I have to give the highest recommendation for Great Cabins in the Smokies. This cabin was beautiful and very very clean. I have to tell the story of our check-in. When we got to the place where we would check in we found that there was no one there. We weren't sure what to do at this point. We looked around and eventually found out how we were to check in. We took our information and set off to find our cabin...in the dark. We came to a round cabin and got out and put in the door code. It didn't work. We wondered what we should do so we called the emergency number for the cabins. We left a message, fearing we would end up sleeping in the car. However, within a couple of minutes we had someone on the line that helped us to realize we were at the wrong cabin!! Apparently there were several round cabins in a row! Lol!The person stayed on the phone with us until we were safe and sound inside our cabin.
In my mind I had the impression that we would be out in the middle of nowhere on a dirt path with no one around for miles. That is not the case. There are many cabins close by. However, we went at a good time of the week and there was very little activity. The view was spectacular. The hot tub was amazing.
Again, everything was so nice. The staff was very kind and we couldn't have asked for a nicer honeymoon cabin. Can't wait to come back next year! -

My husband and I spent a week at Hanging Round for our 25th wedding anniversary. The cabin is beautiful and we would highly recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay. The round house as we called it was very nice. It had all the amenities and even a few extras we weren't expecting. The only draw back was the closeness of the other cabins. There was alot of commotion going on outside at other cabins and it didn't seem like we had as much privacy as we had wished for.

We enjoyed our stay at Hanging Round and found the cabin nice, though the bedroom had an odd odor to it when you walked if and had the door shut all day. But in general a really nice place. What I didn't like was that the gas grill canister was completely empty the day we arrived and we had to wait a day to have it filled. Nor, did the wireless work and I had to wait a full 24 hours to have a hot spot dropped off. Lastly, the neighborhood and doors are all on security cameras, which I found to be very unsettling and inhibiting (you couldn't get to the hot tub without passing a camera). Some folks may find that comforting, but I found it invasive and unsettling.
Those were the only negatives, otherwise the cabin is nice, and it is conveniently located. -

We were on our honeymoon. Since it was the offseason, we practically had the entire resort to ourselves. The house was great, in fact, it was practically new and you could tell a lot of thought had gone into the decor. The only negatives, which are very minor, were that the wireless internet didn't work until they brought us a hotspot and the bed was so high you couldn't see the fireplace. Other than that, we would highly recommend "Hanging Round."

We rent a cabin for our family every year around Christmas. This year we originally rented another cabin months ahead of time. The rental company called and cancelled our rental days before our arrival due to a problem with the cabin. So, if anyone has ever stayed in Pigeon Forge during the Christmas holidays, you are aware just how busy it is. Well we searched for two days to locate an available cabin. My wife finally found "Hangin 'Round". She spoke with Great Cabins in the Smokies and they were very accomodating.
Upon our arrival, we didn't know what to expect as we had never stayed in this particular area. I must say that we were pleasantly surprised. We have stayed in the Smokies many many times. But, this cabin was the best that we have ever rented. It was round, but beautifully appointed, clean, spacious, and was only a short drive from town. We loved it so much that we called and extended our stay! And once again, Great Cabins in the Smokies was very accomodating.
We ended up being very thankful that our original rental had cancelled allowing us to find our best cabin yet. Needless to say, we will be renting Hangin 'Round again. And, We hope to one day own a Hangin 'Round of our own!Response from Great Cabins in the Smokies - 01/27/2013

I did a lot of research on cabins in this area, and there are so many and I am sure there are others that are wonderful. But the customer service I received and other reviews really made my decision. The pictures do not do this cabin justice. Just a beautiful cabin..the two of us had plenty of room. The decor was welcoming and I loved that there was a loft with a pool table and so did my husband. The walk in shower in the bedroom was to die for. There was so much room and the shower heads were therapeutic to my aching back. Beautiful leather furniture, 3 bathrooms..a half bath in the laundry room which was great, all inclusive kitchen with everything you need to eat meals there and save some $$. The huge surrounding deck had a hot tub, huge grill, porch swing that faced the view of some of the mountainside and was great to walk on in the early morning with our coffee. There were 2 fireplaces & 3 flat screen TVs. The office for this property is a little far away, but once we got on the road with the directions given, we were able to find the resort where we stayed. It was a great week to go so it was really quiet..and even when others came the cabins were so sound proofed. We had a problem on Sunday nite with the grill being out of propane and our wifi access not working. When I called that night and left message for them, they were up the next morning and took care of our concerns. We decided to stay another night and they were so accommodating in every way. What a great place to go. We will be back. If I had anything negative at all, I could just say some microwave dishes to cook in would be great and hooks to hang clothes for a long stay. We did use the grill often and the kitchen was equipped with all you needed. Great to sit in the kitchen at the table and look out the window when we were eating. These folks give the best customer service. Willing to try other properties with this rental company. Thanks again for a wonderful getaway with my husband.

When I saw the cabin I could not believe my eyes, Its was a mounth dropper, It was equiped with everything you could need for cooking and grilling out on the deck, with a two person table and swing on porch,with a nice view of the mountains, You could tell the owners put alot of thought to make your stay a relaxing and comfortable, The recliners itself makes it easy to relax and watch t.v or just to take a rest after a long day shopping, The bed itself is very relaxing with a walk in shower, tub, fireplace very comfortable, upstairs is very well put toghter with a nice pool table, t.v. with a full bath upstairs with a nice sleeper and personal touches of comforted, very nice love it,The cabin is in a community but very quite, with a very clean pool, zipline for guest to enjoy, The great cabins was very nice to deal with, gave us paper work and we were on the way to a peaceful week, I would highly recommended this cabin ""it a must see cabin loved it""we will be back next year, Great times great Memories and would highly recommend this cabin to famliy and friends

When I saw the cabin we were staying in my mouth dropped. The Cabin was just amazing!!! The pictures just can't do it justice. Was very well equipped with everything we could possibly need, you can tell the owners put a lot of thought and effort into making this a relaxing and comfortable stay. The kitchen itself had everything you need to use to cook, if you decide to eat in. The living room suit was great the recliners itself made it very easy to relax, and watch tv. The shower in the bedroom has two shower heads, was very nice. The bedroom has a jacuzzi tub, fireplace, tv, king size bed that was so very, very comfortable, wished one like that was at home. The upstairs has a sleeper sofa , full bath, tv, beautiful pool table. All the personal touches added the comforts of home. There is a jacuzzi, porch swing, patio set to enjoy also. Thank you so much for the great accomodations, we really appreciated the stay . Five Stars, for sure. Great Memories, great time, looking forward to coming back...I will highly recommend this cabin to my family and friends.

This cabin was just beautiful. Immaculate, new and stocked with almost everything you could possibly need. It was located In a a quiet community of cabin homes with a terrific view and access to a nicely maintained pool. Our only two regrets are that we didn't stay here sooner and that we didn't stay longer. As far as Great Cabins rental service...everything was made as easy as could be with excellent communication from the staff before, during and after the stay. I rented from them site unseen, company unknown and couldn't have been happier. Highly recommended!
