Sveti Juraj - idyllic fishermen place and harbor on the coast of the Velebit channel.
It is placed in a tame, shallow and well-protected bay with a beautiful pebble beach, just perfect for a family vacation. Besides the beach in the place itself, there are several great beaches nearby in the Raca, Zrnovnica, Azic-Lokva, Lukovo, Klada Donja and Starigrad Donji for you to visit. The crystal blue sea hides shells and rocks interested for kids to explore in the shoal of the beach, but also beautiful virgin sea flora and fauna for those more experienced ones to enjoy. If you like fishing, snorkeling or scuba diving, you can’t choose better place. All of these you can do it just in front of Villa, as we do. There are two scuba diving centers in Sveti Juraj and many attractive scuba diving locations around.
Also do not miss the opportunity to try out fresh sea food specials! We recommend you take a half on hour boat trip to the Island of Prvic, an Park of Nature with amazing beaches and a home of protected bird griffon volture.
Also, we highly recommend you visit nearby inlet Zavratnica, which is probably one of the most beautiful coves of the Croatian Adriatic. Regarded as one of the major tourist attractions of the northern coastal area because of its beauty, Zavratnica was designated a protected landscape in 1964.
Sveti Juraj is situated 10 km south of historic city of Senj, famous for its turbulent and amazing medieval history, that has left behind one of Croatian symbols - the "Nehaj" fortress. Nehaj is now a museum where you can see and learn all about sea battles, weapons, clothing, and medieval customs. Also, many entertainment events take place in Senj, where we can point out Summer Carnival. You can also choose from great bars and night clubs in the city.
If you wish to explore green parts of Croatia, after enjoying the blue parts, no problem! Just above Sveti Juraj you can find Kuterevo, a small village where a shelter for wild bears is located. For those of you who like biking, you will have memorable times exploring all of the bike trails in the area and experiencing beautiful surroundings. For great hiking and mountain climbing you should visit Velebit, the largest and longest Croatian mountain. From its top Zavizan you will reward yourself with the most liberating, divine view of Croatian islands you can imagine. On specially clear day, you can see the contours of Italian coast.

Our sea view appartment had a full sea view! A beautiful, bright, spacious, 2 bed, fully equipped appartment, with a spacious balcony that has a wonderful view of the island of Krk and surrounding islands. Our hosts, Vesna and Cedo were delightful, friendly, genuine people and their hospitality made our stay all the more welcoming. The mountains and countryside nearby are breathtaking. The local foods is absolutely divine! A truly wonderful experience and we would return again for sure!

From our initial contact with the owners of this glorious property we were impressed by their warmth and hospitality. The property was reasonably new, tastefully furnished and cleaned to perfection providing every comfort required when traveling.

The place is really great and very close to seaside with a nice panoramic view of the nearest islands over the sea. Apartments are located out from the main place so you will be able to enjoy in the peace and silence night with the natural sound of sea waves.
The service was up on the high professional level with a lot of owner's kindness. Both apartments are nicely decorated in the modern style and you will find there whatever you need.
Owners are so kind that you will enjoy in your pleasant vacation.

We were in an ecological oasis of the Kvarner Bay, untouched nature, picturesque villages and beautiful wild beaches. That is in Sveti Juraj where Mediterranean Sea deepest cut in the Europe. We were rested our mind and palates what was great merit of our gracious friendly hosts.
The last, but not least, I have mentioned modern and nicely furnished apartment where were stayed.

It was one of the best place where I have been in my life!
The first is The cleanest sea and a fresh air because The apartment is located in the national park. There are no many turists in village. The apartment is great. It has everything what you need.
Every morning we saw unforgettable view from terrasa had a dinner with sunset in the evening and swam very often becouse off private beach near the apartment. The owner Vesna is very frendly and kind woman. She can answer any question about everything you need for your travel. A real pleasure to stay in this guest house, both for the amenities and the host family. Everything in the appartment is like new and well maintained. It was purpose-built as a rental, not an afterthought. We enjoyed the amazing views from the terrace both day and night, and of course at sunset. The air conditioning works great as well. Access to the water doesn't get much better, but always with caution to cross the road with busy summer traffic, and recommend water shoes on the rocky coast for kids or soft feet. One other Helpful hints to future guests : When driving to the house, driveway access is best, if not mandatory, when going north (due to the sharp angle). Great location for sea or mountain nature areas. If driving to Plitvice NP, go via Senj for fastest route and not-so-twisty roads. The park is amazing, but crazy crowded in august.

Very nice people, speaking english. The appartment was clean, with full equipment and with a beautiful view. Their is a car park but now trail to go by foot around the house. It is 700 meters from the village but we need a car. To get to the sea, only a road to cross!

Not very often you find a Place like this in Croatia - great view, nice and clean rooms, free WiFi and very friendly owners. Also the price is fair.

Truly gorgeous apartment with terrace giving inspirational panoramic sea views. Clean, well-equipped, absolutely delightful owners (friendly, helpful, unintrusive). Easy walk to village with amenities and steps down to sea for swimming in clearest water you have ever seen! Peaceful area, not overdeveloped. No negative comments to make. Do make sure you can take panoramic photos!

This is a truly picturesque setting for a perfect, relaxing holiday, with the most amazing sun sets. The apartment is really 5 star quality and the hosts, Cedo and Vesna are extremely helpful, friendly and the perfect hosts. We had an amazing time and would love one day to go back. Close to the village with a shop and good restaurants and easy accessible. The only down side is the coastal road which can be noisy at times.

Our host Mr. and Mrs. Maricic were very nice and they provided us excellent hospitality.
Appartment is a high standard buldining with a lot of attention on details. No question that balcony and panorama is the biggest strenght of it.

The apartment is in a very good shape. The furniture is quit new and look in harmony. The balcony has an impressive view on the sea and also equipped with good furniture. We enjoyed the stay. Vesna & Cedo's adriatic Villa, First, I would like to thank them both personally for being so friendly and patient with our arrival and time spent at the Villa. From the first time I spoke to Cedo, he was very courteous. The only problem that I had was on my part. I had a bad experience at the Croatian border because of my passport. My passport was expired and they didn't concur with just my Military I.D and paperwork. So having to drive 8 hours there and 8 hours back to Germany, my family and I were so exhausted and wanting to just cancel the trip for good. After explaining to my wife that the money spent for the Villa and the pictures on the internet, we had to see this place for ourselves. So back on the road we went with the correct documents and driving another 8 hours to the border. Once we were near the town of Senj, we paused for a minute and got off the car for a beautiful picture with the family. All of the driving nightmare that we had, went away for a moment. We continued to follow our Navigon to the address that Cedo provided. Once near the village, Vesna waited for us at the center of the village. We then followed Vesna to the Villa with the pretty view of the adriatic Sea on the left. Unfortunately, Cedo wasn't available due to work related. The Villa was by far the most cleanest, cozy, and wife quoting, "It smells so good here". My experience here in Sveti Jurah was awesome. My recommendations is to come here with plenty of fishing poles, use squid for bait. Pay for your license at the Senj Post Office and then show your receipt to the nice lady at the Fishing issuing place. If you get caught without a fishing license, your fine is 3000 Kunas, which is equivalent to $570 U.S dollars or 400 Euros. Bring lots of Euro's for the tolls in austria and Slovenia. Drive slow through austria so you won't get a Speeding ticket like I did. Speed limit in austria is 130 KPH and not 177 KPH, ouch!!! Over all, Vesna and Cedo were amazing.

We were very, very pleased with our stay at Villa arca adriatica. The Villa very nice furnished and well equipped, everything that could be possibly needed was there. We really enjoyed our stay. The host, Vesna, was waiting us down the building when we arrived. She is so nice,sincerely person, and I had feeling that we come like to our relatives. We were surprised with bottle of wine and very delicious pie. I and our friends family enjoyed every day with the sea view and beautiful sunset with glass of wine in the cosy
terrace. Villa is conveniently located: small rock beach is across the street, city is near and bigger beach not very far. I recommend this Villa, and really hope that we can return there someday. The last summer my wife and I were really enjoying our vacation in Sveti Juraj. Apartment Gajeta is butyl, very well equipment, with nice terrace and stunning view on the Kvarner Bay surrounded by adriatic islands. I was pleased with a small private beach that is located just few steps down the apartment front yard. But the greatest were our hosts Vesna and Cedo, we enjoyed day trips that Cedo taken us with his small boat around that beautiful bay, then evening by the grill with delicious adriatic fish and excellent Croatian wine, unforgettable.

We are from Germany and the trip with 6 people in the car and the trailer was very hard 20 hours with all the traffic jam..as we arrived we all were tired and bushed. But then the very nice house owner opend the curtains and we saw the wonderful sunset and we all forget the hard drive. :) The nicest sunset we have ever seen. I now have a picture from this beautiful sunset in my living room, because it is so amazing when the sun goes down into the sea and I wanted to save this great moments.
All in all we had a very great time at Gajeta. We spend two weeks with our friends and our boat. The buoy was directly in front of the house. The owners flat is downstairs and whenever we needed some help our support they were present and every time very friendly. The flat is very tidy and comfortable. It is a great location for a calm and restorative holiday. From Sveti Juraj you can visit some great places...for example Plitvicer. It is also a good choice to come with boat.
