      A great relaxing vacation with beautiful views!

      You can't go wrong with Castle on a Cloud. My husband and I took our oldest daughter there for a mini vacation after her second year of college. She loved having her own bedroom and bathroom. The amenities were great with all the electronics labeled with detailed instructions on how to use them. We have been renting cabins in Gatlinburg for the last ten years and this cabin tops them all! We enjoyed the hot tub with the awesome views. The cabin had everything we needed and we felt like we were at home. The location was great as we spent one of our days at Dollywood which was about 10 minutes away. We were near plenty of restaurants as well. We all really liked the arcade games and spent a lot of family time playing them. Great cabin, great vacation, we would definitely go back!

      We had a lovely time, despite cold weather that kept us from enjoying the decks, swing, hot tub as much as planned. 3DTV was cool. Lots of toys (xBox, PS3, pool table, etc) for our 14-yr-old son and nice that there are separate entertainment spaces on two floors. The "loft bedroom" with canopy bed is on the second floor (with no wall/door) adjoining the space w/ the pool table, air hockey so we gave the whole floor to our son. Cabin is well-maintained. Unfortunately the renters before us were smokers, but we managed to get rid of the smell w/ Febreeze. Online photos (as always) make the cabin look bigger than it is but it was plenty of space for our family of 3. I don't know how comfortable it would be with more than 4 people having to deal w/ making/unmaking the sofa bed every day. The photos make it look more secluded than it truly is (it's actually on a street full of cabins overlooking more cabins), but the other cabins don't feel too close and the mountain view is unobstructed. Location is terrific - just a short drive into Pigeon Forge (which is way less crowded/congested than Gatlinburg). A few things to note: The kitchen is really small - totally big enough for a vacation, but the problem is that every cabinet is full so there is no room for groceries - just one tiny free-standing cart. The decor was a little much for us (and in the way just a bit). The main level is full of bears on most surfaces and the bedroom has huge rustic log furniture (the bedroom would be more spacious with "normal" furniture). The second floor has a completely unrelated castle theme complete with tapestry, tassels and other fussy decor (crystal, angels, etc.). And then there's the red heart-shaped tub with a window overlooking the air hockey table...weird. We'd prefer less kitschy theme/clutter, but it didn't negatively affect our experience. Overall, it was clean, comfortable, and we would definitely stay there again and recommend to others. DollyWood Vaca staff is great, too.

      Loved our recent stay at Castle On a Cloud managed by Dollywood vacations. The cabin was wonderfully equipped with everything we might need, but since it was just my husband and myself, we were interested in rest and relaxation. The view was gorgeous, the location was quiet and was just what we wanted. We took one day to go to Gatlynburg and to do some shopping, the rest of the time we were in the cabin, soaking in the hot tub, watching the flat screen Tv's, checking email on the computer or just reading and sleeping. Awesome time.

      Great Vacation

      Castle On a Cloud was so comfortable that all we wanted to do was watch movies and play games. The cabin had everything, every little detail was covered and the decor was amazing. Had a blast New Years Eve on the deck watching the fireworks and screaming with fellow neighbors. My favorite addition to the cabin was the old school PaC Man game.

      The power went out in one room in the middle of a light snowstorm and security came right away to reset the breaker.

      We absolutely loved our stay at our cabin, "Castle on a cloud" . The cabin provided great views of the smokey mountains no matter what room you were in. Me and my husband went to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary and stayed a week at the cabin. We loved waking up each morning and having a perfect view of the mountains. Gorgeous! The room was very clean and included everything we needed. Had dishes, forks, knives, spoons, cooking pots and pans etc.. The local krogers is just minutes away and its so close to all the attractions in Pigeon forge and Gatlinberg . Another nice feature the Hot tub on the upstairs balcony. We made use of this every night after all the walking in town. The cabin is just like the photos show and more. We can't wait to return. Look for our review left in the guest book, we mentioned we are taking a little bit of southern twang back to Michigan hoping to " see Y' all TN folk once again! "

My family was happily enjoying the Castle on a Clouds' many amenities, and I was taking in some on the most beautiful scenery that you could reflect on. Now I know why they are called the Great Smokie Mountains.

      We absolutely loved "Castle on a Cloud." The cabin lived up to it's name! My family loved the views of the mountains! We would rise early in the morning and have our morning coffee on the deck with the clouds surrounding us. The house has every necessity to feel comfortable and feel a little bit spoiled also! We loved the hot tub, video games and the beds were so comfortable. The cabin was so close to all our destinations (Dollywood, horseback riding, white water rafting, etc...). We cannot wait to come back and stay at "Castle on the Cloud" again!

      Our vacation rental, Castle on a Cloud, was magnificent. From the moment we picked up the phone to book our cabin through the end of our vacation, the folks at Dollywood were spectacular. Our reservation associate (I wish I remember her name), guided us to our cabin. When we checked in the personnel that we dealt with were extremely helpful, recommending several great restaurants and activities. The cabin was spotless and everything was as described - no overselling was evident at all. What a great choice. We were very happy and will do it again.

      Castle on a cloud was a beautiful cabin and the views were awesome! There is so much to do in the town and surrounding areas! You don't even have to leave the cabin with all the games and extras to do! We had a blast! All the people we encountered were super nice!
