EatonNice grounds and excellent pool bar & grill.
Left on 07/25/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We stayed 16 nights, 17 days. Upon arrival we checked in at the rental office and was suppose to see Debbie, she was out and I believe his name was Mike that we dealt with. Never did see Debbie the whole time we were there. After check-in we went to our oceanview condo and was a little disappointed, our condo was nothing like any of the pics. The furnishings definitely needed to be updated as well as the small electric appliances and large ones. The beds have wheels on them so every time you moved the bed moved. I think we must have gotten a property owned condo instead of a private owned one. (Some family members rented a condo and there's was very well decorated, well kept, and nice appliances, they had things listed to do, the phone numbers of all the condos, and a guest book, etc.)
We started to discover that we had some problems that needed to be dealt with. Ants on the counters,(that we could not get rid of) master bath door knob falling off, no umbrella for the deck, so we could not sit on the deck in the afternoon due to the intense sun. I went to the rental office on a Monday to report the problems and no one was there, it seemed every time I did go to the office it was closed or no one on the premises. A cleaning lady took care of us and wrote down all the problems. Three or four days later we still hadn't seen or heard anything from the office so I emailed the corporate office to explain the problems we were having, then things started getting taking care of. We also had construction going on in the condo next to ours so everyday early morning we heard them working, not something we wanted to deal with while on vacation. We also lost cable for five days due to construction.
The Cayman Islands are very expensive. If you take a taxi make sure you ask if you are being quoted in Cayman or us dollars. Bus is cheaper and they run about every 15 mins.
Things to do: Definitely swim with the Dolphins at Dolphin Cove, Stingray City, Atlantis Sub or glass bottom boat.
Do do do visit Christina, Natasha, Megan and Jesse at Billy Bones Pool Bar & Grill on the grounds. These folks are wonderful, nice, fantastic bartenders and will answer any questions you have on what to do or where to eat. They also can mix some drinks and have great food. They became like family.
The best thing we all liked about this property was the great view of the sea, property grounds and the pool bar.
