We have stayed many times on Grand Cayman, but this was our first visit to the avalon. Ground floor unit was perfect for us and our teenagers, as we could just step out to the beach. Unit was nice and clean - our only complaint was a mild smell of mildew (which we know is common in the Caribbean, and to which we are sensitive because of allergies), which was addressed by the staff by bringing dehumidifiers in. Might be helpful to have them always in the unit. We enjoyed the screened in porch every day. Overall, an almost perfect stay, even with Tropical Storm Ernesto visiting!

I have stayed in this room over 15 times. I really love this villa but think they need to have better shutters on the front bedroom windows and on the front door. i may have to switch villas because of this problem. I have reported this many times to mangement.

This had been our 6th or 7th stay at the avalon. Management and staff are tops. A new kitchen renovation and new living room sectional added to the comfort of this particular unit. Nearby construction noise did somewhat upset the balance of this normally quiet strip of paradise.

My wife and I spent a week in the Caymans w a 2.5 year old and a 6 month old...and it was paradise. The unit opens right to the beach/pool area which made it very convenient dealing w the tiny attentino span of our older son. Accomodiations were clean, spacious and perfect for the family. We will definitely be going back.

this condo complex is clean, luxurious and the location is absolutely perfect. we have been coming to cayman for over 20 years and would not stay anywhere else.

The avalon is directly on one of the most beautiful beachs in the world. The staff is friendly and competent. They maintain this property to the highest of standards, therefore their higher pricepoint. But, you pay for what you get. We have already booked for 2012.

We stayed in a beautifully appointed condo. It had everything we needed....beach towels, dishes, washer and dryer, full kitchen and more. We loved sitting in our screened in porch right on the beach having a drink while watching the sun set into the gorgeous ocean. Also, the beach is not crowded. We were able to take walks down the beach in each direction to grab a bite. If your kids want lots of distractions besides the ocean and sand, it may not be the best though.

We have been going to the Alavon for over 10 years. All the units have a great view and its right on the beach> Of course #8 is our favorite but you can not go wrong with any units at the Avalon.
