Duck, WVWe had a great time.
Left on 04/12/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We recently rented this cabin for spring break. we had a great time. the kids really enjoyed the pool table and we loved having a fire on the cool nights. We had to wait 2 days to get our wireless internet. But other than that we had a great time and enjoyed the cabin. We have recommended Little Valley to several of our friends. Thanks.

New Orleans, LAPerfect TN Mountain Cabin!
Left on 04/04/2013 for a stay in July 2012
We did a huge family reunion here, and this mountain resort was more than accommodating! Every one of our cabins was clean, well-equipped, and convenient. The prices are so reasonable, it seemed too good to be true. This cabin was very close to the front office cabin and the pool, so if you're looking for seclusion, you may want to ask for a resort map to see which cabins are higher in the mountains.

My family and I stayed here through Christmas and it was a very nice cabin. The only complaint would be is that it could use a little better lighting in the bedroom upstairs and also on the outside of the cabin. We enjoyed having the fireplace.

Super nice staff and a nice resort. However, this is one of the oldest cabins and was very dissappointing to walk in to. The web-site photos do not show this cabin to be what it is; outdated and poorly furnished. Save your vacation and book another cabin !!!

So enjoyed our stay. We were apartment hunting in nearby Seymore. So many things to do on our way in and out each day. Found ideal apartment and spent rest of our time doing the strip from Gatlinburg to Seiverville. (several times) The hot tub did it's magic after a full day of running and even several mornings just getting up and going. Beautiful homes nestled in the peaceful, quiet forests. Plan on moving down in October. Can't say enough, we truly enjoyed our stay.

Stayed in Smokey Mountain Rain. Cabin was dirty. Lighting is terrible in cabin. No blinds what so ever in the cabin so when the sun comes up so are you! Many light bulbs burned out and fan not working in bathroom. Plenty of bee, wasp, and hornet nests around the porch...

Left on 05/12/2011 for a stay in April 2011
This being our first cabin experience we had a good time. The cabin was very clean. I was drawn to the cabin for the fishing. However fish were hardly to be found. Other than that we would recommend staying if fishing is not what you require.

Left on 12/01/2010 for a stay in November 2010
It was a nice cabin, but I have rented better (bigger and nicer) for a lesser price. It shouldn't matter what the date is... The cabin needs to be checked for certain things, like the number of people vs. the number of towels. Make sure the t.v. remotes work, (we had to go buy one, because the front desk had no soultion to this problem). We also had no firewood, although they were quick to deliver some, it was wet so we could barely keep the fire going. We had no water pressure, it was fixed pretty fast when we reported it, so I wonder if that is something that they "turn off" when no one is in the cabin. This cabin allows pet's and we did bring ours, they have a handout that they give to inform you to keep your animals off beds and couches, you need to check for that when cleaning, the comforter on the upstairs bed was covered in dog hair, and smelled like it had not been laundered.

I forgot to leave my review papers sorry. Everything was excellent. Only tips we want to leave is that the kitchen needs a nonstick large skillet. The bedroom upstairs remote would not work correctly (may only need battery). Thanks. We had 28 and 30 year olds with us as well.

Left on 11/11/2010 for a stay in October 2010
the picture of the cabin was when it was brand new,i guess all of these rentals don't upgrade their pictures periodically..i paid top dollar to stay here and i expected top dollar on cleanliness issues...cabin needed a thorough dusting, scouring.cobweb removal, and complete plumbing rennovation...pet hair was in bed linens and there was also human hair also...last night we stayed my daughter found pet fesces under her bunk bed...water pressure was low but management correced this problem in a timely manner...location was great and cabin was beautiful,it just needed a little TLC!!! i guess these out of town people who build and invest into these places don't have time to check into their properties to see if people are getting their moneys worth out of the stay...bottom line i would stay here again if cabin was a little cleaner and upgrades were made to match the price of the rental...again not the worst experience i have had but definately not the best...thanks kevin dubose

South Shore, KYNothing but sunshine at smokey mountain rain!
Left on 09/30/2010 for a stay in August 2010
Myself, my elderly mother, and my disabled brother stayed in Smokey Mountain Rain and although it wasn't a handicap accessible cabin, the staff was kind enough to provide us with a set of wheelchair ramps during our stay so we were able to stay in this cabin which we loved because of the location. It's close to the pool, fishing ponds, and putt putt golf. And you don't have to drive up a steep mountain to get to it. The cabin looked and smelled nice and clean despite the few cobwebs upstairs. And it has a nice private back deck where the hot tub is. The things I liked least about our stay here was the pool table in the loft is dangerously close to the open stairway. If you're not particularly careful you will fall down the steps. Also the electronic dart board didn't work. They advertise an Xbox with the cabin but we had to wait a few days to get any games for it and they only have one game that works in it and you have to rent it. The pool is advertised as staying open until dark but it actually closes at 7:30. There are no lights at the putt putt golf so you can't play in the cool evenings. Only during the day when it's so hot. There also are no pole lights at the fishing ponds. And the pond that has the handicapp accessible dock around it actually only goes about a third way around, although when I reserved the cabin I was told that it goes arouond the entire pond., but there is a step on the dock as soon as you start around it, so if you are in an electric wheelchair, you can't go past the step. I don't know why they would put a step there instead of a slope if it's for wheelchairs. Go figure. If these few small changes were made, this would be the greatest place ever to say in Tennessee!

With kids in tow this was the perfect location to walk to the pool, mini-golf, fishing and the playground. The cabin front and back decks were wonderful places for everyone to relax or the kids to paint. They kids were in heaven with the front yard and all of the bugs they collected. It is close to Gatlinburg and can go to Cades Cove via back route which is much quicker.

Great, relaxing, serene vacation! Just what we needed. The back porch was our favorite area to hang out. The stove stopped working in the middle of cooking breakfast. The staff had someone there to repair the stove within 1 hour of us reporting the problem. Now that's service. Staff was extremely friendly. The only real negative thing was the par 3 course was in deseperate need of mowing, it was a hay field.

Left on 01/13/2010 for a stay in December 2009
Having stayed at LVMR multiple times over the past several years, this cabin was the least impressive. The issue that iritated me the most was something so very basic, most of the knobs on the dressers were signficantly loose. Also the faucets were very dated and original pieces were missing. The diveway needed some work as part of it was colapsing and was difficult to avoid dropping the front tire into and possibly damaging a tire and wheel.
The cabin needed a thorough cleaning to get cobwebs removed.
We will go back to LVMR, b.ut not to this cabinResponse from Little Valley Mountain Resort - 04/20/2010

This was our first time in the mountains and in a cabin and we had a wonderful time. The cabin was very clean and had everything we could need. Our 9 and 10 y/o loved the XBox. My 20 y/o sister (whose hard to entertain) loved the cabin and amenities as well. Being from the Southern flatlands, the location of the cabin being on the lower end of the mountain was a plus, but we got our exercise trying to walk up the road to look at the other cabins. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at the Mountain Rain cabinet and it was perfect! The cabin was very clean and had all the anemities of home. This cabin was within walking distance to the clubhouse, minature golf and ponds so that are children 11, 12, 12, and 14 years old could walk themselves to the different activities. We had an absolute wonderful time and will be returning next year and making it a family tradition.

Got in the first unit it had no hot tub like i wanted and the outside tub was not clean a unit next to the office we were disappointed. The next day we were moved to a newer unit up the mountain, this was a great unit. I could have spent the rest of my time there just sitting in the cabin or on the deck. This unit was almost on the top of the hill and had a walking path close by where we walked the dogs. It didn't have a jacuzzi in the main bedroom like i wanted but the rest of the cabin made up for it clean and quiet not any traffic, your at the top.

VACabin was awesome, but...
Left on 07/29/2009 for a stay in June 2009
Our family really, really enjoyed this cabin! It was very nice and very clean. I would recommend this cabin to anyone! It was next to the pool, the office, and the fishing ponds. When I made my reservations, the staff went above and beyond to help me...especially Kathy! She was very helpful and very nice! My family thoroughly enjoyed the pool. The only thing we were not very happy with was the "golf course". My son plays on the golf team in high school and my husband and other son also plays. To read about the amenities, this was a course to really look forward to. However, they were very dissappointed to find a very small, weed taken field. Not anything like the review had led them to believe. We overcame the dissapointment by finding lots of other things to do in the Great Smokey Mountains. I would recommend this cabin to anyone, just don't go for the golfing!

Smoky Mountain Rain is the cabin nearest the main entrance and within convenient walking distance to the pool, putt-putt, swings, and fishing ponds. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The bunkbeds in the loft were perfect for us to keep an eye on our boys at night. And, the bedroom downstairs gave mom-mom and pop-pop some privacy. It only took about 10 minutes to drive to the main parkway each day, but we enjoyed sipping coffee on the front porch swing before we got started.

We loved mountain rain cabin. It was a great 4nights and 5 days there. My son who is 11 gets very bored easily. The staff there was more than patient with my son when he would go and trade in games or when he wanted fishing poles to go fishing. He never once was bored there. The cabin was very clean and relaxing. We thank u for the great get away and hope to get back soon.

We were looking for a relaxed atmosphere where we could spend a vacation with our preschool/toddler aged sons. Little Mountain Valley fit perfectly. The cabin was private, safe, and clean. The onsite amenities offered plenty of FREE activity for our boys. Dad enjoyed the flat screen TV especially during nap times. Mom enjoyed the peace of the mountains from the porch swing. It was a wonderful vacation. Our boys loved their "mountain house" and will treasure the memories of unlimited put-put golf, fishing, and swimming.
