      Awesome...awesome...awesome!!!

Left on 07/19/2011 for a stay in July 2011

We took our youth group to Pigeon Forge and needed and affordable place to stay- this cabin is not only that, but also features a tremendous view that most of the other cabins in this area do not. Beautiful cabin at an affordable rate...there was a mother bear with cub that came close to the pool our first day, but was a great attraction that added to the trip.

      Great condo for a group

Only negative was finding our cabin at night! There were two gates of entry with the same code. Map needs to reflect which gate to enter.

      Overpriced

Left on 12/01/2010 for a stay in November 2010

Great location but overpriced. The cabin was beautiful with a nice view. Pool table is on the 3rd floor which makes it virtually impossible to carry on any conversation while someone is playing. Overall, a great location to everything, just a bit pricey for Gatlinburg.

      Very Relaxing

Left on 08/20/2010 for a stay in August 2010

It was very peaceful, enjoyed sitting on the back porch looking at the Smokey's. It was nice that you still felt away from everything but in a since you were farely close, that was nice. The cabin was extermely clean and well kept. The only down side to the cabin was the pool table upstairs, it would have gotten alot more use if it was downstairs. When the kids were playing it just made to much noise for the other guest. Other than that we had a wonderful stay and everyone at Eden's Crest was very helpful.

      Customer Service is terrible

Left on 02/17/2010 for a stay in February 2010

Upon arrival to Eden Crest, we experienced some of the worst customer service. We were unable to drive up to our cabin due to icy roads, and were told "yeah, those cabins are hard to get to, we're sorry." There had been two accidents on the road we were to use, and were given no alternate options other than to buy chains for our tires at our expense.

The only other option we were repeatedly given was to get a hotel room at our expense and then file an insurance claim in hopes of getting our cabin money back. Which, for us, meant getting four rooms for one night on top of our already-paid-for cabin, and the possibility of having to do the same thing for the second night of our stay.

Since we had driven 6 1/2 hours to get there, we were not about to get a hotel room at our own expense and settle for this poor preparation and customer service. After talking to the manager (who rudely talked in circles), the owner and each of the employees, we were finally given an alternate route to the cabin, which worked, but left us wondering why we were not given the route in the first place, therefore avoiding the whole mess (which ended up wasting two hours we could have spent in the cabin enjoying ourselves).

Another thing that stuck out to us was that the manager said "you guys are renting a cabin in the middle of winter," after asking why there had been no salting or plowing of the roads leading to the cabins. When a company is "renting out cabins in the middle of winter," it is their responsibility to make sure those roads are accessible.

If not checking the roads, a phone call warning us of the road conditions or some sort of warning before or during check-in would have been nice. Had there been a sudden snow storm we would understand the lack of preparation, but the snow had started days before.

Once in the cabin (after shuttling each couple in our jeep), we had a nice stay. The cabin is cozy, and we enjoyed the scenery.

Response from Eden Crest Vacation Rentals, Inc - 02/17/2010

      Eden Crest Vacation Rentals, Inc

      Manager

While we regret that we were in the middle of a snow storm in the middle of winter it needs to be understood that we have no control over the clearing of the roads. The county is responsible for that and even if I had the equipment to clear them I could not do it as it is strictly forbidden by the county government. Our customer service is exceptional and we bend over backwards to try and take care of our guests. One of the reasons we offer trip insurance is to safe guard against situations just like this. Having the option to apply for a refund is certainly a good solution to a bad situation. I cannot help that it snowed and I cannot help that the roads were icy however I can help with the protection against the loss of money for alternate accommodations by offering this insurance. If we had not been sold out and had other cabins open we would have gladly moved you to an alternate cabin but that unfortunately was not an option. I apologize for the problem and regret you feel you were not adequately taken care of but there are circumstances over which we have no control and snow is definitely one of them.
