My favorite cabin of all time!! Stayed in several cabins in the Smokies but this is far and beyond our favorite! Beautiful inside and outside as well! Clean, comfortable, beautifully equipped. Decks opening onto the streams from bedrooms and then lights for stream and night were fantastic. A wonderful place to come and relax!!! Our dream cabin in our favorite spot!!! Just to note however, we hsve stayed in a couple of cabins by Great Cabins in the Smokies and they have all been very nice...this one just happens to be amazing...mainly due to location.

Streamsong is a beautiful cabin, very cozy and welcoming. We were a little surprised by the snow and ice we woke up to on Sunday morning, but were able to get down the mountain by afternoon thanks to my husband's use of the sand box on the road. I loved the fireplace. The one downside to the cabin is how soft and apparently old the mattresses were on both beds. A firmer mattress on at least one of the beds would be a plus. We were a little disappointed when my husband left a message with the emergency number asking for advice on weather conditions Monday evening and did not get a return phone call. All in all, we had a wonderful visit and will most likely plan to return to this cabin when the weather is nicer.

We have stayed at Streamsong several times. We really enjoy sitting on the porch and just relaxing and listening to the water flowing through the creek. It is really quiet and peaceful. We will probably stay here next time we. We brought our 3 grandson's with us the first time we stayed here and they really enjoyed it to. My oldest grandson and I picked it out. They really enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. Everything at the cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The thing I liked the least was the short time I had to spend there.

From booking the cabin online, to locating the cabin upon arriving after hours, and getting charges explained at the rental office, the entire process was smooth and hassle free. Although I kept expecting something to go wrong, it never did. The cabin was absolutely wonderful. It was clean and very well maintained. The atmosphere was relaxing and overall more than I expected. We definitely will visit again. I would recommend this rental company and cabin to everyone. Next time we will fly up, rent a car, and have more time at the cabin and area.

This wasn't our first stay at Streamsong, we've been there several times and have always enjoyed it. It's very attractive and has everything you need and the beds are very comfortable. The jacuzzi in the master suite has great jets, one of the better ones I've been in. The outside hot tub was so over-chlorinated we couldn't use it, caused our eyes to burn and we started coughing from the fumes and had to get out within minutes. That was the only drawback. Great Cabins staff are friendly and helpful.

This cabin was perfect! We decided to look for a place to stay for New Year's Eve at the last minute and we were afraid all we would find were the cabins no one else wanted. Not the case!! We loved Streamsong and were delighted by the porch and deck over the stream (the stream is even lit for night viewing!). The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and the grill on the deck is great. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone who is looking to stay in the Sevier County area as it is close to Pigeon Forge but far enough out to feel like you are well out of the city. We are already planning to come back in warmer weather to enjoy more of the stream and views!

This rental was very beautiful and very serene. My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We really felt one with the nature with the boardwalk that goes out from the back side of the cabin and ends against the mountain. The stream was a little dried up but had enough of a trickle to positively add to our experiance. The lighting of the stream and deck provided a great ambience.
Our experiance with the rental company was great from reservation to checking in.
However, I was dissapointed that they came by to do some maintenance and did not try calling us first to approve. We were not at the cabin at the time but had not been gone too long. We know this from a tag they left on the front door of a maintenance action of installing a catch to the trash bin on the back deck. It did need to be done because a medium size bear cub had visited the cabin a few times and I had to keep all garbage inside to protect the bear. Even though the tag said they performed this action, it was not done.
A few things I would have liked to have had was ice maker to be turned on before we got there. After a long drive and stores back at the bottom of the mountain, it would have been nice to have ice in the fridge on day of arrival. Second thing, we could not use the grill because it was filthy and had no handle to open the grill. However, when I checked out, they said that they were going to replace the grill all together.
All and all, it was a great cabin. It was a great get away and would definitely stay there again. -

We had stayed in many other cabins over the years,
but i have to say this was the most enjoyable.
The only fault's that we had was the parking, and the decks were needing some attention as they were quite dirty.
I must say when we brought this to the attention of the Great Cabins folks, they quickly took care of the cleaning.
The folks at Great Cabins were wanderful.
Thanks for a great time, and we look forward to staying here again.

This was a great experience for both myself and my family. The cabin was in a great location for a visit to pigeon forge or gatlinburg and just far enough in the mountains. Inside the cabin was a great design and enough to sleep two adults and two children comfortably. The staff at the office was outstanding and catered to your every need. If I had to choose again where to go in Tn it would be this cabin.

We stayed at Streamsong for our first family vaction and must I say it was the most beautiful cabin I have ever seen. Left on 10/08/2009 for a stay in September 2009
We had a wonderful week staying at the Streamson cabin in the Smokies. Check in was quick and easy with perfect directions to the cabin. The accomodations were extremely clean and beautifully appointed. Everything we could possibly need was already there. The furniture was comfortable and attractive. The beds were great, too! The cabin was among many trees, so you need to enjoy the darkness - not much sun breaks through even on the brightest day. Plan on reading, games or using the internet because the tv is a bit iffy. Because of the multitude of trees, the reception is sporatic. For movies on dvd the tvs are great, but they do not navigate menus. You can press start and they will play.
Overall, we had a great week and came home relaxed and refreshed. -

Panama City, FLRelaxing, peacefull, tranquil and deafeningly quiet, all at the
Left on 09/25/2009 for a stay in September 2009
The cabin is very well appointed and nicely laid out so as to allow more than sufficient area outside (the cabin) while still remaining under the protected porch roof during the rain storms that happened to pass through the area during our stay. The size, amenities, clenliness and functionality of the cabin were excellent.
The sounds of the stream located behind the cabin were as wonderful to listen to in the evening as their view was to look at during the daytime or under the added overlook lighting at night.
The interior accoustics of the cabin affords the complete absence of noise. Surprisingly a deafening quiet. Those so lucky to stay here really do get the best of both worlds.
Parking at streamsong however is at a premium and not what I would refer to as motorcycle friendly for the un-initiated mountain road riders.
The parking area is large enough for one car sized vehicle or one "dresser" motorcycle but due to the cabin being located on a private road which is at such a steep angle, I would be concerned about recommending this cabin for motorcycle travelers who lack the experience of mountain road riding, manuvering and parking.
Would we stay here again? You bet we would! We look forward to it. The only problem is, it will be another year before we get a chance.
The management personnel who are in charge of the cabin rentals are folks who are very personable, plesant and professional, who treat you as an acquaintance and friend, not just a customer. This, in conjunction with the cabin and its location plus the pleasant and peaceful surrounings are what makes it worth it to us.

Left on 09/16/2009 for a stay in September 2009
The weekend in Streamsong cabin was wonderful, and the highlight was the deck with the lighted walkway stretching across the stream. Really enjoyed the porch swing back there. It was great to get away from the rat-race business world and ride our Harley with friends - survived Dragontail run 2 times. The cabin was all we hoped for - very clean, great amenities, and the beds were so comfortable (slept like a baby). Lots of extras in the kitchen and working grill - didn't have time to use them, but would be great for a longer stay. The only minor drawbacks were TV related - (1) the living room Direct TV happened to freeze up regularly on ESPN - made the UT-UCLA game a bit of a pain - but the rest of the channels worked great. (2) In the master bedroom the child-lock was on the TV and nobody could give me a code to unlock.
Overall, excellent - we definitely would stay here again and again and are planning another trip here for the winter. -

Left on 09/10/2009 for a stay in September 2009
I have in the past rented cabins in TN over long vacations, but nothing like what we stayed in over this past Labor day. I was able to get the reservation last minute so I was kind of nervous of what I would really find, but the pictures of StreamSong on the Great Cabins website do not even come close to doing it justice.
It was the cleanest cabin we've ever stayed in. It was well stocked with kitchen essentials. Everything operated properly and was well maintained. There was no ridiculous list of expectations of you before your departure.
The grounds were quiet except for the sound of the stream along the back side.
The decor is meticulous and lovely. The beds were comfy. We needed a break over the weekend and that is EXACTLY what we got.
It is also very convenient to Cades Cove, the caverns and Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. There are conveniences nearby and a Kroger grocery within a few miles toward Pigeon forge.
Great place to rent, it was a little more expensive than the others, but worth every penny for such a well maintained and serviced cabin. -

This cabin is one of the nicest ones we've stayed in. We loved sitting on the back deck at night watching the cascading stream that lights up with a flip of the switch. This cabin is beyond anyones expectations. My family & sister's family stayed here for a week & it is a week that we will never forget. The stream was so peaceful. My eyes wondered constantly inside the cabin with the wonderful decor. The beds were a dream, so comfortable. The jacuzzi was awesome, along with porches. We hardley left the cabin. We went to Cades Cove, Pigeon Forge, & Gatlinburg but couldn't wait to get back home, which we called Streamsong for a week. At night we would turn off all the lights outside & watch the lightning bugs. You really are one with nature here. We even saw a bear. It came up to the little walkway where all the benches are and popped it's head up. We have it on video, it was so cool. I would reccomend anyone to stay here. I wanted a place that was secluded & private & I couldn't have asked for more. I definitly want to go back someday soon. It felt just like home!!

My sister and her husband and my husband and I just spent a glorious 4 days in the Stream Song cabin. My bro-in-law and I found the website and after some debating back and forth took a leap of faith and agreed on the cabin. As we drove closer and closer to Townsend and saw all the rental cabins we began to get a bit leerie. We weren't sure what we were in for. We went to the check in site and were greeted warmly and given directions to the cabin. When we drove up the mountain and first saw the outside we were pleased. When we walked inside the cabin we were awe struck! The 4 of us were like little kids in a candy store. The cabin was more than any of us ever dreamed of. The cleanliness, the decor, the homeyness, EVERYTHING was absolutely perfect! The stream running out back was so relaxing. At night we all sat in front of the fireplace and just were amazed even after 4 days. As soon as we got home, we got our calendars out and made reservations immediately for next year. Just 51 more weeks and we will be back. We can't thank Great Cabins in the Smokies enough for their professionalism. It was an excellent first time experience of renting a cabin and we highly recommend this agency. Ample towels were provided and the washer and dryer hook-up insured that we had clean linens. The well stocked kitchen had everything a cook could possibly want even though we didn't waste anytime cooking. :) The comfortable furniture made it easy to nestle down with a good book and relax. The interior decorators didn't cut any corners when it came to decorating. It was absolutely perfect. I can't put into words how awesome our 4 days there was. We are going back for a full 7 days next year. We just had a wonderful, wonderful Spring Break! Our time in Wears Valley was just what the doctor ordered for rest and relaxation!

Our stay at Streamsong could not have been more wonderful. As seniors in college, we decided to kick-back and relax for our last Spring Break. Six friends arrived at Streamsong, and we didn't want to leave. We cooked, played pool and games, relaxed on the wrap around porch, the beautiful nature walkway, and of course in the hot tub. We were completely alone, and not bothered by any other cabin renters or tourists. We hiked to the Chimney Tops one day and spent the rest of our time just enjoying the beautiful cabin. The bedrooms were huge, and everything was very clean and well prepared for guests. I hope we can all return sometime soon! If we do, it will definitely be to Streamsong.
