before recommended to us.
The location is great, very close to many restaurants and shops. Also few minutes just walking to the beach.
The decoration is very charming and you feel like at home. Specially because the staff is so friendly and always attentive, they took very good care of the children.
We asked few times the staff to cook for us, and they did an excellent job. They know very well how to cook healthy food, even have some knowledge of janapanese delicious dishes.
I definately would stay here if I come back to Bali and recommend to anyone who wants to get comfort, central location and good care. -

Villa Bulan is a mystic place... Once you have been you will be returning. I will never forget coming to here for the first time, this harmony, beauty is pure love. The magic of this place is really unique. Words to describe this miracle coming to my mind are majestic, stylish, comfortable, cozy and inspiring and pure.
I don't now what is best about Villa Bulan. The design of the place, friendliness and service of the staff and owner or the location. This place is perfect for anything, from honeymoon and family stay to partying with friends or business meetings. For me, there is no better place to stay in Bali, I really am in love with this villa and have been here several times during the last five years.
The Villa consists of two houses, a larger one and a small one. In the first house you'll find three bedrooms and two bathrooms, a spacious living room and a kitchen, in the second there are two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room and a kitchen. A nice pool is in between both houses in a beautiful garden.
Although being situated in the middle of Seminyak, this place is very quite and relaxed. There are many activities you can do, just in walking distance there are nice shops, great restaurants, clubs and delis. The owner is no only very friendly but also knows the best places in the area, no matter what you are up to. To the beach it is only 5 to 10 min walk. Enjoy your stay! -

Nice villa, the staff are very helpful. The villa is nice very roomy with big open spaces. The pool is a great size, larger then normal villa pool. Location is towards Legian so its very central going right takes you further into Seminyak and going left takes you towards Bintang supermarket and Legian.

we were at villa bulan on 2010 for honeymoon. we have seen several villas in bali and in asia. but we've never experienced such a perfect atmosphere. everything is just excellent. the villa is very good equiped. location is in seminyak, which is one of the best parts in bali.
and we would absolutely recommend this villa to everyone, who wants to have a wonderful stay in bali.

If you want to know what is paradise here is the address for you in Bali. Just in the of heart of Bali,perfect location for many restaurants, bars, high end shops are just walking distance. Also 5 mins walk to the beach. Architecture is very interesting beautiful and big garden, big swimming pool. Very clean and friendly stuff. Nice to spend holiday there after exhausted long journey.

One of the best places in Seminyak to stay. I've been going to Bali since 1992, and it still remains my favorite. Run by a charming and very organized Japanese girl, fluent in English and Indonesian, every little detail has been taken care of, the staff is just perfect and will even cook for you. The original architecture and wishful garden gives a lot of privacy and is literally noise free with a beautiful pool in midst of mature vegetation. Villa Bulan can be found at walking distance from all the best shops and restaurants of trendy Seminyak amongst traditional houses and gardens of the Balinese. It has an iconic status, since many famous people threw parties here, - Roman Polanski and Oliver Stone, amongst many others. I am almost reluctant to give this review..since I worry I will not find space next time I go! A great place to stay on your trip to Bali!

I was recommended to stay at Villa Bulan from a friend who regularly stays there when in Bali. 2 Villas are set in a good size compound with a good size swimming pool. I'd recommend Villa Bulan if you're looking for a peaceful, cosey, exotic and down-to-earth place to stay in Seminyak. There is a huge kitchen where you can cook yourselves or the the mades can prepare meals for your, if you prefer.
Villa Bulan is situated in the heart of Seminyak and minutes away from the shopping street of Jl Rya Seminyak.
I didn't have any need to look for another villas to compare during my trip and this place will be my regular place to stay when in Bali. Truly feels like home. Really made my first trip to Bali a very strong impression.

Villa Bulan is conveniently located in the mist of so many popular attractions. Our favorite restaurants, shopping and a quick bike trip to the beach for sunset or early morning beach walks.
Villa Bulan accommodations are spacious and very private with access to a beautiful swimming pool surrounded with mature natural surroundings. The staff is excellent and readily available. I personally loved the serenity the property provided with the specious two bedroom, large living area, and big kitchen. I would highly recommend staying at Villa Bulan for the accommodation, location, and tranquility of the property.

When I go to Bali, I always stay at Villa Bulan.
It have a good hospitality and comfortable space and this aria is convenient for shopping.
I love situation at there...Silent visit to open living room when it is rain.You will get a deep relaxation also look at the beautiful garden..
And, I like private pool. It is clean and wonderful view.
Also, It has very romantic righting at night.
Anyway, You must stay at Villa Bulan when you go to Bali.

We stayed at Villa Bulan for a week while attending a Yoga retreat in Seminyak.
We appreciated every minute we spend in the little piece of paradise the owner Kumi has created. Villa Bulan is very centrally located and minutes away from the renown Bali Deli where you can get just about any kind of food you can fancy.
The staff is dedicated and all smile, they also looked after our little girl on several occasion, we could not be grateful enough for the care and attention they gave her.
Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back !

Villa Bulan is one of Bali's most beautiful villas. Made up of conjoined circular huts with white pillars and thatch roofs and surrounded by mango trees, it has a tropical Balinese aesthetic. The inside of the villa is very clean and tastefully decorated with romantic lighting. Villa Bulan is luxurious on the inside, but you don't feel confined indoors while there. Its expansive open-air spaces allows you to be right in the midst of Bali's gorgeous natural environment.
The villa's pool is large and private with a lovely view of the property's tropical trees and flowers.
The staff is friendly and can prepare delicious cuisine of all sorts.
The villa owner, Kumi, is convivial, accommodating, helpful, and knowledgeable about Bali. She is one of Bali's most well-known residents.
I would highly recommend Villa Bulan to any of my friends as the ideal place to stay while in Bali. It's clean, comfortable, conveniently located in the heart of Seminyak, has great service and feels like Bali should feel.

Every year (for the last 6) we have stayed for at least 2 weeks. We book both villas & always another family joins us plus friends. The girls look after all of us so well but especially our children (8 & 3) It's just like coming home - but without the mess or need to cook!
Long days in the pool, stacks of books & Steve comes every morning for our 90 minute yoga class. We go home feeling fabulous.
Please note there is no star rating for good - because that's where 'comfort' & 'cleanliness' should be. -

I stayed at Villa Bulan with three other couples and it was truly amazing. I've gone to Bali for a few times and stayed at cheap hotel to nice hotels but staying in Villa like Villa Bulan is totally different experience. It really is cozy and feel like we were really living in Bali. Some days we were just chilling at this villa all day reading and swimming... both bali deli and cafe moca are right around the corner from the villa that, sometimes it was really really hard to even get to the beach :)
They have two bulidings in the property with one swimming pool. Each building has nice kitchen. Also near every nice restaurants in Semyak. I wish I could go back there anytime possible. It was really nice staying there. -

8 ladies in one villa could prove to be testing for most but Desak and her team could not have been more accommodating.
From the moment I enquired about Villa Bulan to the moment we were returned to the airport, their service was excellent.
Desak was able to accommodate arrival shopping list to stock the fridge prior to our arrival.
Location was great too.
Just a two minute walk to Restaurants, Cafes, Banks, Shops, Day Spas... the list goes on.
I feel extremely confident in recommending Villa Bulan.

This gorgeous old style villa was a hidden treasure. It is set on gorgeous large grounds and is very quiet and secure. We have 2 young children and they were thrilled to have such a magical environment and access to child friendly facilities. The staff were brilliant and I recommend taking up the opportunity to have them cook for you. From someone obsessed with cooking- truly delicious and authentic. We hope to return one day. Hopefully it remains as it is.Facilities were great.

Villa Bulan is magnificent! The property is nestled in a rice field and offers open-air dining and comfy, plush living spaces. Every room is beautifully decorated. The staff is the most friendly group of people with whom I have ever had the pleasure of spending time! We didn't want to leave; we were so pampered. Honestly, we wanted to take them home with us. We were in heaven and the staff was fabulous and helpful not just with the service but with suggesting places to visit or not visit. They helped us deal with vendors when we went shoppping: what good prices were. They all went out of their way and when we left, they felt like family. We are going back! I(we) would recommend renting this home for any special occasion or just spending a quality vacation with friends or family! Superb restaurants are within walking distance as well.

We definitely enjoyed our stay at Villa Bullan.
We came to bali so many times, but this is our first stay at villa bulan after getting recommendation from my friend.
This villa has a very nice unique design and so quite.
We were comfortably sleeping, myself and husband in 2 beds room villa.
We were looked after by the villa staff who was very friendly and helpful.
The location is wonderful and everything you need just a walking distance, the shops, the famous Bali Deli and other cafes and restaurants.
It's a 10 minutes drive to the Beach.
Thanks for a wonderful vacation

I will never forget my staying in Villa Bulan. It is a very charming villa built in oriental style and very nicely furnished. This is hardly surprising once you know the owner Kumi, a charming Japanese lady living in Bali.
The villa has everything one would like to have during a holiday: two very large bedrooms (and a smaller one), a comfortable living room and a nice swimming pool, not to mention the very kind staff team always keen to help you. It is only 50 meters away from the main street in Seminyak and is absolutely quiet.
My only concern was the lack of internet connection. Maybe this is fixed now, but in any case a Belgian bar 200 meters away has wireless connection.
I am looking forward to going back there...

Villa Bulan is a truly magical villa hidden in the middle of Seminyak.
With it's mystical architecture and breezy gardens you feel like you are miles away from the hustle and bustle of Bali. However minutes from the front door and you are in the centre of shopping and restaurants and close to the beach for sunset and surfing.

The place is incredible
The very friendly staff, they cooked all day and we made an amazing party,and also the cleaning was so good.
The dream location where relaxing.
The villa is incredible, all round and there are no corners
The bathrooms, the rooms, the kitchen,the pool, the garden is incredible
I've been to Bali many times

I stayed at Villa Bulan for 10 days during surf trip and had a peaceful and relaxed time. I really liked the location and overall coziness of the place.
The villa is located in the heart of Seminyak and walking distance to the main street Jalan Seminyak. Lovely looking buildings look like scene from Hayao Miyazaki's animation movie and provide warm atmosphere. Well maintained garden and pool further enhances coziness and I was able to get away from the noise of hectic Bali streets and rest my tired body in peace. The place is quiet day and night. Only noise around are sound of wind and rain and call of frog and gekko. Mosquitos were sometimes annoying but I felt secured with mosquitos net during sleep.

I'm French, we going to Villa Bulan 4 couples 2 child. It was my best Holidays...The villa it's so big end the garden splendid two big trees 15 metres with yellow flower, coconut trees, and in front of the bigger villa beautiful trees with white leaf like snow tree in tropical island, this garden look like Park in central area of Seminyak !!!
We all like the swimming area, particularly the children...
The architecture of the house, it's nice mix of style, Indian and oriantal-style. all of the pieces are round and very comfortable. the staff of the villa helped to make our holidays beautiful for all of us. Of course the place very clean and noiselessly.
Special thanks for the landlady, she give nice recommendation for our holidays and nice address of restaurant, shopping etc...
