Red cedar log cabin just below the ridge on wooded 1/2 acre gently sloping lot @ 4,800' altitude between Boone and Banner Elk in Seven Devils only 1/2 mile from Hawksnest zipline and tubing runs. Cool mountain temps usually in the 70s all summer (10 degrees cooler than Boone) near Beech and Sugar Mountains for skiing. Completely furnished in country getaway theme including newly upgraded granite kitchen counters. All linens and cooking gear provided. Sleeps 6 with 2 queen beds and 2 twins. The Town of Seven Devils is a 4 season small resort town (700 homes and condos) located about 10 miles west of Boone, NC near the resort towns of Sugar, Beech Mountains and Banner Elk in the heart of the "High Country" with altitudes up to 4,800' for cool summers and year around ziplining at Hawksnest (longest run on the East coast),also offering tubing in the winter and two skiing mountains 15 minutes away in winter. Hiking trails abound, with the closest at Grandfather mountain, and the Blue Ridge Parkway 10 -15 minutes away. The area has a lot of different restaurants and historic attractions such as the Mast General Store, still operating after more than 100 years 15 minutes away.

We love this cabin so much we've rented it for the last six years in a row. We have a touring motorcycle and enjoy its close proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway and many other scenic, winding roads. Eastern view means morning sun and mountain shading in the evenings. Being high on the mountain means its cool in the summer and there's always a breeze. We've never encountered flies, gnats, or mosquitoes. The winding road leading to the cabin is well paved. The community is very quiet and safe. Its a rustic log cabin yet has all the amenities of a well equipped home (with the exception of a garbage disposal). Everything always works...yet if there is a issue, the owner is two doors over and takes care of it immediately.

If you're looking for that perfect private mountain hideaway this is the place. It has that rustic feel, but there is nothing rustic about the accommodations. It has everything that you would find in the most expensive resort.
It's out of the mainstream, but close enough to shopping, restaurants, and activities to satisfy your adventurous side.
The owners are delightful and accommodating...far enough away to maintain your privacy, but close enough to answer your questions, and to recommend things to see and do.
It's delightful in so many ways! I promise that you won't be disappointed.

My wife and I had the honor and pleasure of staying a week in this gorgeous home. I admit, it is everything we are looking for in the home we intend or retiring to when my career is complete with the us army. It has everything from the quiet surrounds to all the warm comforts you could ask for. My wife and I still consider our stay there as our honeymoon spot. It is perfectly nestled up on the mountain, but the comforts of town are only a few minutes below. The owners are the sweetest of folks and took the tenderest care of the home. It would make and be a true gem to who ever get the privilege to own it. It can only wish it were me and my family.

Beautiful well mainteained cabin located high on a ridgeline that offers spectacular views from the deck. Very quiet and peaceful. Bill & Elaine are very gracious and will make sure your stay is top notch! Word cannot express the complete satisfaction of the week I spent at the cabin. By far the best experience I have ever experienced with a rental.
