Louisville, kyAlmost perfect
Left on 04/11/2013 for a stay in April 2013
What we loved: the cabin was nice and clean, the beds were very comfortable and big, the hot tub, the view, the quiet, the location, the staff.
What could have been better:
There wasn't hardly any water pressure, but we were fine and didn't report it...they probably could have replaced a filter to help this.
The pond didn't have any fish...we literally didn't even have one bite. But it was a nice day to put the line in the water so oh well :).
We will definitely stay here again next time. -

The cabin was nice, but smaller than expected. The foosball table shown was outside on patio & looked to be broke. This cabins entrance appears flat in the pics but is steep. We got snow 2 days of our visit so we were unable to enjoy any of the resorts outdoor activities. We enjoyed our stay & staff was very friendly, but we prefer a more roomy cabin w/indoor activities available. We loved our white Christmas.

Cabin was nice. The water was awful. Couldnt even shower by day two because of the sulfur odor.

We do hope you will revisit us at Little Valley. The filters are always changed routinely every month, but at times they need it yet another time. Our maintenance is more than happy to get to any cabin that needs any additional work, to insure a pleasant stay.

FloridaMost relaxing trip ever
Left on 10/07/2011 for a stay in September 2011
This was the most relaxing vacation we've ever been on. The cabin is located just 5 minutes from the strip in Sevierville, and maybe another 10 into the mountains. There is a Kroger down the street to stock up. We had never been to the Smokies before, and didn't know what to expect, but we had a fantastic time. You are far enough away from the town to be quiet and relaxing, and close enough to do anything you could think of. I was nervous about the cabin being like the pictures, but it is just as you see. Although I thought there was a pool table in 1 of the pics, its actually a small fuzball table, with a detachable top. The hot tub was fantastic, we used it everyday. The cabin was clean, except for the wood roaches, there are a few...gross. Made me not want to eat there...so we ate out alot. My husbands only complaint was that the water pressured was horrible in the showers, and the water smelled funny. We will probably be back, because I fell in love with the towm & atmosphere. So many things to do, & I do recommend water rafting, and we did have a day to just sit & enjoy the cabin. Overall, we had a great time!

Castlewood, VaWe enjoyed our trip!!!
Left on 08/25/2011 for a stay in July 2011
We loved the place. The staff was so friendly and helpful. It was our first trip to Little Valley Mountain Resort but will "not" be our last. The fishing ponds were very nice and were stocked with decent number of fish. My husband and children caught several. Our cabin was nice and clean. We had to leave early due to a family emergency and they were very understanding of our situation. Would recomend this place to anyone. Very pleasant.

VirginiaOur stay at On Waters Edge at Little Valley Mountain Resort.
Left on 07/07/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We found our cabin(On Waters Edge) to be more than accomadating. The cabin was very clean and the decor beautiful. The two spacious King bedrooms were very comfortable and more than enough for our family of 4. There were pleanty of books, and games available for our children. The kitchen was fully stocked and the out door grill was perfect for steaks we baught at the nearby Kroger. We had lots of fun in the swimming pool and wish we had more time to go fishing in the ponds. Out kids also realy loved the put put golf. Our only regret is that we had our trip planned out that we didn't get spend enough time at the cabin! Next year we will make it a point to stay here again, and will plan more day's taking advantage of Little Valley Mountain Resorts available activities.

Chareston, WVVery Cozy, Great Staff
Left on 03/31/2011 for a stay in January 2011
Our cabin was great. We actually got upgraded because there was a bad snow storm that would not allow us to get to the original cabin that we rented. The staff was more than welcome to accommodate us in every way. We arrived late at night and had no problem with getting to our cabin and our stay was peaceful. The cabin was in great condition and we had a really nice stay.

Directions and sign up were very good. The cabin was beautiful and clean and had all the amenities we wanted. When we saw all the people in Pigeon Forge, we were glad that we stayed a little farther out ! The only thing that was a little off-putting was the sulphur water smell and taste!

Independence, KYNice Cabin
Left on 11/09/2010 for a stay in October 2010
My wife and I, in our mid 50's, stayed here 4 nights in October, 2010. The first 2 nights we were joined by our son and his wife, in their mid 20's. We found the cabin to be clean and well equipped but a little small for what we were expecting. It's fine for 4 people but I woundn't recommend it for any more than that. It's a steep walk down to the ponds but doable. Very close to the largest pond and two other small ones. We caught catfish and one bass and saw lots of bluegill. Something really big jumped out of the water in the corner of the large pond. Not sure if it was a catfish or bass. We didn't use the hot tub. We have one at home. We also didn't use the putt putt or golf courses, or the pool, which was open and looked good. This cabin has a wooded view and is private but not too isolated. Nice parking for two or possibly three cars. The resort is located close to grocery stores, gas stations, shopping, restaurants and shows. A big plus. Would we return? Probably not. When all the resort fees were added to the costs, we were paying over $200/night and not sharing the cost with anyone. And we generally do something different each time we visit the Smokies. All in all, it's a nice cabin and the resort is also nice. Check-in was a snap and very fast. A little pricey for one couple.

Algonquin, ILnice vacation, nice cabin in the woods
Left on 09/28/2010 for a stay in August 2010
We enjoyed our stay. On Water's Edge was a very nice 2 BR cabin. Ac worked great (important in august). Nice hottub, nice deck, would stay there again (cannot speak to other cabins - they vary as independently owned at this resort). View of a pond from the deck, but otherwise view was mostly trees. Some cabins have much better views, but are a lot further up the mountain and if you do an excursion every day like us, will spend more time on the roads. Liked this location near the pool, too. Pretty easy in/out to drive to pigeon forge, gatlinburg, national park.
Didn't spend a lot of time on the grounds themselves. Fishing ponds were not the greatest - 1 decent size pond and 2 tiny. Caught a couple bluegill. Pool was OK - refreshing, but just your basic pool.
Loved Smokey Mountain National Park - there is an area they close 1 or 2 mornings a week and you can bike it - that was a highlight. Lots of places you can pull off and wade in clear mountain streams. Lots of touristy stuff to do if you want go-carts/shows/etc. We did more hiking and biking and outdoors, but some tourist stuff. -

Madison Heights, MIThe best vacation stay we have ever had!
Left on 08/19/2010 for a stay in July 2010
The cabin was extremely clean and comfortable. The decor was beautiful. The cabins are far enough from the others that you feel like you're the only one there. Everyone at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. I have already recommended you to a friend and they are staying there this weekend! We will definitely be back, and hopefully this time, my hubby and I can come alone and have a romantic retreat.

Had a good time but cabin was too small, had cobwebs in the corners of all the rooms and we couldn't get the place to cool down. The upstairs bedroom was so hot it was miserable. Expected better for the price

We had a really nice stay at the Little Valley Mountain Resort. We took our two dogs with us and especially for them it was really nice. We could take them for a walk in the Valley. We didn´t need to drive somewhere. The location is perfect for dogs. A lot of hayfields and little lakes everywhere. The staff was very kind and helpful with all the questions and needs we had. The cabine was nice too. It was not as clean as I expected it, but all together it was fine. I really liked the starter kit with coffee, soap, paper towels, dishwasher etc. If you for example gonna arrive late on a Sunday you are not in need to get all this. Everything is very organized there. All together we really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely come back.

Dayton, OHRelaxing Vacation
Left on 07/28/2009 for a stay in April 2009
We spent a week in early spring at this cabin and had a wonderful time! The dogwood trees were all in bloom in the backyard, so we had a beautiful view from the back porch! We took our dogs with us and they also had fun walking around and enjoying nature. The house was very clean, and well equipped. Our son and daughter-in-law stayed part of the week with us and there was plenty of room for all of us. We had fun in the hot tub and enjoyed nights on the back deck. It was nice to be up in the mountains, yet close to all the sites. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who wants to just relax and enjoy the quiet and peace of the mountains.

This was the most quite and private locations we have stayed in and we come to this area once a year. We enjoyed the family actives available at this resort. I have back problems and always dread sleeping away from home because some beds are not comfortable, but I didn't have any problems at this cabin other than I could have used a step stool because the bed was so high from the floor.
We have already mentioned the resort to family and friends. We will definitely consider staying at this cabin again when we plan our next trip to the area.

Beautiful, comfortable, impeccably furnished and all the comforts of home in a gorgeous setting! Great experience! The office people were the friendliest and most helpful folks I have ever encountered any where I have stayed. I would recommend this property to anyone.
The one and only drawback is no cell phone service, but that is beyond anyone's control. -

We had a fantastic time while staying here for a week. Cabin was very clean and well decorated. We would highly recommend Little Valley Mountain Resort to all our friends! We fished every day and did very well. Caught a couple huge catfish, several average catfish and several bluegill! We will return next trip. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We spend our vacation in this area every year and this was the best one yet!

We had a great stay at the Little Valley Mountain resort. Our cabin was close to all the ammenities, which were great. Putt-Putt, Pitch-n-putt, and hiking. The kids loved the hot tub, and the pool table/fooseball table. Only one problem, our cabin wasn't ready when we got there, bed unmade in one room; but they did quickly fix it, and came right away to put fresh sheets on, and give us new towels

Left on 11/06/2008 for a stay in October 2008
Cabin was nice but the oversize was smaller than I expected. Very clean and had great access to small ponds with a lot of fish to view from the dock. Not the greatest parking area but considering that it was in the mountains I guess it was OK. Overall a good stay.
