The service from american Patriot Getaways was great adn the location is certainly nice. The house was under-stocked for the number of people that it can sleep - especially when it comes to cooking utensils.
Also, the televisions are too heavy for the dressers in many of the bedrooms - they almost tipped over on us several times as our children were taking things in and out of dresser drawers.
Finally, I think it would be a big service to add some sort of internet connectivity to the house. So many things in the National Park and other attractions are "available on the interent" however without internet connectivity that didn't do us any good.
On the positives the beds were great, the kids loved the pool table and air hocky table and we sure enjoyed our trip!!! -

Beautiful cabin with plenty of room. Its not on top of the mountains and the view is not spectacular but its easy to get to. We had a 29 ft RV and was very worried about getting to the cabin. The roads were not too steep or curvy for us to get in and out of. The driveway however was another story. It is steep and we ended up having to park near the raod and walk up. Not a major problem but we were assured when we booked that we would be able to get our RV into the driveway. The location was not far from Serveirville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The place was clean, rooms were comfortable, loved the 2 master suites with jacuzzi tubs. The downstairs bedrooms were nice but small, good for kids not couples. The three downstairs bedrooms share one bathroom and none had a TV in their room. Not ideal for alot of kids to get ready in but good area for them to play around in. Pool table and air hockey was in good working condition. Hot tub on back porch was very relaxing but not all the jets worked. Front porch was big and we enjoyed having coffee out there in the mornings, although not much to see. Kitchen was small for many guest. Tv had plenty of stations to choose from. Gas fireplace was great for warming up and drying out wet gloves and shoes. We stayed in early January and it rained most the time. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a cabin not too high up in the mtns and don't mind not having a view. Which is what we needed.

While the cabin itself is not bad, the stairs are very narrow. The table is right at the stair landing so very narrow space to walk without falling down the stairs. The property is not very secluded. The kitchen was very small but fairly well equipped. The heating was tricky - either freezing downstairs or roasting upstairs. The cabin is also not convenient to any of the local attractions. All of this was tolerable but the inexcusable thing was there was a problem with the plumbing the first night and the manager pretty much had us over a barrel and let us know it! I will never rent with this company again!

We really enjoyed our stay in "Bearly in the Mountains". The cabin was beautiful. I had children ages 2, 8, 18, and 21. There was something for everyone and plenty of room to sneak off for peace and quiet! This is not our first visit with american Patriot Getaways nor will it be our last. Already planning a trip for October, but without the kids!
