The splendid, four-bedroom, Villa De Suma rests upon 600 square metres of land within the secure and prestigious Laksmana Villas Estate, just footsteps away from the Indian Ocean at Petitenget Beach, Seminyak, on Bali’s southwest coast.

Completed in 2013, the contemporary architectural style maximises space and embraces a rustic-yet-refined theme. The prope...rty is characterised by red tiled roofs, dark recycled ironwood timbers, volcanic lava stone, grey polished concrete floors, custom-designed modern furnishings and Asian antiques. The villa is comprised of three buildings – a living and dining pavilion, open at the front to the pool and garden; and two, double-storey, sleeping pavilions, each housing two bedrooms.

At Villa De Suma everything possible has been considered for the comfort and entertainment of the guests. The villa is supported by a team of highly trained, friendly staff headed by a villa manager who will oversee and coordinate the staff and property, and is available to assist guests during their stay. The team also includes an in-house chef and 24-hour personal butlers, while the estate is guarded by a security team operating on a 24-hour shift basis. Airport transfer, baby-sitting, spa services and the facilities of a car and driver are all available at extra cost. An à la carte fixed-price menu offers international and Asian dishes as well as local specialties, and daily breakfast is inclusive.

There are four air-conditioned bedrooms at Villa De Suma, two upstairs and two downstairs, paired in the standalone double-storey pavilions at either end of the swimming pool. Each is equipped with a safe deposit box, an independently controlled satellite-channel TV, a DVD player, and an iPod dock. Three of the bedrooms are furnished with king-sized beds and one is furnished with Hollywood twin beds that convert to a king-sized bed if required. Each of the upstairs bedrooms has a high, timber-lined roof and a ceiling fan as well as air-conditioning, and a wide wooden balcony supported by rustic recycled timber pillars and sheltered by a roof. Each bedroom is adjoined by an en-suite bathroom incorporating a large dressing area fitted with wardrobes, a wide washbasin, toilet, and a walk-in monsoon shower with a handheld option under a pergola roof. The upstairs bathrooms are fitted with bathtubs, while the downstairs bathrooms open to private corners of the swimming pool adjacent to sheltered pool deck terraces.

The magnificent, open-fronted, living and dining pavilion epitomises tropical living at its very best. Bordered by the swimming pool, sun deck, garden and fish ponds, this massive room is cooled by natural breezes and ceiling fans. Recycled black ironwood pillars, crafted from old electricity poles, railway sleepers and bridges, support a towering, two-tiered, red-tiled roof, from which hang glass lanterns above a paved polished-concrete floor. The style is masculine and majestic, inspired by a Chinese farmhouse, decorated in neutral shades, and completed with comfortable modern furnishings and glass-fronted cabinets filled with antique artefacts, books and magazines. Entered via an imposing Chinese front door, the pavilion features two distinct areas, one for living and one for dining with a table for ten. Audio-visual facilities include a Bose music system, a satellite-channel TV and a DVD player.

The walled garden and pool deck, combined with the grand scale of the living pavilion, makes Villa De Suma the ideal tropical setting for parties, weddings, reunion celebrations, cocktail receptions, barbeques and other functions. The sizeable modern kitchen provides the staff with the equipment and facilities to cater for a wide variety of events and a large number of guests.

Villa De Suma is situated 12 kilometres from Bali’s international airport in the hip ‘n happening Seminyak / Petitenget area. The villa is just 400 metres from the Petitenget Beach – the western extension of Seminyak/Legian/Kuta Beach, on the island’s southwest coast, which is well-known for its world-class surf breaks, panoramic views and legendary sunsets. This part of the beach is filled with beach bars, sun beds and umbrellas, and patrolled by lifeguards.

A wide choice of internationally-renowned, fine dining restaurants and beach clubs are all within two kilometres. The area also boasts a plentiful selection of designer boutiques, homeware stores, lavish spas, chic lounges and vibrant nightspots. Many of the restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance, and taxis cruise by every few minutes.   We stayed at Villa de Suma Seminyak and was amazed and overwelmed by the high standard of service, the villa ambiance and the attention to details in all aspect.
  The location cannot get any better...Laksmana complex is the most sophisticated complex in Bali.
  Price wise was very reasonable as we were 8 of us in a 4 bedrooms.
