      Georgeous Cabin. Great View.

      This was our first stay at Rocky Top Retreat, second in a Dollywood Vacation Cabin. Goodness we didn't want to leave. The cabin was very clean and had a welcome home feel to it. The beds are so very comfortable too! Waking up the beautiful sun rise and view of the mountains in the loft area was breath taking. (see pictures) We loved having the pool table and air hockey table. We haven't laughed and had so much fun in a long time. The kitchen had everything we needed to make food and beverages in the cabin so we didn't have to leave much (which was our goal for vacation). I could not say more great things about the staff and security either. We had a late arrival, so everything was waiting for us in the night box. The first night when we arrived, I had to call security because our lock batteries died and we couldn't get in. He even spread some salt to melt the little bit of snow on the steps. He even chatted with us for a bit before he left. These are the reasons why we continue to come back to Dollywood cabins. We are never disappointed.

      Great Trip, gorgeous cabin, clean and well stocked

      We traveled with another family and stayed here last week. The cabin was perfect for two families, each couple had their own area (bedroom suite) and the kids loved the bunk beds and game room upstairs! The cabin was spacious and clean. Kitchen was small but well stocked. Only complaint was the air hockey table didn't score properly and the burners on the stove needed to be replaced (still functioned). Other than that, we had a great stay. Property is not secluded, but we didn't feel crowded at all. Takes about 10 minutes at the most to get to Pigeon Forge's main strip, so it's pretty close but still has beautiful mountain views from the top deck. Other two decks are more of a wooded/semi mountain view. We would definately stay here again! Eden Crest was great. Thanks so much!!

      Great Family Vacation

      This was our second stay with Eden Crest rental, and both times we were very happy with our cabin rentals. Our children had plenty to do with all of the game tables,and we were able to relax on our decks that overlook the mountains. Very private and you don't feel like you are surrounded by others by the way they are set up. We definitely will return in years to come!

      Beautiful cabin and view with little thought to amenities

      While the "big" stuff was wonderful, the "little" stuff was poorly thought out and planned for this particular cabin. Unfortunately, the little stuff really does make an impact on your vacation. Only 2 trash bags were put in the kitchen with a capacity of 14 guests for 4 days. 2 dishwasher packets for 4 days. We'd fill up the dishwasher after 1 meal. The dish soap was of such poor quality it didn't even suds up. Who wants to wash dishes on vacation? The kithen table was not big enough to hold enough guests in addition to no thought to alternative counter seating. There is little room to store food. Gas grills would be wonderful in place of charcoal. When I checked in, the emphasis was placed on the guest to do a "quality" check on the cabin and to report all broken, missing items with the receptionist actually stating "we realize that there will be wear and tear on the cabin and things become broken and missing." I've never heard of such a thing. Where I've been, the quality check is done by the housekeeping staff or manager and items are fixed/replaced before the next guest arrives. We arrived with the shower door hanging by one hinge, nearly falling on top of my 6 year old. That whole concept really bothered me from the start. Also, the fact that the guest is expected to call the housekeeper once we depart is completely inappropriate. I think the management company of this cabin did a poor job and needs to rethink their definition and delivery of customer service. When I called beforehand to request a highchair or crib,I was told they were all checked out and there was no way of knowing if there would be one available and of course, a fee was attached to checking them out. Another ridiculous fee. The check in process was about the fees, warnings, liabilities, counting the precicus Wii gaming parts, and money than welcoming some very tired travelers. However, she managed to ask us to write her name so she could get a tip. A tip for what?inappropriate

      While we provide starter packs we do not provide supplies for every day of your stay. However if you had called our office we would have gladly delivered more supplies to you. If you will refer to your policy agreement it states that only starter packs are provided. Our staff does do a quality check but we simply ask that if you find anything broken or missing that you make us aware of it so we can make it right during your stay. We did not expect you to make a big production out of this but in the course of your stay to let us know if there was anything you needed addressed so we could respond in a timely manner. It sounds like you took offense at what we meant to be a good experience for you. We work very hard to make sure all of our guests are treated with respect and kindness and I apologize if your experience did not provide you with what you needed. I promise we are really good people with good hearts ready to serve where ever we can. Give us another try and see just how wonderful your stay with us can be.

      The house was very big and comfortable. The refrigerator was right inside the front door, which made it very difficult. The information in the book at the house was different than what was given. The upstairs game room was not properly cleaned. We were disappointed when we arrived since we didn't expect to be right next to other cabins. We had hoped for a little distance/privacy.

      Yearly family vacation in Pigeon Forge

      We loved the view. We were disappointed in that the swimming pool as shown online was not at the premises. With a special needs child, it was impossible to go there. Also, internet never worked. Since two people needed to be contacted by their employers, this was a big problem. It was reported, the man came and calls were made every day but it was never fixed. The only phone jack that worked was in the downstairs bedroom and there was only one land phone. Not having a closure at the kitchen and the downstair presented a problem with our special needs child. We're still out on whether the cons or pro (great view)out weigh the other. Even though we were not happy with lot of things, we enjoyed our vacation in the mountains.

      A blue tooth was left on the counter wrapped around lip gloss and it disappeared while we were away from the cabin.

      Yes this cabin has a wonderful view and I am glad you were able to enjoy it. The internet provider was down during your stay and we simply have no control over this as we are not the provider. We called them at least twice a day asking them to please respond to your need for internet and they eventually fixed the problem but not without a lot of frustration on your part and ours as well. We would have encouraged you to visit the local Starbucks or the many other sources avaiable in the area that provide free internet connection if you needed to contact your employer. You really missed a great swimming pool at the Community Center. It is so much nicer than the one at the resort and has picnic areas, a water slide and walking trails. It is actually only a very short drive which the pool at the resort is also a short drive to access as well. Maybe next time you will be able to fit a visit to the pool into your schedule. Thank you for staying with us and we look forward to seeing you again real soon.

      We loved this cabin. The amenities were many. Hot tubs, game room, beautiful view and all very clean. Couldn't check in on time but they gave that time back to us at check out. Overall great experience!

      Wonderful wedding experience at angel Crest

      Over all stay was very good. The advertised Wifi did not allow connection to internet. I called for assistance twice and was told that it was the owners problem. I feel that Eden Crest should check the internet connection prior to check in.
      Another part of our family was locked out of their cabin by a maintainance worker changing the door code. That was totally unacceptable.

We can only call and report the problem and then we have to wait for the provider to fix it just like you do at home when something does not work.       Outstanding Getaway

      Rocky Top Retreat is a unique cabin in the Smokey Mountains. I have stayed in a few cabins, but this cabin is the leader for the nicest interior and with the most amenities. My family and I loved our stay at Rocky Top Retreat...everybody had their own bedroom. We had great challenge games on the Wii and with the billiards. We enjoyed the walk around the community, but if there is snow on the ground and ice on the street then forget it (unless you have chains on your 4 wheel drive vehicle). The drive is straight up, but once your there you will not want to leave. Beautiful and we will be back!

      The cabin was better than anticipated. I'd heard of people renting nice cabins and then getting there and the cabin being nothing like the pictures and way worse. That was the exact opposite of our trip. The cabins was as amazing as it looked in the pictures and honestly better than we expected. We will definitely be back next year.
