Capella Apartment also enjoys an exceptional position overlooking the city of Florence and the Arno valley. On the property of Capella Apartment one can stroll through its celebrated Renaissance Gardens. Visitors can contemplate the beauty of the garden design and its unique setting in the Tuscan landscape. Rich in history, Capella Apartment discloses its charms little by little to those who allow themselves the time to look, think and explore.... Set on the hillside of Settignano with extraordinary views of Florence and the surrounding Arno valley, this Villa is renowned for its splendid gardens, celebrated throughout the world by leading landscape architects and garden historians. This is a wonderful apartment on 2 levels. On the ground floor you will find the kitchen that comes complete with a washing machine, oven, 4 burner gas stove, and dishwasher. There is a beautiful feature here which is the original marble sink. The apartment has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There are 2 double rooms and one twin room. Wooden stairs lead up to the first level where you will find a twin room and also a little playroom full or toys for small children. Large French doors lead from the living area out onto the beautiful gardens. This apartment is also furnished throughout with antiques and you will find frescoed walls. The ' Cappella ' apartment is located along the Garden Avenue, a charming walkway leading down to the ' Grotto ' . It was originally a 17th-century Chapel, which belonged to the family of the distinguished sculptor and architect Bernardo Rossellino. Guests are invited to use the gardens and private swimming-pool.   The apartment was very nice. Close to Florence, but not close enough. Spent a lot of money on cabs going to and from the city center. This would have been good for a few days to relax, but when you're sightseeing you really do not want to be "stuck" in a remote location. Clean, well-maintained with attentive housekeepers. Yes, there was a TV, but not one English station. Don't be fooled by washing machine...it took 2-1/2 hrs. to do 1 load and they really didn't look that much cleaner, but smelled better. Little town at the bottom of the hill very quaint, but not a lot there. Would probably not do the "villa" thing again. Best to stay in a hotel with access to the city whenever you want, especially Florence where everything is within walking distance.

  definately if you want to be really close to a town either a city centre apartment is better or a hotel, especially if you like extra services.
  This property is rented also through me but i didnt deal specifically with these clients, they booked either directly with the owner or through another agency.
  Definately a car is better here and the town of Settignano is quaint, there are a few trattorias/pizzerias, a lovely wine bar and a few general stores. You are definately 'in the hills of Florence' it is a very exclusive area, wonderful views, olives all around and views as far as the eye can see. Washing machines here yes, they do take much longer, 2.5 hrs must have been the super duper setting! Mine, I can normally get away wth about an hour- still much longer than other standards.
