VERY PRIVATE WITH GREAT VIEWS .2 bedroom-2 bathroom cabin with lots of attention to details. In addition to the log burning fireplace in the den, both of Shady Lady's bedrooms are graced with stacked stone fireplaces. What could be more romantic than that?! They can also add a touch of warmth to those chilly mountain mornings or nights. For entertainment you can choose to play pool OR air hockey on the specially designed "flippable " game table. A deep porch wraps around half of the cabin, with a hot tub on the back side of the porch. The view from this cabin can be described in one word: INCREDIBLE. For extra fun, count the lady bugs hidden... within the charming decor. This cabin is great for romance. This cabin is great for families. This cabin is great for you!!!

We were visiting Tennessee on Spring Break from Florida. Our daughter had traveled to Tennessee with her church choir and loved it and wanted to go back as a family. I had always wanted to staph in a cabin in the mountains. Shady Lady far exceeded our expectations. It was absolutely emaculate and the view was spectacular. We would not hesitate in the future to stay there again. We made wonderful memories thanks to the family that shared their home with us.

The employees I dealt with were very friendly. This was the most hassle free reservation I've made. I really appreciate your late check in box because as we all know, anything can happen when traveling. The late check in box took a lot of pressure off of us while traveling. I felt like we could relax while on the road and enjoy the drive. The resort is absolutely beautiful. The Shady Lady was very clean, beautifully decorated and just a lovely cabin. We have stayed in many cabins within the area and this cabin and resort is definitely our favorite. Very private yet just a three minute drive to everything. I would absolutely refer this resort and cabin to anyone. Can't wait to come back! Thank you to the owner for opening up their "home away from home" to us and many others.

My husband and I have been going to Little Valley Mountain Resort each December for years and have always been impressed with the cabins! This past December we were with our special friends, Robert and Stephanie Smith from the TN area and once again the cabin was a delight! We stayed in Shady Lady again this trip and really enjoyed a relaxing stay in the beautiful cabin in the TN mountains. Lvmr is the perfect location, you enjoy the peaceful mountains and views but are minutes to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg for all the hustle and bustle shopping and fine dining! Lvmr has a cabin that is perfect for all of your needs!

The only problem we saw was the housekeeping. The microwave was not cleaned. It had what looked like a sauce sprayed all inside. The toilet was not flushed after use even though the toilet cover was across the stool indicating it had been clean. There was paper and human waste in the toilet. It was disgusting.
The housekeeping supervisor should be advised of this. We did however enjoy the stay after we got past these issues

For our family of 4 my youngest enjoyed the air hockey/pool table While my oldest son enjoyed sitting on the porch reading. We enjoyed the hot tub just wished that the jacuzzi was larger. The cabin didn't have a blender so could not make mixed drinks all in all I would stay again.

We are repeat guests and love Little Valley Mountain Resort. This was our first time staying in Shady Lady. Very beautiful cabin. It fit our two families perfectly. The cabin was clean and well stocked and off by itself for privacy. Our girls loved looking for all the ladybugs and enjoyed the pool table and air hockey game and our little fur friend that visited us on a daily basis. We named him "Taco" because he liked tacos. (Raccoon). The staff at Little Valley are so wonderful and helpful. The air conditioner stopped working and within minutes there was someone there to fix it. We will definitely be back! Keep up the great work Little Valley!

The cabin and the location couldn't have been better. The view from the back deck, overlooking the smaller peaks and the ridge, demonstrated why this mountain range is called the Smokey Mountains. The cabin was ideally situated near the activities we were interested in and helped make our vacation that much more enjoyable. Because of our interest in hiking and water falls, we would appreciate some marked hiking trails in the vicinity of the cabin. Otherwise, I couldn't find anything to complain about, in or around the cabin.

My husband and I got married in 2005 at Little Valley Mountain Resort and we come back and stay at a different cabin every year. Since getting married, we have had three children so we came back to Shady Lady with a 3 year old, 4 year old, and a 7 month old! The cabin was nicer than the pictures with a beautiful view. Our children maneuvered the stairs safely and loved having their own room with a tv. The only thing that took minor adjustment was the grill. Very small and basic. But if you know about cabins, you will be prepared. We had a great time. We would recommend Shady Lady to anyone...and our four year old is still trying to figure out how many lady bugs are hidden in the cabin!

Our stay was very good. We had snow to watch while we sat in the hot tub and it was beautiful. Only complaints were that the towels were thread bare and the pull-out couch was not fit to sleep on so my boys had to share the second bed. We did some fishing and played some golf ... no fish to be had but the boys enjoyed trying.

Our overall experience here was average. My son and his friend had to use the pull-out couch for a bed for 2 nights while my mother-in-law was in the second bedroom and my husband and I were upstairs. My son's bed wasn't comfortable at all. It had a spring mattress with a flimsy foam to go over that. Our bed upstairs wasn't the most comfortable either. On the good side, there is a nice view from the deck and the upstairs bedroom window. It was clean but the towels were on the thin side. They needed replaced. The location was convenient to town and easily accessible by car. The cabins around you are far enough away that you still have privacy and there are lots of trees between you and your neighbors. I would recommend having a locked drop box for checking out. We left before the office was open and had to leave our house keys in a box for arriving guests that arrived after hours that was not locked.
Wonderful secluded get a way.

This was our first stay in Sevierville and at the Shady Lady. Looking forward to coming back and will stay at the same location. The check in staff was so helpful in replacing the towels as well as letting us know about the local attractions (to include horseback riding, zip line, and Dollywood adventures). Provided us discounted admission tickets as well. The weather was somewhat chilly, but we enjoyed the several ponds to fish at on the property as well. Can not wait to come back!

My unpleasant visit has already been reported to Little Valley Mountain Resort and I never even heard back from them. I believe we stayed during the week of July 4, 2012 holiday. We smelled gas and called the front office. We didn't hear back from them but found some maintenance people and they checked around and didn't really find any thing. They could smell the gas as well, but couldn't find a cause. This caused a little apprehension, but we endured this since they seemed ok with it. Then, the toronado came through the Cades Cove area where there was a fatality. Our power was knocked out. We left the cabin all day and kept checking in until close to dark and each time was told it hadn't been restored yet. We finally said, "look, we have to know something we're not staying here without electricity." The front desk said there's probably no rooms available in town. I told them we would just check out and head home. The girl asked us to leave the keys in the drop area. She said this was the first time she knew of this happening (I guess the length of time the power was off and the fatality???) She said the power company may have been in (she named the state) helping them out. I told her that we were neither one night drivers and we would have to stop and get a hotel. She said, give me a call and let me know you're o.k. We got in such bad weather on the way to the hotel (2 or 3 hours away) that we came close to a bad wreck. Not a good experience! Not a good experience at all! It also cost us another night's stay at the hotel. Little Valley Mountain Resort could have responded to my review of the stay. I will not post this review as I don't believe in being ugly but felt you deserved to know this. Have a blessed day!

This was our 5th time returning to Little Valley and prior to this trip had had nothing but positive experiences that kept us coming back. We live 700 miles away so that's no little trip for a getaway. This trip was to be a much needed vacation/celebration for our son and his new bride. We chose Shady Lady as the pictures were stunning and each bedroom had its' own gas fireplace which we thought would be cozy on cooler Fall nights and "romantic" as well. Unfortunately the Lady is showing her age and looking well worn in person, and the pictures certainly made her look larger than in real life. Despite three calls to the front office the gas fireplaces never were turned on for the season, even though were supposed to be on the day after we arrived. The family staying in the cabin across the road from us in the pet friendly cabin chose to leave their dog alone mostly all day and some evenings--it barked and whimpered constantly making it very difficult to find any "peace and quiet". The neighbors above us chose to quarrel loudly each evening and the sound of that was impossible to escape as well. Weather was cool and wet and I was cold most of the nights until I figured out the heat pump wasn't turned on--my bad I guess. Dollywood was great as always however!
All in all we were very disappointed in this stay and will be reluctant to drive again from Wisconsin for a 6th try. Sadly, many of the cabins are showing their age and are in need of restaining and TLC. We found the staff friendly but less experienced than previous stays. My daughter wants a chance to come back and make more memories at Little Valley again. Probably will for her and her family but I would not choose this cabin again--sad as from the first time I saw the Shady Lady years ago I wanted to stay there. I would look for a cabin higher up and newer and more secluded in the future if we are to come back. Read more

We spent six nights at the Shady Lady cabin at Little Valley Mountain Resort. It could not have been better. The cabin (2 bedroom) was just perfect for my wife and I. Everything was in order when we arrived, even the Jacuzzi was running. The cabin was very clean and well supplied. The location and privacy was excellent. The proximity to all attractions was great; close enough to be there in minutes but far enough away for a quite peaceful vacation. The amenities at the resort are great for families as well as couples; golf, putt putt, fishing or hiking. Our stay was great and we will be back!!!

My stay at the Shady Lady was amazing! I can not wait until I can return. On the first night a friendly raccoon came to visit on the balcony. We enjoyed watching him and he enjoyed my daughter feeding him marshmellows. The cabin was great. It was very well kept and the furnishing was tremendous.

We have stayed at Little Valley Mountain Resort five years ago. This time we stayed in Shady Lady which is a very nice cabin. It was clean and the view from the wrap around porch was great! The cabin was smaller than it appears in the pictures. There was a problem with the upstairs shower leaking into the downstairs bathroom. We reported this to the office staff. We like staying in different cabins and would probably try another one next time. Overall, this was a good choice for two couples but would be too small for more than that.

Shady Lady was a very nice cabin -clean and cozy. I would definately recommend this to people who just want to relax, however, if you're planning on doing a lot of activities in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, it may be a little far off the main drag. It seemed like it took so long to get to and from the cabin every time we went somewhere. Cabin itself was awesome!

Shady Lady was a very comfortable and wonderfully decorated cabin. I was impressed by how clean this cabin was and how many amenitities it had available inside the cabin. Shady Lady is very nicely furnished with just about everything a person needs (with the exclusion of wireless internet), from pool to air hockey(needs a little work), deck with rockers and hot tub. It's fairly private, and the resort with pool and ponds and putt-putt is a nice plus. Would not have a problem going back for another stay, or recommending it to others. It was to hot when we were there, so we missed out on seeing any animals, maybe next time.

We love staying at little Valley Mountain resort. Shady Lady was a great cabin but we could never get it warm enough inside. The cabin was wonderful. Loved the fireplaces in the bedrooms, fireplace in the living area. My kids loved the air hockey table. Most of the other cabins have pool tables. It had a beautiful view and a raccoon came to door and had a look at us also. The only hitch was that we thought the cleaning fee added to the rate was excessive. We also live in a different state so the tax rate and other fees seem high. But I can truly say we enjoyed the cabin, it's beautiful decor, scenery, and of course the lady bugs.

My husband and I have been vacationing at Little Valley for several years. Our favorite cabin, Frontier Mountain, was taken for the week, so we selected Shady Lady. We were drawn to the fireplaces in the bedrooms. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Our favorite feature by far was the wood-burning fireplace. The fireplaces in the bedrooms on are timers (to conserve energy I assume), and that was a bit disappointing - we dubbed these fireplaces Dial-A-Fire - but we understand why it is limited. The cabin was very cozy, well stocked with kitchen utensils, and met all our needs. The decor is charming, but we elected not to count the ladybugs. We enjoyed our stay and left quite relaxed.

The cabin itself is very beautiful and the location is great. We checked in and all went well. When we opened the door to the cabin the cabin smelled like it had been on fire. The smoke smell was very strong. We went back to the check in office and the clerk advised that the previous visitor had built a fire and forgot to open the chimney trap. The cabin had smoked up so bad that the person had to go outside to call the front office. This information was not given to us when checking in or before I signed the no refund contract. Bottom line, the only solution the clerk offered us was to open the windows. The smell did not go away with the windows open. As I stated the location and cabin itself is very nice, but I am very disappointed that I spent over $1k to stay somewhere only to come back home with my clothes and suitcases smelling like smoke. I never plan on staying at any Little Valley Mountain rentals again because of this incident and I will share my experience with others looking for a cabin to stay in while visiting Pigeon Forge.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shady Lady. The friends we were with were really impressed with the cabin. They had never been to the Gatlinburg area before. Upon arrival, the people were very friendly and greeted us with a smile. We made our way up the mountain and found the Shady Lady to be EXACTLY as the pictures described. Absolutely amazing. The place was clean and smelled fresh. We loved the place so much, we wanted to buy it and retire on the spot. The view was fantastic. The location was off the beaten path, which we were happy about.
The homes were far enough away from neighbors to provide plenty of privacy. That is what we were hoping and looking for. We actually used all of the appliances including the washer/dryer. There was enough detergent, laundry soap etc. I would have liked to have seen extra kitchen towels. Next time we will bring kitchen towels. The cupboards were stocked with plenty of eating and cooking pans, plates etc. One drawback, the dinner plates were too big for the dishwasher. So I had to hand wash them or lay them flatter in the dish washer.
What we liked best about the cabin was that it was so beautiful, and exactly like the pictures and off the beaten path, private. What we liked least about it...mmmmmmm that's hard to say, but the one thing we made a commet about was the fact that this was a two bedroom cabin but not really enough places to sit comfortably in the evening to watch t.v. There was a couch for 3 and a chair. Maybe two chairs would have worked better for 4 people renting the Shady Lady. Didn't even try to count the lady bugs...LOL!!Thanks to all who made our stay so wonderful. We will be back BUT NOT DURING THE CAR SHOW WEEKEND. The traffic was horrendous!!!! Made it difficult to go anywhere and do anything in town.

My cousin & I spent 5 nights here at the Shady Lady & it was absolute heaven! The cabin is very cozy & and well equipped with linens, cookware, etc. We arrived late in the evening, but check in was a breeze. When we arrived at the cabin, we were happy to see that the hot tub had been turned on & was heated. We had been travelling all day, so it was nice to sit in the hot tub with a glass of wine and unwind. That became our ritual every evening, since we spent most of our days sight seeing. The beds are so cozy & the fireplaces in the rooms came in handy for the chilly nights. We had fun counting all of the ladybug decor too!
The staff at Little Valley Mountain Resort are very friendly & helpful if you are looking for things to do. The grounds of the resort are so beautiful. There was a wedding going on at the chapel & they were taking photo's near the bridge by one of the lakes. Absolutely breathtaking!
We plan to go back and have recommended Little Valley Resort to all of friends. =)
