      Great place to Stay!

Left on 09/16/2011 for a stay in September 2011

Stayed over Labor Day weekend for our annual girls trip. Huggy Bear Cinema was perfect. Just the right size for 4 girls. Each had our own king bedroom/private bath. Convenience to shopping and restaurants was outstanding! Would definitely choose Huggy Bear Cinema again!

The people at Eden Crest were very helpful, friendly, and most importantly - accessible. The unit was beautiful, well laid out by having bedrooms on separate floors, which provided added privacy for our extended family. The kids stayed on the lower level and happily woke up each day to watching the Disney channel on the big screen. Loved the Sauna with a view, and the hot tub. Our only minor recommendation would be for added closet space and/or coat racks. Thankfully it was summer, so it wasn't a big deal.
This was a great trip for our three generation family trip!

The cabin was very spacious and we loved the fact that every bedroom had its own private bath. This was one of the reasons for choosing Huggy Bear Cinema. The pots and pans need to be replaced. They are very thin. The sheets also need to be replaced. My only negative is there needs to be more towels in the cabin.

      Vacation Eden Crest cabin

Left on 06/15/2011 for a stay in June 2011

We had a wonderful time in Tennessee. We stayed in the Huggy Bear Cinema of the Eden Crest Rentals. The cabin had a theater room, pool table and hot tub which all were very nice. It was very clean. The equipment used for the surround sound and projector for the theater room was not of the best quality. The view from the deck was partially obstructed by tree branches. The above mentioned negatives are the only issues we had with the cabin. We really enjoyed our stay and would definetly stay again in the future.

Me and my Husband have stayed many times in the past at eden crest resort.I can say we have all always enjoyed our stay. This was the first time for our group and they were just amazed how modern and well maintain the cabins were..I only had few issue during this stay. The first day on arrival the water didnt come on.It was getting late into the night 1000pm and no water. We were told that we may have to move to another cabin, but it may not have the same amenties.I was getting frustrated, but goodness of god! the watern came on.Next day getting back from our ski trip we want to cook on the grill and no gas!! The staff did come address our concerns right away water was fix as soon as they could and they brought a tank right away, so everything turn out find.In the future if cabins are not used for several days it would be nice if someone could check before guest arrival.I cant say enough how wonderful of a time we had enjoying the cabin.

Wow, what an unacceptable welcome you had when you got to your cabin! We know that you have talked to our staff and allowed them to work with you on acceptable compensation. The condition you found that cabin was not to our standard, and resulted in some repercussions for cleaning personnel being terminated. We take our cleaning standards very seriously and it appears that we simply dropped the ball on this one and for that we are very sorry. This is not typical of the standard we hold our cleaners to and the seriousness of this problem resulted in a crew not being allowed to work at Eden Crest any more. We sincerely hope that we can, in the future, show you how much better an Eden Crest cabin can be.

The house was beautiful and very clean. The lower level could have definitely have used more sources of heat. Our family really enjoyed their time there and there was plenty of room and activities for the whole family.

The first night my daughter and her husband (who sleep upstairs) were awaken to a critter in the heat ducts. Scared them to death, slept on the sofa on the main level the rest of the night. The second night another couple slept up there and was also awaken by the same critter. You really need to find it and get it out before it does damage and you lose customers.

The Cabin was just as the pictures showed, we had a great time. We had plenty of everything we needed. We really enjoyed the cinema, we had small children ages 1,2 & 3. We put in or DVD's and they loved it. The only negative about the cabin with the small children was the stairs, They are very slippery. We also took baby gates but would not fit the stairs.

      Huggy Bear Cinema Stay

Left on 02/11/2010 for a stay in January 2010

We really enjoyed our stay in the Huggy Bear Cinema cabin. We thought that the cabin was great and beautiful. We did have a couple of problems, and those were: the grill did not work well and it was really cold downstairs while the rest of the cabin was comfortable, or even a little warm. We also were told that the indoor pool would be open, and it had a sign stating that it was closed for the season. Overall we were pleased and would recommend this to other people, but I do suggest that these problems get fixed. I noticed in the guest book that these have been complaints by other guests also.

Thank you for the feedback. The grill issue has been resolved. I am sorry you had problems with it. As to the downstairs being cold we are aware of this problem and have addressed it with the owner. As of this writing I am waiting on a reply from him to decide how to deal with it. The indoor pool was closed by the developer but we do have a wonderful indoor pool that we are making available to our guests free of charge at the community center in Pigeon Forge. You have access to top of the line work out equipment as well. It is a wonderful facility and the pool is olympic size so lap swimming is great. They keep the temperature of the pool in the high 80's which makes it a nice atmosphere for family time or exercise. Thank you for staying with us and please accept my apologies for any problems you had.

      Very nice accomodations!

Left on 02/11/2010 for a stay in February 2010

The chalet was very nice, clean, and well equiped. All four couples had a great time and enjoyed the stay.

      Repairs:
The electric fireplace in the upstairs did not work. One or more of the remotes did not work... esp. in the cinema room.

      Suggestions:
Provide a minimum of two sets of towels per bath.

With the upstairs room being lower than cabins above it, there was little privacy with no coverings or light filters over the loft windows.

      Unhappy Customer's

Left on 02/04/2010 for a stay in January 2010

We have stayed in the mountains numerous times and this was the worst experience so far. Our cabin had lots of issues. The main reason for picking this cabin was due to the theater room which included the projector. Upon arrival, the projector screen had sound but no picture. We all noticed there was no light coming from the machine and concluded the light was blown. We called the desk and they sent a maintence man which was unable to fix the problem and we were told someone else would need to look at it. We waited until around 9:30 that evening to learn that the future person would not be available until the morning. The next morning we called and it was 2:30 in the afternoon before someone showed up, again with no tools or supplies to fix the issue, only to provide an opinion that the light was blown. The same conclusion we had come to within minutes of arrival. During this time frame we commented and asked to have the Wi-Fi fixed and available. This issue also was looked at but was not able to be fixed. The indoor pool was closed, we were told until Sept. At this point, we had spent much time and frustation trying to get things fixed that should have been available without any issue. Other issues we had included: the sauna only registering "low" and never warming up; the grill not cooking right, we did not discover this until our steaks and chicken was half raw and half burnt, thus not calling for another grill due to the steaks being affected before knowing it was an issue; neither of the fireplaces worked, the heating sytem was not effective - it froze upstairs and downstairs; more towels could have been beneficial for 8 people, and none of the clocks had working batteries. All of these issues combined was very frustating. Even more frustating was the guest book at the cabin that listed ALL of these items as issues within the past month to six months that had not been addressed. The management company did issue one nights refund due to all the issues.

Unfortunately there are situations that occur that are out of our control. Having the WiFii access and the projector bulb burn out at the same time were both out of our control. The WiFii service was simply down and there was nothing we could do to restore it as this service is provided by an outside source. The replacement bulb for the projector is a special order item and has since been replaced
we just could not get it here in time for this reservation. We did have an electronic specialist visit the cabin the next day in an attempt to resolve the issues with both the projector and the WiFii but he was unable to do so. We got him there as soon as we could. The indoor pool was closed by the HOA and again was something we had no control over. However, we do make available free access to the local community center where there is a fabulous indoor heated pool and access to work out equipment. Many of the issues beyond these three were not reported to us which makes it very hard to deal with. We are very good at responding to problems that are within our control and we would have welcomed the opportunity to resolve any other problems if we had known about them. As to the clocks not having batteries we do not put batteries in decorative wall clocks. We have a clock next to every bed on the night table but the wall clocks are not operable. I reviewed the guest book comments and they were concerning the wall clocks not having batteries and the sauna not heating. The sauna takes a minimum of 20 minutes to heat up and many times guests think it does not work when in fact it is just heating up. We have directions posted in the sauna to help with this issue but the sauna in this cabin works just like it should. I have refunded a night’s stay and also your hot tub fee. Basically you stayed 3 nights and only paid for one. I totally understand your frustration as I have the same level of frustration not being able to resolve a problem when it is out of my control. We sincerely tried to make this stay a good one for you and when there were things we could not fix we refunded and apologized. I honestly do not know what else I can do other than to say again I am sorry and hope you will give us another try as this is NOT representative of our cabins.
