Adrian, MichiganWhat a beautiful, tranquil place!
Left on 04/19/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We took a 'last minute' vacation and were fortunate enough to find a cabin available at Little Valley Mountain Resort. Our stay was restful, the cabin was beautiful, - it was just what we needed. The folks at Little Valley were very accommodating. We definitely plan to return.

VirginiaMemorable, but not in the best way!
Left on 04/04/2013 for a stay in July 2012
This cabin was adorable and very cute! The only complaint I have is that I didn't feel like it was very clean. Cleanliness is top priority when I stay somewhere and I didn't feel as if it was very clean (mainly shower & bathtub. I read reviews before booking that said there were scorpions, but I've been to the area and live within a few hours and didn't believe we had them in this area. This area of Tennesee does and we caught one climbing up the sink in our bathroom!! I was mortified and was so scared during our whole stay that they would climb up in the bed with us! Having a grill was nice and on the last night we cooked out. The grill looked like it hadn't been clean in a while which was kind of upsetting but something we could overlook. This was the site for our honeymoon so I will never forget this cabin, however I do not believe I will ever return. It put such a damper on our honeymoon because I was so worried about the scorpions and trying to keep our bags in high places and zipped up, that I couldn't relax and enjoy our time. If that is something you could overlook along with the clean fresh feeling than this cabin would be good for you, otherwise I wouldn't choose this one but maybe another in the resort.

Jacksonville, FloridaRelaxing and Romantic with awesome View
Left on 11/29/2012 for a stay in November 2012
Location and view are awesome. This cabin is perfect for two people wanting to be romantic. Jacuzzi on the outside deck which is really nice to be in; however, wish rail was lower so you could look at view while in Jacuzzi. Heart shaped tub upstairs but did not use cause had mold around jets. No washer and dryer. Also, bedroom is upstairs and only bathroom is downstairs. Not user friendly if you are one to get up in the middle of the night for the restroom. Cabin has all the comforts of home and organized but not really cleaned good as far as dusting (layers of dust on outlets and boards in bathroom and in shower when you look up). Mirror in bathroom could be bigger so two people could use at same time. Also, wish hook was on wall so you could hang travel toiletry bag in bathroom. Besides these little picky things, everything else was comfortable. I will definitely stay at Little Valley again, just not this cabin, because of the bathroom and bedroom on different levels. Staff is really friendly. Check in and out is really easy.

Creeped out!
VirginiaNot what I was Expecting!
Left on 07/30/2012 for a stay in July 2012
I read reviews on this place before we went because I like to "shop around" before making a purchase! My husband and I spent our honeymoon here after being married!! We Thought the place was wonderful, at first! The hot tub was great and everything seemed to be, fairly clean. I am a germ/clean freak and the shower seemed nasty so we never used it, we took a bath upstairs everynight, after I cleaned it out!! It does take a while to fill and there is only enough hot water for one bath so a shower and a bath is out of the question. The downstairs scared me because we found two Scorpians!! Yes I only live 2 hours away in Va and didn't think the reviews were correct because we don't have scorpians here but apparently they do there! They were crawling up our sink drain and in the living room! This terrified me and I didn't sleep a wink they first night and we constantly had to watch our step the remainder of our stay! Everything else worked fine during our stay, the creepy crawlers of the night is what ruined it for me! So if you plan on staying here I hope you don't mind the thought of staying with things that can get you!! Don't know if I would ever go back, if I did I may try a newer cabin! Looking into the situation with people in the area, people who are familar with those insects say if the area was sprayed recently and properly that wouldn't have been a problem!

The staff were kind and had all the info we needed. The home was neat, clean, and stocked as advertised. The road is very handy and the directions were fine. We have stayed twice and enjoyed both times. We love the location and views. We would definitely come again.

St. Petersburg, FlHot tub heaven
Left on 10/13/2011 for a stay in September 2011
We loved the little cabin. It was cozy, quiet, and had a great hot tub which we used every night. It would have been improved by having a dishwasher, 2 comfy chairs for the living room (a rocker and small leather couch but we like to sprawl out), and the mattress on the bed was terrible- it sunk in the middle. The rest of the place was so peaceful and charming that we overlooked these things, but to be honest, they should be improved. Also the jacuzzi tub for 2 was kind of a loss. It looks charming and romantic but it takes a long time to fill and it takes more hot water than is in the tank, so it was lukewarm- not romantic. We tried it once and then used it as a big bedside table. The view was trees- no mountains- but if you're there for cozy privacy- it was perfect. If you want mountain views, the cabin right next door to us was in the perfect spot, so just make sure you call and personally talk to the staff about what you want and you will get it. They were wonderful!!

This cabin is a nice cabin but the maintenance and resort itself are not so good. I had to go thru and knock all of the wasp nests down before getting into the hot tub. The grill is in very bad shape and didn't know if we could use it, we didn't because when I opened it, I was stung by a wasp. The enternet didn't work...I asked them about it twice before anything happened and then they gave me at&T;'s number so I could trouble shoot with them. At&t; said that they couldn't do anything with me because I am not the account owner. I had to schedule time on my vaca to be at the cabin for the repair man. I woke up on the 1st day to see a snake crawling across the floor. No biggy, I gave him the boot but then my wife found another in the (inside) window sun bathing. I threw him out and then went down and told them at the office. They gave me a bag of moth balls and told me to walk around the place and toss them out. We rented the xbox, didn't work...took it back, they give me another where the controllers didn't work. I didn't even check until night and the office closes at 8 so we never used the xbox more than one day. The putt putt course, it very plain but still would have been nice if I could have got the nats off of me longer enough to play a game. Golf course, come on, there is no way that they should have been listing this place has a golf course. Looks like they laid some outdoor carpent in a couple of spots and stuck a flag in it (no fairway). They said that they have loaner clubs, so I planned on using theirs for my family. They had 3 clubs...enough for 1 person...forget it. I road over past the course and that's when I saw this golf course. I spent over $800 to stay at this place. I was running snakes out, making appointments and waiting on internet repairman, I was stung, putting out moth balls, which by the way spilled in my car and couldn't get the smell out for days. I was not offered a discount for my troubles. I do not recommend this resort at all.

This was the second visit for my wife and I, also our 5 year anniversary. We love having such beautiful, comfy cabin to come back to after hiking the parks. This year the hot tub was especially welcome after making it to the top of mount Le Conte! We will be back soon!

Dalton, GAOk but Disappointed in some things
Left on 09/28/2010 for a stay in September 2010
It was our 49th wedding anniversary. The fishing opportunity really interested me, but that was very disappointing, because I didn't catch anything...got one possible, but it fell off the hook. Then the hot tub looked a little raunchy, we decided not to get in. The barbeque grill left a lot to be desired. Worn out, lopsided, and rusty. Then a hugh spider scared me to death in the kitchen. It is a lovely cabin, with a very romantic decor, but I would not want to stay there again.

Our family had a wonderful time during our stay. We did encounter a couple of scorpians in our cabin but that just added to the rustic charm of being out in the wild. My children enjoyed the swimming pool and my wife and I enjoyed the nature. Great time was had by all.

the cabin was nice but we were given a room with a broken hot tub that didnt work and leaked water which was dirty. I told them about the hot tub when we checked out they already knew about it and didnt give us another room with one avaible or didn't offer to give us a price break on the room. We payed for a hot tub but wasen't able to use it but we paid for it.

This place is great! I wanted a get away after the Christmas rush and this is just what I needed. Our anniversary was Dec.22 so this was an overdue vacation place for my husband and I. He loved the hot tub in 20 degree temps. The cabin was great for 2 people, just cozy and warm.

Left on 07/28/2009 for a stay in May 2009
Nestled in the beautiful smokey mountains, this cabin was extremely clean, spacious and welcoming. It was very quiet and peaceful, waking to the sounds of nature and taking in the fresh mountain air. It was very comfortable, with a flat screen HDTV downstairs and large TV upstairs in the loft. Being as it was late spring, the Air Conditioning was great keeping everything cool and crisp. The ONLY downside of the stay was that it was advertised as having high speed internet but there wasn't any available. No biggie, I came to get away not stay tethered to information overload. The perfect getaway!
