      Was going well until...

Left on 08/13/2012 for a stay in August 2012

We selected Bayview Wildwood resort for our yearly family vacation for 8 adults and 3 children under 3 years of age. Our vacation started well at the Bayview Cottage. It was clean and the 2 living areas accommodated our party very well. We took advantage of the beach, swimming pools, tennis courts and badminton courts. Everything was going well until...someone decided to start calling our cottage at 9:00am...9:30am...10:00am. Apparently, calling once and leaving a message was beyond the intellectual capabilities of management at the resort. Nothing was wrong...we hadn't called to complain or ask for any assistance. We weren't disturbing any other guests... but the phone kept ringing. Once we answered we were asked to allow access to our family cottage so that they may take measurements of the electric fireplaces in our rooms. For unknown reasons, they were unable to wait till the next day take these measurements during the 4 hours between check in and check out. I guess the resort tape measure was booked...so inconveniencing their guests, paying over $599 per night was more important than investing $30 in a second tape measure to enter the cottage on their own time.
Can't wait to get home so I don't have to listen the trains passing by our cottage every 3hrs

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your stay in our Bayside Cottage.

We are truly sorry that we had to interrupt your stay to measure the two fireplaces. The company that is installing new ones for us this Fall are from quite a distance from the resort and had an opening to see the cottage at that time. The fireplaces are unique and we needed the company to see what would work best in the openings we had. When we were calling you it was because we felt it was best to speak to you in person to explain our request and determine a time that would work for you and not interrupt your holiday.

Our sincere apologies for this inconvenience.

      Best regards,

      Dianne Hounsome

      Had an amazing time !!

Left on 09/12/2011 for a stay in September 2011

My husband and I went for our anniversary this past weekend and we enjoyed ourselves so much, we walked into our favourite cabin and received a happy anniversary basket which was a nice touch, we appreciated that. Food was great and the fishing was amazing.
