This cabin was way up the mountain with an exquisite view. The cabin was maintained very well. A few too many centipedes for my wife but to be expected when out in the country. The neighborhood was quiet and location was great for a nice getaway to stay in the cabin or explore Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg with easy access to the main parkway. I would stay at this location again.
Would you recommend this vacation rental to a friend?
the drive up is scary to say the least

First of all it was smaller than it looks in the pictures. Several things did not work well like the hot tub, whirlpool tub, or the dart
Game. It is not set up for older folks. The worst thing about it was the drive to the top of the mountain. Very narrow and winding.

Although the cabin is smaller than it looks in pictures, it was still a great little cabin! We did have a problem with the heater but the friendly staff had someone at the cabin within the hour to fix it. What the website failed to inform us was that the cabin was all the way at the top of the mountain. That had a few negatives (the roads) and a few positives (the view). We had an amazing time and we will definitely be using Dollywood cabins again!!
Beautiful view - great weekend!

We really enjoyed the cabin. Definitely stock up with what you need before you get there because the winding drive up the mountain seems long but it's worth it. The cabin had everything we needed and we would definitely do this again.
Great family weekend in a beautiful environment!

The cabin was conveniently located, staff was helpful, and attractions were family friendly. We had so much fun at Dollywood and Ripley's aquarium. There was something for everyone. The cabin itself was thoughtfully planned with amenities and privacy as well. The view was exquisite! We really liked having the Jacuzzi tub in both bedrooms as well as the individual baths attached to each bedroom.

The cabin we stayed in was great and had an amazing view. It was quite the drive up but worth it. Kept clean and really enjoyed the views right from our deck.
Fun in the Mountains -

The view is amazing...just don't be in a hurry. It takes 8 minutes from the time you start up the mountain's curvey road to get to the cabin. The cabin had a few bugs including a scorpion in it. Either it had been a while since someone rented the cabin or cleaning is an issue. Not real bad but was noticable. Loved the area, many things to do especially for kids. Dollywood shot fireworks every night and from the cabin's back porch, we a front row seats.
Nice cabin, beautiful views

Things we liked - Cabin was clean. Kitchen was outfitted with the essentials. Game room and the hot tub on the balcony were fun for us.
Things they don't tell you in the advertising - 1) The pictures make the cabin look much bigger than it actually is. Size was acceptable for 4 people. 2) The drive to the cabin feels like a roller coaster to people from a flat state. This cabin is Dollywood's farthest away/highest up cabin. The map they give you isn't very good and GPS didn't recognize the address. We made several wrong turns the first time including one that would have let us drive right off a cliff had we not been taking it slow. I wouldn't recommend trying to find the cabin the first or second time in the dark. 3) There were quite a few spiders, millipedes, carpenter ants, etc. inside the cabin. 4) It's a good 10-15 minute drive to get down to the main roads from the cabin so you may only be a few miles from Dollywood but it'll take you longer than you think to go anywhere.
Recommendations to the owners - It would be nice if you would 1) get a pest control company to spray once in a while 2) replace the Teflon pans with ones not all chipped up as it's not supposed to be good for one's health to be eating the Teflon bits and 3) upgrade the tube TVs.
Wonderful mountain top view!!

Service was great and the people are very helpful and friendly. The house was nice, rooms smaller than they appear in the pictures. Had a few bugs in the house but I believe it was due to the fact no one had been their in a while. A racoon was a frequent visitor on the deck, seems he had a house under the jacuzzi. The pool table needs to be in a bigger space, not enough room to play. We cooked alot, need potholders for the kitchen!

The only challenge was getting warm water in one of the bathrooms. The description of the faucet was flipped upside down which challenged us and only after sending the security guy up and having him call the maintenance guy... we figured out the trick how to use it. ;-)
Everything else perfectly fine and a great place for two couples! :-)))

Cabin needs to be update. Furniture uncomfortable. Games in gameroom in poor shape and could not be used. Directions to cabin hard to follow. A number of small things need to fixed/ ie: broken toilet seat, broken lamp shade, toilet that takes forever to fill. Kitchen well equipted, Great view, enjoyed hot tub. Close to Dollywood and lots of thing to do. Great location. Would not rent this one again. Not worth the money. Pictures are deceptive.

We expected a resort atmosphere. The cabin is so far away and up turny roads of a mountain there was no resort experience whatsoever. The map to the cabin needs to be clearer. The cabin could have been a little cleaner. The corners had dirt and the jacuzzi had black spots that took an hour to soak and scrub. There were a few broken items and a missing remote. There is a racoon problem. A family of racoons making day and night visits and hanging out on the deck for hours, begging for food. This made the hot tub inaccessible much of the time. There was no privacy in the main bedroom because the glass fireplace goes from the bedroom to the living room and there is no cover for the bedroom. The office closes too early for good customer service.
Great views but old dated cabin

The views were excellant, but the cabin not so great. We turely expected more Luxury as we booked through Dollywood Vacations. The cabin is listed as Luxury cabin on there website, but it is far from. The inside fridge door was broken, both toilet seats broken, deck chair broken, cover for hot tub broken, carpet dirty and still had popcorn on it, Foose ball table broken as well as dart board. The furniture and beds have past their prime.
For the price we paid I find this hard to believe this cabin is up to Dollywoods standard for luxury.
The location is atop the mountain and is approx 20 min drive to town down narrow winding roads. The view from the cabin faces NW and although you cannot see the town during the day the glow of the city lights in the distance can be seen.
Overall we had a great stay
The check-in was easy and all the staff were excellent and helpful.
We visited both Dollywood and water park, had a great time. Parks are clean and well kept.
We will come back to the smokey mountains again. There are many cabin rental companies in the area you might want to try out.

We had a wonderful stay! We loved our view, the hot tub, and the umlimited tickets to DollyWood and Splash Country. It was very comfy and we would definitely do again. I recommend if you love the mountains and just want a simple vacation of the park and hiking trails at Great Smoky Mountain National Park close by.
Extremely dirty place

Nothing was as described. Things were either missing or broken. Cabin was filty, even blood on one of the inside jacuzzi's. Neither jacuzzi had been cleaned, so we were not able to use them at all. I notified the people at the reservation center of all this and they did nothing. Garbage from previous tenant had never been picked up. They said it would be done that first day. That never happened, which made the black bears stay constantly at or around our cabin. I again notified them on that friday, nothing was done again. I would never rent one of those cabins again. I would rent some place else that held to there words. I definetly would not recommend anyone renting from you.

This cabin need serious maintenance and help. Dollywood should be ashamed to put their name on this cabin!!
The first problem was that this cabin was two miles up to nearly 4,000 ft elevation up a narrow dangerous windy road. The last part of the road is only one lane and you can't see other traffic coming. If two vehicles are on the road at the same time, someone has to back up!! Below lists all of the other issues with the cabin:
- Windows overlooking the view are filthy and hazy
- There is only one frying pan that is nasty and looks like it was from Walmart
- There are not enough or proper cooking utensils or bowls, etc
- There are no cleaning supplies and two little packs of dishwashing detergent - not enough for the stay.
- The dryer has a loud squealing noise that sounds like the bearing is going out
- The one of the dining room chairs was broken so could not be used
- One of the outside porch rocking chairs was broken and could not be used.
- The Jacuzzi does not work properly and there are no instruction for changing the temperature
- If you loose water in the Jacuzzi, tough, there is no water hose to fill it in.
- You only get two rolls of TP that will not support the six people the cabin boasts
- The game room was a complete joke!! The pool table is too big for the area and the sticks hit the wall when you are trying to shoot. The foosball table has to be moved to break.
- The foosball table is cheap and wobbly. It looks like it is from Walmart.
- The fireplace door in the master room is broke, and people in the living room can see right through it into the bedroom.
- The master bedroom has a 13-inch TV that is just stupid to watch!! The other bedroom looks like it has a TV a little bigger.
- Oh yea, the cabins are zero lot line and when you are in the Jacuzzi, the people in both cabins can see you!!
I feel like we got totally ripped off for what we paid. There were so many other cabins that were immaculate and we got the lemon!

My three children, my Mom and I enjoyed a beautiful (and adventurous!) 4-night Stay in God's Country Cabin by Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN.
The check-in process was average, with a less than enthusiastic agent to check us in. Regrettably, she did not provide good directions up to the cabin, nor was able to provide recommendations for activities, restaurants, or shops. This was surprising and a bit disappointing.
Travelers staying at any of the cabins should be prepared for mountain driving and have a gps with them. The signage and written directions up on the mountain are not all that helpful. God's Country is truly at the top of the summit and provided privacy and extraordinary views! The bedding and kitchen amenities were average and well-used/worn. I would have liked to see newer sheets, pillows and bed spread as well as kitchen dishes/glasses/silverware.
The largest missing factor to the cabin was the lack of candles and flashlights. The power went out 4 times because of thunderstorms.
Dollywood and Splash Country were incredibly fun, along with exploring Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We would definitely recommend this trip, but perhaps do a bit more research on the amenities in the cabin.

The cabin was very nice. One minor thing is the front window glass in the main area needed to be cleaned up. Really enjoyed the front deck!
