This would have been our fourth time to rent a cabin from american Patroit. We never had a problem until we rented this time. I always call and make reservation over the phone because I want to be sure of what we are renting. We like a private location with not too many other cabins around. We decide to go luxury on the cabin this time, and was excited about the trip. They knew what we wanted and when we got there it wasn't anything what we wanted you could hear the people talking from the other cabins, and the hot tub was facing the road and the other cabins, no view at all no yard the drive way tore the under neath of my car. I call american Patroit to see if we could change cabins and they were very rude. So we went to the office to speak to a manger and the to girls that was there wouldn't let me talk to a manger and said sorry there is nothing we can do, we was willing to pay extra as well. I started to cry because we made a long trip to get there and I told them I wasn't coming back(as if they cared!!!) and we went back to the car and when I looked backed the girls was pointing at me laughing. American Patroit has a Facebook page ,so I went on there and comment. Then I had there attention, and they changed me to a different cabin that was lower quality for a extra $45.00 but we was satisfied with that cabin. It was ashamed we wasted two days dealing with this when they could have done this in the first place. We never had a problem until this time, but as far as us we will not be renting cabins from them. Don't know where we will rent from any suggestions?? But we do love the smokiest mtns.

We were shocked to see that there were roaches in the cabin. We had to bag everything up and put on the table and rinse all the dishes before eating from them. It would have been nice to have received somewhat of a refund but wasn't even offered to us. This was our honeymoon.
The drive way was hard to get into. We had to go up to the next drive and turn around to get into ours. -

My wife and I recently visited the smokey's for our 1 year anniversary. The big bear cub house met and exceeded all expectations I could've had. We had a blast and american patriot getaways made it super easy. Will definitely be going back.

Everything we needed was there. Was a really great set-up. My 9, 7 & 5 year olds had an absolute blast, as did we.
Only con was the floors could have used a better mopping:( -

Nice place, everything was nice, the only bad is the the playroom is in the main floor instead the kitchen but other than that it is very nice

We enjoyed Big Bear Club House very much and will plan another trip back to the same cabin. It was very clean, comfortable, beautiful and extremely private.
The only downfalls were that there were no closets or dressers to unpack and hang up or put away clothing, and the driveway is very steep with no where to turn around so you have to back down it very carefully to get back out to the road. If you dont mind living out of suitcases all over the floors of the bedrooms and your a great driver then this is the perfect cabin! -

We enjoyed our stay in Tennessee, the cabin was decorated nice, centrally located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. There was plently for the kids to do like play pool, the hot tub and hiking and fishing near the cabin. We had some trouble with the televisions, the one in the bedroom wouldn't work but that was ok and several remotes for the other tv's that you would need a manual to figure out. The surround sound remote had dead batteries could not replacements. Would of liked to have some more paper supplies and a replacement trash bag liner. Things that you don't really want to buy when your on a vacation. Traffic wasn't near as bad as we had expected for Memorial weekend. Overall we enjoyed the experience.

The cabin was awkwardly placed wich meant you had to drive past the driveway, turnaround and then enter the drivway...the actual cabin was clean, and well maintained. Would have loved a dart board in the game room... One negative was there was absolutely no view :( I loved that it seemed directly between pidgeon forge and Gatlinburg. The kitchen was very user friendly :)

The house was beautiful. It was well kept and very clean. We plan to stay again in the Fall. Driveway was a little difficult to get in and out of but does not deter me from returning. I liked the ease of check in and no need to be on a timeline to make it to an office to get keys.

We have stayed with american Patriot Getaways for the past several years (various cabins). This was our only bad experience. When night fell and everyone was in bed the critters would scamper and run through the rafters. It was hard to get to sleep with all the noise even with the TV turned up (thumps & bumps). We moved my husband to the top floor and my daughter and I took the 2nd floor bedroom. Us girls were a little creeped out!!! My husband wished I had wrote this sooner. He believes the animals will ruin the house if left to have run of the house. I hate to complain since our past experiences have been so enjoyable.

The place was fantastic! It was very nice and clean. Plenty of space and beautiful cabin and location. Just be careful arriving after sunset...it is difficult to find your way up the mountain and find the cabin when it is dark.
