We travelled with two teenagers and i can only describe our stay as perfect. restaurants, Shopping, food markets and of course the beach were all within easy walking distance and a short and cheap taxi ride and we were in the centre of the nightlife. From the moment we arrived at the airport Wayan boy was there to ensure we were well looked after qnd always with suggestions of different activities or relaxation for us all.His obvious knowledge and pride in his culture made our stay something more then your stereotypical Bali holiday. The beautiful Ketut and Wayan girl were always there to please us and those big smiles always gave us something to look forward to each day. We cant thank them enough. We were lucky enough to be invited to the Wayans home and participate in a traditional ceremony which we will be forever greatful for. The hospitality they showed towards us was unbelievable and the satays well Yummee is all i can say. The villa itself had everything we needed .the beds were all comfortable. the minute you opened the door after a day out we felt like we were at home

Janmaree was absolutley amazing. Her staff is perfect. All local people who speaks perfect english and are very knowlegble about there culture.
The villa is like a dream, good location and the same staff of the villa can arrenge you all the tours and activities to do.
Amazing experience totally recomendable.

Villa 888 was our home in Bali for 10 days in January 2013. The location of Villa 888 in Seminyak is just perfect - close to all conveniences but tucked away in a quiet area. The spaciousness of the Villa along with 3 bathrooms the villa provided for a family with 3 teenagers was just terrific. We all loved having the independence of the motorbikes (kindly coordinated by Wayon) to whizz off wherever and whenever we chose but always had the option of the very informative Wayon to drive us as well. Janmaree, Wayon, Wayon and Ketut did their utmost to ensure our every holiday need was met. Wayon & Ketut were delightfully attentive, Wayon so enlightening and obliging, Janmaree the everfriendly and professional owner. Thankyou all for making our holiday so enjoyable.

Villa 888 is a quiet little villa out of the way from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak. Having said that though, within a couple minutes walk, you are at the door of all the necessities. Money changer, Circle K, laundry, bars, restaurants, shopping, massages, gym etc.
Spend a couple of minutes in a taxi and you will arrive at some of the best restaurants in Seminyak (Potato Head, Sardine, Sarong, La Lucciola etc)
Janmaree was very attentive and when I made a couple of requests she was at our door step within 15 minutes.
Ketut was great and has the biggest smile you've ever seen. Although new to her role, she was fantastic.
Then there is Wayan (the driver). This guy is what Bali is all about. He is so passionate about his home and his people. If you have the opportunity, let him make suggestions about what to do and where to go if you want an authentic Bali experience. He is an amazing guy.
We were lucky enough to meet his family and community in his village preparing for the New Years Eve celebrations, something I will never forget
If you are planning on staying within the next few months though, you will encounter quite a bit of noise from the construction next door. Not a huge drama, we got used to it but it is noisy.Response from Wayan and Team 888 - 01/11/2013

The one good thing about Bali is that construction is lightening fast, even in the short time since you were here a cute little coffee shop has opened just before the corner.
Well, if you think Ketut has a big smile it was even bigger when I read your review to her, very up lifting and reassuring for both her and I, thank you.

Such a lovely,friendly and clean villa situtated close to everything you need. I enjoyed out time there, having english speaking Wayan available to cook brekky and tidy up after us, and fresh airconditioned rooms with super comfy king siz beds! It was a delight just to stay in and recover from cocktails and shopping. Jan Maree was very professional and helpful. I recommend it!

Stayed here with my partner and a couple of friends. The villa was beautiful plenty of common space so we could enjoy each others company but also enough privacy with large bedrooms and separate bathrooms (loved the outdoor bathroom!!).
The pool was a great size and we all enjoyed feeding the turtles and the outdoor areas. Nothing was too much trouble and we enjoyed all of the things that were recommended to us from Wayan's tour to the massage from Murdi.
Janmarees food recommendations were spot on and led us to some amazing eating and drinking definitely a highlight! Location was great nothing was too far away the only minor downside was construction going on next door which was a bit noisy during the day but just a slight inconvenience and did not impact the enjoyment of our stay.
Absolutely loved having filtered water available readily as I hate having to constantly be buying bottled water and fresh fruit chopped up in the fridge. Everything was clean and open and I would stay here again and recommend to anybody. I enjoyed it a thousand times more than my last stay in Bali at a big hotel.

I would like to say a big thank you to Janmaree and the team (Ketut, and both Wayan's) at Villa 888. It was our first time in Bali and my husband and I had a fantastic time.
Upon arrival at the airport we were greeted by our driver Ketut. He was holding a large sign with our names and escorted us to his air-conditioned van. He spoke very good English and drove us to our villa.
Janmaree and Wayan greeted us on our arrival and showed us through the villa and handed over keys. The villa was immaculate - clean, bright and airy. Loved the outdoor showers, and the private pool area was a definite highlight.
We spend 8 nights at Villa 888 and it was very relaxing and quiet - both day and night- and the Villa has many different areas to choose from if you wanted to sit and read a book. We spent many hours in the outdoor area, in the pool, and watching the fish and turtles in the pond.
The villas proximity to eateries and convenience stores in walking distance was perfect. We could dine in 5 star restaurants like Sardine and Sarong or go to great cafes like Thai Corner and Biku. So many other great spots like Potato Head and Ku De Ta are close by - if its hot I would recommend to get a Taxi there... which are so cheap.
Wayan (our housekeeper) came in the mornings to cook breakfast and clean. She was so kind and friendly and even organised laundry services for us, nothing was too much trouble for her. Her husband (also Wayan), drove us around Kuta, Ubud and Jimbaran Bay and told us about the the Balinese culture. His English was very good, is very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor.
I would highly recommend Villa 888. Janmaree and her staff definitely made our time in Bali one to remember.

I'm really pleased that you added the comment about it being hot and grab a taxi, as I totally agree, if you are going to walk, then do it in the morning or evening, but through the heat of the day why not make life comfortable and grab a 50c cab...

My Girlfriends and I had a great 5 day stay in Seminyak in Jan Maree's Villa. It was nice and clean and the decor was lovely. We had two large bedrooms with outdoor ensuites and then a smaller room and inside bathroom. There was a fully equiped kitchen, dining and living are. We really liked the pool and outdoor dining gazebo..It was a great way to relax after our hot shopping expeditions. The outdoor bathrooms are beautiful and the beds are very comfy. Wayun was really lovely and kept the villa spotless and was so polite and easy to talk to. She also did some inhouse cooking for us which was delicious. Her husband(another Wayan) is available to organise any tours that you would like to do, he took us out shopping for a day and also organized for us to have massages in the villa. So nothing is really too much trouble. Jan Maree is lovely and we were able to meet her on arrival and also at the end of our stay. She is very open to hearing all about your Bali adventures and also to any suggestions that you have to make her already beautiful villa any better or more comfortable for her guests. We did need to get a taxi to main shopping Seminyak but its such a minimal charge and also there are plenty of great places to eat so close by. The thing I liked the most was definately the outdoor area and the pool, the thing I liked the least was probably having staff on hand all day, and this is only because this was my first villa stay and not used to this scenario I suppose. So no fault to them just my personal quirk.

I have brought some hair dryers and Iron, so thanks for the critique I appreciate it. Now guests will have more valuable shopping space in their suitcases by not having to bring their own.
In the information letter I send prior to arrival I make mention of staff hours and that they are at the discression of the guest, I have spoken with the staff and will change my wording so as guests are more comfortable with instructing the staff, and, the staff are more responsive. Upon arrival I will personally address this matter. Once VILLA OBEROI is operational ( early next year) I will have a team of staff so as cleaning etc. can be done much more quickly. Once again thank you, your feed back is very important for the continued improvement and growth of VILLA 888 BALI.

Villa 888 is amazing!! From the moment we arrived, we felt at ease and were warmly welcomed. We had the most wonderul service from the Wayans and Janmaree. Janmaree is so lovely--we gave her very short notice (just a few hours) and she couldn't have been a more welcoming and accomodating host :) Both Mr and Mrs Wayan were fabulous with our children (who loved them, too), and both were so helpful with anything we needed. Mr Wayan took us on fantastic tours outside of Seminyak and really helped us to get a better understanding of Balinese culture--even bringing traditional outfits for us to dress-up in!
The beds are incredibly comfortable. The villa is gorgeous and was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. It had all the modcons we could possibly need. The frig was stocked with food and fruit was always cut-up for our kids to enjoy. We really couldn't have asked for a better experience. The villa is in a superb location--so close to all the great restaurants/shopping/beaches/spas. Can't say a bad thing about it!! Just want to go back soon :) Thank you for making our holiday an unforgettable experience!

We stayed for 12 days at Villa 888 and found it to be a great experience. Our friends were staying in rooms in Kuta which were dark and not very welcoming, but Villa 888 was so bright and spacious. a perfect place to stay with our own pool and lovely cool air conditioning. We also loved the outdoor showers!! Our personal maid, Wayan, cut fresh fruit up for us every day and would make light meals if requested. She also kept the villa very clean. Janmaree, the owner, was very helpful with where to shop and eat, and helping us with any requests. With four teenagers in our family, the wifi was very much appreciated. A great place to come home to at the end of a long hard day.

The Villa is so very very clean, fresh with no musty smells. Everything in the Villa worked perfectly with the best Wifi in Bali!! Air con thoughout the Villa worked a treat. Fabulous pool & our housemaid Wayan couldn't do enough to make our stay extravigant, fresh fruit juice in the morning with a dash of Vodka added for afternoon treat, nothing was too much trouble for her. janmaree worked tirelessly behind the scene, finding all that we needed at local prices. Was close to the best shopping, restaurants & a gorgeous beach!!

Villa 888 is a perfect oasis of calm in vibrant Seminyak. It's peaceful and totally secluded yet a few minutes walk if you want shops, restaurants, bars or a massage and a 50 cent taxi ride to world class resorts like Ku De Ta or the ridiculously spectacular Potato Head.
Dealing with Janmaree was a breeze from our very first enquiry and she did everything possible to ensure that our every need was catered for. Communication was easy, fast and very friendly. She arranged everything, from a driver to collect us from the airport to specially training one of her staff in cocktail making... what great service!
The villa itself is beautifully themed and very well appointed with modern appliances, new air conditioning and even wi-fi for people who don't know what a holiday is.
It's very comfortable with many attractive and quirky features. The brilliant indoor/outdoor bathrooms are a design idea that I intend to shamelessly steal for my next house.
I've stayed in five star hotels and resorts all over the world and am pretty difficult to please - but Villa 888 ticked every box.

If you are after comfort with a bit of fun and a location to dine for then this is it you are just meters from everything yet you have your own private oasis to chill in after a big day/night/afternoon. you honestly can't beat the villa as it is just perfect with central pool, mod finishes outdoor bathrooms etc and the best of Seminyak is right outside your door.

I had the great fortune to find and stay in this amazing villa in the heart of seminyak. Villa 888 offers luxury peace and quiet at affordable prices . I only stayed a wk but it was total bliss . The villa is stunning with exquisite decore , it has the feel of home away from home.
Villa 888 location is within 7 min s from the beach and surrounded by amazing restaurant s , a few bars all with in 5 mins walk .

Stayed with 3 girlfriends all looking for a relaxing Bali holiday, and boy did we get exactly what we were looking for! Waking up in the morning and walking straight into the pool was the perfect start to the day. ?Brilliant location in Seminyak and only a short drive to Legian & Kuta.??I've always stayed in resorts so this was my first time in a Villa and I loved it! I will definitely be back.??The photo's of Villa 888 certainly do it justice, it really is as good it looks and it definately has a wow factor! Magnificent out door bathrooms, the beds and linen are pure quality, the entire villa reeks quality and detail.?? Did I mention that the perfect end to the day was having a gin & tonic in your own pool with no time restriction!!?Just do it, book a holiday at Villa 888- you wont be disappointed...see you next year guys...

What a perfect location! As soon as we arrived at Villa 888 we felt instantly relaxed. Janmaree was wonderful and provided us with so much information and tips for our holiday.
Villa 888 is fresh, new, beautiful and has everything you need - including a lovely housekeeper and tour driver!
Only regret is we couldn't spend more time in the Villa.

i have just returned from staying at villa 888 in bali.the place is heaven.
the villa is gorgeous and in a good location.
the staff were very friendly and helpful.janmarree the owner was very warm and accomodating.
the villa was extremely clean and had all the luxuries that i wanted.
can't wait to go and stay there again.

I had the great fortune of finding and staying for a glorious week at this superb villa in the heart of Seminyak .Upon my arrival I was met by the Villa staff who where very welcoming and helpful.
The villa is stunning ,with every amenity that you could possibly need for a awesome vacation,very peaceful,yet the location is perfect ,within walking distance of superb restaurant"s and Bars.

A beautifull Villa, smack in the Center of fashionable Seminyak.
Delicious swimming pool and bathrooms dripping with live orchids.
Pristine condition all round and the lovely hostess ensured we were well looked after.
We will book again.

It was wonderful to finally meet you.
I have taken your advice re: the fish pond and recently purchased a UV light for the filter and some aquatic plants. :)
I had a very interesting day visiting the bird markets where the fish are sold and would recommend that when next you stay we organise a tour for you.
A little confronting...but a memorable and hmmmmm ,different type of Balinese experience.

Beautiful & clean home with a relaxing and accomodating atmosphere. Wayan the housekeeper was exceptional with our son Hamish 7 months old. Wayan husband was excellent tour guide taking us to places others would never seen, such as, local ceremony of a wedding. The housekeeper came 2 days and minded Hamish when we went white water rafting, elephant rides and to the markets. They were like family to us and miss them already, especially our son Hamish..Thank you Janmaree for a wonderful holiday we will be back next year to Villa 888.

Comfortable, classy and great value, coupled with the warmth of hospitality offered by Janmaree and Wayen ensure you leave with a strong desire to return...we rode push bikes arou.d Seminyak and found adventuring out by this means of transport, safe and convenient. Even riding from the Villa to Kuta and Legian was a fun and easy trip. We found Seminyak offered a more relaxed environment than the busier Kuta and Legian areas without being too far from the vibrant dining, shopping

We stayed 2 night at 888 villa and it was an excellent experience. The owner and the staff are very kind and welcoming. The villa is very beautiful and nicely decorated. I certainly recommand it.

Great Villa and Pool, clean and homely through out. Service was 1st class, Jan Maree and her housekeeper were very welcoming and helpful. Location was perfect close to everything. Would definitely stay again

My family and i loved our 3 bedroom vila , the pool is gorgeous , the villa is band new , so nice and fresh , and still haveing the Balinese feel to it , location wise it is fantastic still close to all the shopping and all the best resturants surrounding us , we have just rebooked we are defiantly go back. As soon as you walk thru the front gate, you go wow and continue to go wow through-out the house, it was a lovely experience to have stayed with Janmaree.
Very hospitable, comfortable, she has thought of everything.

Staying at Villa 888 was a wonderful experience. Janmaree is friendly, helpful and provides an organised, relaxing experience for the Bali traveller. Highly recommend the Villa for accommodation. It is close to all the "hot spots" in Seminyak for the discerning traveller.

My short stay at Villa 888 was wonderful in every way..Brand new everything...beautifully decorated with an eye for detail..JanMaree made sure my stay was totally relaxing... from check in to check out everything was hassle free.
Location was terrific a short stroll to great local dining, deli ..beach is very close but I enjoyed the privacy of the pool and sun bed after a busy day out...
Wyan the house keeper was a pleasure and very helpful..even teaching me a few words of Indonesian...I will stay again ...very comfy beds, beautiful bathrooms..showering in a garden of orchids..
Great wifi and all the cablt TV chanels..
