Service wasn't anything special. the home is beautiful an the location is perfect. the best thing about the cabin is those nice rocking chairs on the porch. It rained the whole time we were there so,we soon learned the sofa is woreout and the bed is hard as concrete. no place to really relax except the hot tub an you can't stay in there for very long. I also forgot my bath robe and haven't heard a word about it!

Plymouth, INWe love this resort.
Left on 11/09/2012 for a stay in October 2012
This was our second stay at the resort. We came back here to celebrate our first anniversary. We were married in the beautiful little chapel on the hill at the resort last year and stayed in this same cabin. We love this place and the resort employees are really wonderful.
The bad: #1. There is a hole in the bedroom window where we were told a rock was spun up from a workers vehical and went through. It was the same story and looked like the same hole as last year when we stayed so it was either never fixed or had happened again. #2. There are no screens on the bedroom windows and they could not be opened to enjoy the fresh mountian air on the beautiful cool nights we were there. #3. The wireless WiFi that was here last year so that we could connect comfortably to anywhere in the cabin had been replaced by a high speed connection that used an ethernet cable that we had to tether to our laptop. It would not work at first but a very nice worker was sent up to reboot everything and then it worked fine. The only problem at that point was that the ethernet cable was very short and we had to put the laptop on a folding chain in front of the fireplace and sit within a couple of feet of the TV if we wanted to get on line. That was not good or comfortable and we had saved several things on the computer that we wanted to find and see while we were there. #4. On our first night there was no television reception in the bedroom and we wanted to lay back and watch a big football game that was on. This too was repaired the next morning without a hitch. #5.There were numerous black debris and leaves floating around in the hot tub. We stayed out of it.
The good: The cabin was very clean and it has everthing you would want in it. The setting and the grounds are beautiful, and as I have mentioned previously the staff is wonderful. It is a very special cabin to us as we honeymooned here and fell in love with it immediately. We will be back and will stay in this cabin for sure. -

Summerville, SCComfortable little cabin- private with beautiful views.
Left on 11/05/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We stayed for 4 nights at Mountain Romance. It is a lovely little cabin-not luxury, but homey. The location is wonderful with a windy, uphill drive, but not scary like some places. There was adequate space for our car to park and turn around. It has a gorgeous view from the 3 porches. The entrance way to the cabin is flat, very accessible for those with "stair" issues. If you are looking for a private cabin, this is it. You can see the roofs of other cabins, but that's it. The cabin was very clean, but not ready at 3 pm. We had to wait about 45 mins to enter. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and the large, jacuzzi tub in the loft bathroom. The loft also has a pool table and a futon. There is nice stereo upstairs as well. On the main level is the one bedroom. The bed was a little hard, which worried me at first, but I woke with no aches or pains. We had a little masked visitor on the porch, who gobbled up some marshmallows. I was hoping to see wildlife, so the raccoon was fun to see. We also had a tiny scorpion show up in the bathroom sink, but we took care of him quickly. I had no idea there are scorpions in the Smokies! There is a charcoal grill that we used to cook up some steaks we picked up at a nearby Kroger's. The kitchen is small, very well stocked with kitchen necessities- quite adequate for a short stay. We would definitely stay there again.

Nice cabin, clean, well stocked, private. Secluded in the woods. Had a "visitor" in the form of a mouse, but staff was quick to act and he was disposed of. As deep in the woods as this cabin is I would imagine they are very had to control. Other than that, the cabin was wonderful. Everything was clean. Dishes/cookware was ample. Cable TV, Wi-Fi...fishing ponds, pool. Friendly staff. Property matches photos on website.

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend. We were celebrating our 18th anniversary. We cooked out on the grill every evening and just enjoyed reconnecting with each other. With our busy schedules at home it was nice just to sit around and relax. We spent most of our time at the cabin only went in to town a couple times. I hope that we will come visit again soon.

Cabin was great, good location, supplies as expected, view good.
The living room furniture was uncomfortable and since the weather was not good, staying inside was our only option. We were looking for relaxing get away and spent our time in the cabin not at the area attractions.
We have been to Little Valley Mt. Resort before and will do so in the future, but not in this cabin. -

Left on 04/11/2011 for a stay in April 2011
My wife and I stayed at Mountain Romance with Little Valley Mountain Resort. From the website and previous reviews, I was really hoping that it would be all that I was expecting as this was our 10 year anniversary. Not only was it everything I expected, it was a whole lot more!
After staying at this cabin, I could never even think of staying at an area hotel ever again. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are both a short drive. Using GPS and the back roads, you can easily access the Smoky Mountains and Cades Cove. From this route, you will bypass the main strips as well!
The cabin itself has some great views of the mountains from anywhere on the 3 sided porch. A short drive down the road is a very nice store (Whaleys) to get everything you need to cook for your stay as well. The kitchen already has everything you need.
We really had a hard time leaving each time we went out to enjoy the sights around the area. The wife honestly asked if we could extend our vacation for another week to spend some more time here. We have stayed at some very nice resorts throughout the country and this was the best experience by far.
We were so impressed by the cabin, resort, and staff that we are seriously considering purchasing a cabin in this resort as an investment. With an experience like this, I don't see how we could go wrong :) -

This was a beautiful cabin, the ride to the cabin at night was a little scary but after a day or so we got used to it. The fireplace in the bedroom was a plus, very romantic, loved the wrap around porch. We were a little disppointed, we didnt see much wildlife except for a pesky racoon who actually figured out how to get the locked down lid off the trashcan twice! Will stay again.

I traveled with my Yorkie for a 61st birthday week vacation to go to Dollywood, however I got more than I bargained for. Renting the cabin was a last minute decision that turned out to be the best accommodations and vacation that I have ever had in my life. The cabin and scenery was so beautiful as well as the comfort was amazing and privacy was quiet and fantastic (so much better than a hotel room). The only thing is that I wish it wasn't so much more expensive even though I thought it was worth it. The one thing that I did not like was the scary narrow road (at night) going up to the cabin cause it is so dark and hard to drive (daytime is fine). I loved the cabin so much that I did not want to leave and neither did my yorkie (she cried when I was packing to leave). I think we would have stayed longer if the cabin wasn't booked after my week. I would love to go there again but I know it will be just as hard to leave there again. The people there at Little Valley Mountain Resort are wonderful and friendly and truley make you feel so welcome. I've been telling everyone how great it was and maybe I'll have friends next year or so to return there with. Oh, by the way, it is located very close to everything you could need for entertainment in Severville,Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, etc.

Nashville, TNNice Cabin...Great area
Left on 12/01/2010 for a stay in November 2010
We really enjoyed our stay in Mountain Romance. Since we went over Thanksgiving, the surrounding areas were packed and getting to the National Park was horrendous (traffic). The resort is in the mountains and you can hike around the area, which was a nice substitute for the NP. The one negative I would say is that, if you're going to have several people stay in the cabin, you may want to bring something to cushion the couch bed - it's not very comfortable, but the futon is! It's really great that they allow pets (without a size restriction) b/c we were able to bring our two dogs, so the family was all together!

The cabin was very clean and decorate nice. It had everything we needed for our stay. I really liked the location, it felt like there wasn't anyone else around for the most part. The hot tub was nice and made it easy to relax of an evening. The resort it self the people are very friendly and they have quite a bit for a family to do right there. Even though it is away from the main part of attraction for that area it's not that far or bad of a drive.
The only bad thing I can say about my stay there is I think they should have blinds on the glass doors and more of the windows. Everything else was great and we will be back. -

We had a great stay at Mountain Romance. The cabin was wonderful and clean! We would highly recommend Little Valley Mountain Resort and will surely come again. We had a family of racoons visit us each night but no bears. The cabin was great with the hot tub and pool table, very warm and inviting. The staff was wonderful and we got to check in early which was great traveling with our dog Dixie. The reason we chose Little Valley to begin with was that it was pet friendly. Good job guys and keep up the good work!!

After previously booking a cabin online for a family vacation and greatly disappointed when we arrived, my family was apprehensive about the stay in Mountain Romance. Pulling up to the property, our apprehension turned to excitement. Neat, clean and beautiful describe Little Mountain Valley Resort. All of the activities available on the property allowed us to truly take a day and rest at the cabin while still keeping our ten-year-old active and not "bored".
Mountain Romance pleasantly surprised us. The cabin is beautiful and comfortable with plenty of room, both inside and outside. The wrap-around porch offered us beautiful views of the valley, the sunsets and the sunrises. Another pleasant surprise was the guest book that allowed us a glimpse into the getaways other families enjoyed in the same cabin.
A couple of things that would be nice additions/upgrades to the cabin include a ceiling fan in the master bedroom. It was stuffy at night and cooled down early the next morning with the air conditioner running around 70 degrees. Also, the mattress and the pillows in the master bedroom need replacing as there is not much left of any of them. -

This cabin was the ideal place for two lovers celebrating 10 years as husband and wife! We love that the cabin is pet friendly and even though we did not wish to bring our (3rd child or FUR CHILD along) since we were leaving the other kids at home as well....it was nice to know that we had that option if we wanted to! The fireplace in the livingroom and bedroom really made it the most wonderful "winter feeling" in the cabin and sitting in the jacuzzi watching the snow fall down was amazing! I highly recommend this cabin to any couple wanting a romantic get away from the hustle and bustle of the real world. Kick back, relax with your loved one, knowing that no one can bother you way up there!

This is not our first stay with Little Valley and will not be the last. I?m very particular about where we stay and did lots of research before ever deciding on Little Valley. The staff is the best.
The cabins are just as you see in the pictures; they are exceptionally clean and well maintained. The only thing you need to bring is food and a desire to relax and have a great time. I even learned to play pool.
The peace and quite was just what we needed, and the visit from the raccoons at night was just an added treat. We will be back at Little Valley in May.

The cabin was superb and the surrounding area offerred lots of things to do. the only thing I would recommend is that you have someone check the chemical levels in the hot tub, or leave chemicals for the guests to administer. We were there a week and the chemical levels dropped way below what they should have been, which resulted in a severe rash for both of us.

We absolutely loved this cabin. It was very well decorated, comfortable, and the view was spectacular. We especially liked the privacy of the homes, as none of them are extremely close to one another. It was a great place to get away and enjoy the mountains. We also liked that while it was private, it was only minutes away from the Pigeon Forge area. Our only complaint about the cabin was that the living room sofa was less than comfortable. It looks great, but is very uncomfortable for sitting. Overall, our experience was exceptional.
