This is my 3rd time back to Dollywood Cabins, and my 2nd time staying at Moonlight Ridge Cabin. This cabin has one of the most perfect unobstructed views of both the Smoky Mtns. & of the Pigeon Forge strip. You can see all the city lights from the balcony without all of the hustle and bustle of the city noise. As usual, everything about our stay was incredible with a few minor exceptions.
The downstairs fireplace wasn't working and the hot tub was not filled up. Both were not a big deal since all we had to do was call down to the front office and maintenance was up immediately to fix the 2 issues. However he left the water flowing in the hot tub and it was overflowing over the balcony when we came back to the cabin from our daytime adventures. I had to call down to maintenance again to get them to correct the overflow and to fix the hot tub again. Again, no big issue overall. Oh, and there was an issue with us not being able to enjoy the outside balcony views the first couple of days due to carpenter bees swarming the place. I guess this happens all the time around Spring when the weather begins to warm up. After about the 3rd-4th day they bees went away and we were able to fully enjoy our cabin again both indoors and outdoors. Overall our stay was fantastic as usual.
Very beautiful place to stay, all the comforts of home and more.

Very comfortable and beautiful place to stay. Great for families or a romantic getaway. Beautiful views of the mountains. The only thing I can say could be better is the porch furniture. It works fine, but is a little weathered. I would definitely stay again. Read more
Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We love to hear from our guests. We will pass along the information about the porch furniture to our homeowner. We invite you to come back and stay with us on your next trip to the Smoky Mountains!

We loved our stay- from the beautiful. Clean, cabin to the fun times over at Dollywood. My kids loved the pool table & air hockey table, my hubby loved the big Tv's & fireplaces, and we all enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the beautiful snow covered mountains. The lights at night from the city were beautiful as well. We didn't want to leave!! The only downside was that we booked over a holiday so the rental rates were pretty steep.

Our recent stay at Moonlight Ridge was the most peaceful, relaxing weekend we have had in years. The cabins and the view were beautiful, the cabins were clean, and lacking nothing. Even when there was problem with our original reserved cabin, Management went above and beyond and wasted no time in resolving the issue and making sure my family was taken care of and comfortable. We are already planning our next vacation in a couple of months; we are making our reservations with Dollywood Cabins, if not for the wonderful cabins and beautiful view, then because of how well Management took care of us when an issue arose.

The staff at Dollywood/Cabins are always both friendly and helpful. Moonlight Ridge cabin was beautiful. It has everything you possibily need. It was sooo relaxing and comfortable. The view was amazing and it was nice hearing the train from Dollywood. It was one the nicest cabins we've stayed in while visiting Tennessee. Everything about the cabin and the area was just great. I can't say enought about it. I know we'll be back again next year.

Place was beautiful & very convenient. Bed linens/covers could be updated but everything else seemed to be right on point.

We chose Moonlight Ridge specifically for its location overlooking Dollywood and it did not disappoint! We watched the 4th of July fireworks from our porch every night, and found the sound of Dollywood's train whistle to be charming. The only reason I have rated this cabin 3 stars is because it is in need of a few repairs and general upkeeping.
It is a pet-friendly cabin, which we were aware of when renting, but there were urine stains on the living room rug and the wooden handles on the shutters behind the whirlpool tub in the upstairs bath had been gnawed off. The stairs leading up to the entrance porch were uneven and almost caused falls for all four of us (husband, two kids and myself). Also, the cabin was advertised as having a game system (PlayStation, Xbox, etc.) My kids were disappointed to find that it did not. Not a big issue, since we were out most of the time, but shouldn't be listed as an amenity if it's not actually available.
I was mostly disappointed in the cleanliness of the cabin; I found bug parts in the sheets on the kids' bed when I stripped them for checkout. Not sure if they were there all along or if the kids brought them in on their feet, although I doubt they would've stayed stuck on bare feet after walking across the carpet. At any rate, it's probably good I didn't find them earlier, no one would've slept.
Like I said, we chose this cabin for it's location, which was spectacular. I would definitely consider renting it again, but this time I'd request a walk-through with the management, just to be sure the linens are clean and issues like the urine stains aren't blamed on us.
I should also mention that we have stayed in another Dollywood cabin in this same resort, Cloud 9, and it was immaculate. I would not hesitate to recommend Dollywood Vacations to anyone. Just know the cabins are not all in the same condition and weigh that against the view (quiet mountains or Pigeon Forge/Dollywood) and amenities you'd most prefer.

Our cabin was beautiful!! Only a couple things were a problem. The home owner needs to update their silverware and pots and pans in the kitchen. We did find dirty pots, pans and dishes. Had to wash everything before using. Didn't like that you couldn't regulate the thermostat..

We arrived after the office closed for the night and I had put a call in to the night security man. he was waiting for us when we arrived in our 40 foot motorhome and escorted us up the mountain. He could not have been any friendlier! Helped us park and made sure we got in the cabin ok. If you need anything after hours, he's your man! When we arrived at 10pm after driving for 11 hours we pulled back the sheets to find a bug and someone else's hair in the bed. I felt the cabin could have been cleaned a little more thoroughly especially we paid 400.00 a night to stay there during spring break. There were only 6 forks and knives in the drawer so we could have used more dish soap for washing. There was a broom but no dustpan and no other cleaning supplies so if you are stayig for more than a couple of days, come prepared with supplies. The cabin was laid out well. We had fun using the pool table and air hockey game. The hot tub was a nice end to the day and we had a beautiful view from the deck. The cabin is at the top of the subdivision and conveniently located to Piegeon Forge and Gatlinburg. After I washed the sheets, it was an overall good experience.

We booked a cabin that ended up going off the Dollywood program and we ended up being put in one I was not happy with, but the next morning I went to the office and we were put n the Moonlight Ridge cabin. This cabin was more than we expected and was gorgeous! We will be booking this same exact cabin for our one year anniversary and we can not wait to go back!!!

Great 3-day stay in December

Check-in was quick, efficient, friendly and helpful. All the household items we needed for a 3 day stay were provided from paper towels to dishes to linens. Didn't have to bring anything but food/snacks/drinks. The cabin was nicely decorated for the Christmas season with garland and bows outside, and a full-size, lit Christmas tree inside.
Views are great! Valley on one side - smoky mountains on the other side. If you are interested in renting a cabin through Dollywood Vacations, the cabins in the Star Crest Resort have much better views than the Bear Cove Falls location, although the latter location is a bit closer to the attractions in Pigeon Forge.
This cabin came with a PC and Playstation, both of which were dated and we didn't use them. WiFI was also provided so we used our own laptops. Tvs were also dated but not ancient. Hot tub had one of two jet control valves broken, but otherwise was fine. Air hockey table was fun to use.
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay. During our stay we discovered a couple other cabins in the Star Crest Resort with even better views and will probably try renting one of those on our next visit, although we would have no problem staying at Moonlight Ridge again.

Wonderful view and great amenities. we were please with almost ever aspect of the place. We did have a mishap with the Jacuzzi and the hot tub but both were easily corrected. The downstairs bed was not as goot as the rest of the facility but we loved it and hope to go again as soon as possible. Read more
