This cabin was fantastic! The kids were so excited! We couldn't even do all the things the cabin had to offer because we were that busy and had that much fun. Ample room, great kitchen, well stocked with necessities. The 6 of us were very comfortable during our stay. Plus, the one admission price got us into Dollywood for as many times as we wanted during the length of our stay. Would recommend it highly to anyone.
Our experience was relaxing and a great place to hang out with t

Plenty of space! Lots to keep the kids entertained. We felt right at home. The lady who checked us in was so polite and helpful. She was a breath of fresh air. The only negatives were the small window that looks into the bathroom upstairs from the inside needs to have a lock. It would come open too easily. Also, the upstairs mattress is lower in the middle than the outsides. Other than that, it really was perfect! We would stay there again.
The cabin was cozy and very relaxing.

The cabin was incredible. Well stocked and prepared for out arrival all we needed to bring was food. The view was great, the cabin is on the back of the culdesac which means you can see another cabin in front of you To the left, however the view is still incredible and unobstructed. Everything was great with this cabin, we already have family renting it soon and we will stay again next year probably. The road is steep getting to the cabins so take your time and be patient getting to it. Overall I'd give the cabin 4 stars out of 5, only because it doesn't actually sit off of the side of the mountain and it sits in the culdesac, but again the view is still awesome, if your looking for that step on the porch and look straight down the drop of the mountain this isn't your cabin. Great time, great experience. Read more
Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We love to hear back from our guest on what you enjoyed the most from the cabin. We do have other cabins that the deck hangs over the side of the mountain. On your next stay one of our customer service staff could help point out a cabin to meet your expectations!

Without a doubt this was a wonderful place to spend a Christmas get a way! The cabin was tastefully decorated for the holiday and felt like home.We had a wonderful week, enjoying the hot tub on the porch overlooking the Smokey Mts. and the pool table. The cabin was fully furnished with starter supplies and nice bedding. We couldn't have asked for anything more. We were lucky the weather was good. The climb to the mountain top could be a definite issue if it's icy or snowing.
Spacious cabin with beautiful view

The cabin was huge, had a beautiful view. Upon arrival, the cabin was very clean and everything was in working order. We really liked the games on the second floor (pool table, air hockey table, vintage-style video game machine, Xbox, PlayStation, etc.). Our favorite was the jacuzzi on the 2nd floor balcony. It had run out of bromide, but a quick call to the front desk and a maintenance person was there to resolve the issue. To top it all off, the cabin was very reasonably priced. A great value! Very highly recommended.

Very cozy. Plenty things to do inside the cabin if someone wanted just to relax in the cabin all day. Really liked that the furniture matched the log cabin feel of the place.

where to start?!Pros: beautiful location in a cul de sac. great views if you don't mind the homes in front but on second floor you can see past. home was gorgeous. kids had a blast with pool table, air hockey and video game console(very loud though).Cons: railings are worn, watch for splinters, walking up to steps outside can be a pain, especially when wet, due to type of walkway used. (gravel and slab stone) beds were ultra soft and wore. couches were nice but well used. all in all nice stay just don't expectations high even with the high price.

This cabin is right next door to Dollywood and Splash Country; very short drive and free parking for booking with Dollywood cabin rentals. We also visited downtown Pigeon Forge and Gaitlinburg, Tn. This was the perfect location to enjoy the many things to do in Tn; everything is right down the road! The cabin is gorgeous, clean and loaded with things for children to do. My boys (11, 8 and 5) played pool and video games every night before bed and every morning before leaving for a day out. The only thing I noticed that could have been better... the large bath with the romantic jacuzzi is upstairs where all the games are. So, the jacuzzi went unused. This is an excellent cabin for two or a family of 5.

Staying in a Dollywood cabin has always been a treat. It is like having an extra house just for vacations! Big beds, a hot tub, and no kids running up and down the halls or screaming in the pool. Real walls and doors along with a beautiful view for pretty much the same amount as a motel.

This was the first time we booked with Dollywood Vacations. Love Shack was the most beautiful cabin we've ever stayed in. We arrived Thursday, January 17, 2013 and quickly became snowed in. When we got to the grocery store it had been icy but when we came out it was snowing heavily. we safely made it back to our cabin but thought we may be able to get out later. We were wrong. The only thing we had to cook was pancakes! It was a perfect night! There was plenty to do to keep us occupied. Air hockey table, pool table, games, hot tub, wifi, a jacuzzi bathtub, I could go on and on. I'm a huge moose fan and there was moose decor everywhere! We truly appreciated that we were almost at the top of a mountain and the roads were scraped and gravel was put down. This was the perfect vacation and we will be booking with Dollywood Vacations from now on.

We "Loved" the Love Shack Cabin!!

My husband, myself and our six kiddos ranging from 14 yrs to 9 months old stayed at the Love Shack Dollywood Cabin in Pigeon Forge, TN on Jan 1st 2013 thru Jan 5th 2013. Our first day we arrived right before 4pm for check-in but our cabin was not available for us at that time. The staff told us that our cabin would be available within the hour due to the shortage of cleaning staff because of an emergency. We decided to ride around the Pigeon Forge strip to check out the sights and restaurants. We finally received a call that our cabin was ready, maybe 45-50 min later. Now finding our cabin was a bit challenging. The office provides a written description and map to help us find our cabin but to our surprise, neither bit of information was helpful and we basically found it on our own after about 10 minutes of riding around. Finally, we get to the cabin and from the outside, it looked beautiful with a great view. We go inside and everything is very clean and is neatly set up with a Christmas tree and Christmas decor. The kids run upstairs to check out the Loft/game area and they were filled with wows and joy. Even though I packed some kitchen supplies, the kitchen was basically fully stocked from pots, pans, coffee cups, wine glasses, eating utensils, coffee maker, can opener and many other supplies. Despite the rough start getting to the cabin, we forgot all about that once we got there. During the week, we did what other families probably did by visiting the popular sights and restaurants in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge but the kids were always excited to come back to the cabin and hang out. The hot tub was a super plus for everyone as well. To conclude my review, we all enjoyed our stay and we would definitely recommend Dollywood Cabins to everyone.
Awesome after Christmas Downtime.

Check in was easy and the staff was so helpful. The home was wonderful; clean, well stocked kitchen, awesome views. The loft with the game table, pool table and air hockey was a hit with the kids! No shortage of entertainment and fun in this cabin! I would have given it 5 stars, except the sheets on the bed were stretched out or just poorly fitting, because they slipped off the corners every night and that was quite annoying. However, this was minor, and I would glady return to the Love Shack. We are eagerly anticipating our next vacation in the Smoky Mountains. Read more

This is the second time I have stayed at a Dollywood cabin. The unit is starting to get a little dated, however that is my only complaint. The hot tub has definitely seen better days and the pool table and air hockey on on there last legs. Enough of the bad stuff. Beds are super comfortable. The place is clean - especially the bathrooms. Kitchen accessories are not my from my home kitchen, but suitable for a rental type cabin. The one thing missing was a cutting board. Very awkward trying to navigate meals without a cutting board. Views from the back porch very nice. I suggest something more bear resistant be placed on the outside back porch. Our trash can, even though tethered to the railing was upended by a bear and trash all over the place. All in all, great place to relax and enjoy after a full day @ Dollywood or many of the other attractions in the area.

Loved the Love Shack
Left on 08/08/2012 for a stay in July 2012 | Mary
My family and I loved our stay at the Love Shack. We all loved relaxing in the hot tub while enjoying a spectacular view of the Smoky Mountains. My sister and I favorite part was sharing our meals at the dining room table and sharing our likes and dislikes about the activities of the day. The kids liked the air hockey and pool table and the big screen tvs. We were all able to use our computers due to the wifi. The service was very good. Our microwave wasn't working and a temporary one was brought to our cabin within a few hours and a new unit was put in the very next day.
Three dislikes were the mattresses on the pull out beds. They were terrible. My son slept on one but an adult would never be able to sleep on one of those. Another disappointment was the Starr Crest Resort pool. The water appeared green and cloudy and the bottom of the pool was very dirty. Lastly the jets in the whirlpool bathtub were not working.
Excellant! Unless the air goes out.

We came to the Pigeon Forge area for the first time in july 2012. The view was amazing, the cabin was incredible, but the service was something else. Our air conditioning had gone out, no big deal right?. Wrong. I called first thing in the morning, everyone was friendly. I was told the maintenance guy was coming out to look at it, so we decided to head out so they wouldn't have to work around us. We got back about 1 and found that nothing was done so I called yet again. The woman that picked up the phone told me she had no idea what I was talking about and there were no notes. So I hung up and called again. I got someone in the main office, who then told me an a/C tech was on his way and would be there soon. I come from a construction and remodeling backround knowing that customer communications is a must. Especially when you are spending 400 bucks a night. So for as for the cabin, it was great. For the service and communication.. It would make me want to take my money elsewhere.

The "Love Shack" was a very nice cabin. It was clean and most items were in working order (need a new handle for the toaster). We appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked with lots of items for cooking and eating. The only issue is the comfort of the sofa beds. The spring mattresses are very uncomfortable! Futon mattresses are usually much more comfortable. Maybe move in this direction when replacing the couches in the future.
Great family fun!

We had a wonderful vacation. The cabin and view was beautiful. Tons of room. Was a little disappointed that the other cabins were as closer as they were. The hot tub cover was difficult to take off and on. You needed two people to do it. There was also a lot of wasps flying around and trying to make nests.

Our stay at the Love Shack was wonderful. The cabin is beautiful and very comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the hot tube that was out on the top level porch and the view was nothing less than spectacular. We hope to come back again in the future.
