If you are Wild at Heart and in need of a mountain getaway than look no further thanthis wonderful log cabin. Boasting lots of extrasNintendo 64, peaceful sounds of a bubbling brook, fully equipped kitchen, satellite TV, VCR, DVD,custom made King size log bed, gas fireplace, Pooltable, large Jacuzzi tub in the master bedroom 4 person hot tub on a covered porch and lotsof mountain charm and lots and lots of seclusion.It doesn't get any more private than this.

My stay at Wild at Heart was wonderful. The cabin was very nice and super clean. We have 3 children and we rented the cabin for a relaxing getaway and it delivered just that. The secluded spot made for an extremely peaceful stay.

Photos look great, but a disappointment in person. Advertised as "secluded", its actually very close to a road with moderate traffic. The cabin was not clean and there was a problem with the water filter system. Water was not fit for drinking or bathing...however, the company moved us to an upgraded cabin at no extra charge for nights 2 and 3 of our 3 night stay. "Angels Place" was fantastic and very clean.

The exterminator came while we were there saying someone had seen a mouse and he wanted to put out bait! We were required to pay that 75$ fee which I felt was unfair and not our responsibility. I would think the rental fee would be enough!

The cabin was not in the cleanliness status we are accustom to with Patriot Getaways. The cabin looked like no one had stayed in it for quite awhile. The exterior and interior was in very dirty condition. Being from a rural area, I am aware of the iron in water - the water was dark red, so there was no filling up the jetted jacuzi tub. We did start to fill up the tub, but it was so bad we stopped. Also, the commodes, sinks, ect. were filthy with dark red stains. The interior was full of cobwebs and a musty smell.

I forget the exact date, but we had such a great time. Our frien told us about american Patriot Getaways, so we gave them a call. They set up everything for us. They asked all the right question and determined our exact needs. It was almost like they knew what we were going through. The cabin had everything we could ever want on a vacation, including pool table and hot tub. We were able to cook out and just take it easy. It was far away from the rest of the world, but close enough to do a miriad of things. Our cabin was on the side of the mountain. We had fun going to the top and walking around. The trees were beautiful with all the fall colors. The best part was being all alone with the love of my life and just being quiet, away from all the stress and hassels of the world around us. I am looking forward to going again. The price was right and boy did we need to get away.
