Miguel is a great landlord and this apartment (on the main floor below his family apartment) located in the alameda Hercules is wonderfully placed to enjoy and mingle with the locals in the square (huge!) - a wonderful melange of families with kids and dogs at cafe/bar tables in the square or alongside, for breakfast, lunch, tapas, or just a cafe con leche or the prolific gin and tonic - almost always served in a large goblet with the gin bottle brought to the table for pouring. Around 2 dozen cafes surround the alameda, and within a few blocks are several outstanding tapas restaurants - our top 3: La azotea, Duo Tapas and Eslava.
And the major shopping, sights, and museums/galleries are a nice walk down the street, or bus or taxi are efficient and reasonable.
Do not try to drive around this area! We drove here and Miguel wisely recommended that we put the car in the underground parking and take bus, taxi and train for in and around Seville and for points further out like Cordoba and Carmona, Jerez, even Granada.
All in all a great experience...1 star lacking due to a loft instead of a an enclosed bedroom. The 2 couples would have preferred the 2-bedroom, with a patio, but it was already booked - that would have been perfection, but one can't have it all, and the apartment in those surroundings made for a most enjoyable visit. -

We received excellent assistance from the owner/operater Miguel, accommodating us in this wonderful apartment at short notice and was thankfully available for directions late into the night. He speaks good English which was helpful for additional travel advice in this lovely city, although there were travel brochures and books available. This apartment slept our family of 5 adults easily, was compact but with sufficient natural light. There were also puzzles and board games available for the idle teenager which added impetus to our family life whilst on holiday. It was well appointed in a central location to good shopping, Plaza's, markets and restaurants. It felt a very safe and family-friendly area, a further bonus being only a short walk to prominent attractions of Cathedral and Town Hall. The apartment is located just off the alameda de Hercules which is a very vibrant street with many bar and restaurant options available. The cost was also very reasonable.

Een goed uitgerust appartement in een rustige straat net achter het gezellige alameda de Hercules plein. Goed gelegen net buiten het toeristische deel van de stad in een authentieke wijk van Sevilla, tussen de Spanjaarden dus. Prima service van de eigenaar. Duidelijke communicatie in het Engels. Wat erg fijn is, is dat er veel basis spullen in het appartement aanwezig zijn zoals voldoende toiletpapier, zeep en toen wij er waren ook zout, peper, olie in het keukendeel.
Keukentje klein maar wat mij betreft toereikend voor een stadsappartement. Genoeg winkels, ook bakker voor een vers ontbijt 's morgens, in de directe nabijheid van het appartement.
Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar! -

This apartment is a really good value if you travel with a family. There's a separate master bedroom and a loft for kids which they'd love. Don't plan it for elders though because of the steep stairs. We travelled with two kids and a granny and we all were pretty comfortable there. There's a fridge, washer, baby cot, coffee maker etc - everything you may need for a family stay.
The owner was very helpful. When they heard that our pram was lost on the plane (never wish anyone to have this experience!) they helped us out with a pram and a baby carrier and that was a lifesaver.
The weather was hot so I can say that the aircon is very good and efficient.
The patio is very small and only for decoration, you cannot sit there or even dry your clothes (there's no wind).
Overall our stay there was very nice because of the owner's attitude, the quality of the apartment and the location.
Alameda de Hercules is not a touristy place, but it's popular with locals, and it says it all. There's a nice restaurant on the corner we particularly loved(Las Columnas?), and plenty of other places (if you can work our their working hours!), and an italian ice-creamery with amasing ice-cream. It's a nice place to walk around any time of the day, it's live and full of people.
The only downside is that the nearest supermarket is within 10 minutes walk.
The city centre is actually not very far off if you wish to walk (driving is tricky and therefore takes longer). If you are into shopping, El Corte is 5 minutes walk too.
On a Friday night it was pretty loud outside till morning, but it did not bother us.
I will recommend the apartment to anyone with a family looking for value, and who does not mind staying a bit off touristy areas and city centre. -

We highly recommend this apartment. It is modern, very clean and central. It can be tricky to find the first time. Narrow driving street. Once there everything is close, safe, and fun.

I stayed at the wonderful upstairs floors of the Malhara Sevillaorange townhouse. It was excellently appointed, with a washer dryer, modern facilities, even a good strong blowdryer for hair! The location is outstanding - just a couple blocks from all the main sites including the alcazar and the Cathedral. The a/c worked well, and the little outdoor patio was a welcome respite. Even in the heat of july it was possible to stay comfortable (it's a dry heat.) Teh apartment was kept clean, convenient to get in and out of (though quite vertical, and anybody with knee or foot problems should note that you will be climbing lots of stairs). The caretakers are attentive and accommodating. it was also great value. A wonderful break.

My friends and I rented this apartment during Semana Santa for three nights. About two weeks before we were scheduled to arrive one of the owners emailed me to tell me the confirmation email she had sent me a month ago had the wrong dates. At first she made no concessions (like apologizing or offering to put me up in one of the other properties). She then offered for my friends and I to stay at one of the properties on the back end of our stay which I told her was not possible as the rest of our vacation was already planned. Finally she decided to allow my friends and I to stay at the other apartment.
After that whole debacle things were great! My friends and I got to stay at the apartment and the loft. The apartment has an amazing patio that's perfect for sitting and drinking wine! We could hear the noise from the alamaeda on the patio but not once we shut the doors to the apartments. The kitchen was standard eurpoean size as was the bathroom in the apartment. The bedrooms were comfortable. The loft is a symphony in Ikea. Small but more than adequate and clean. The location is great. The alamaeda de Hercules was a really neat place to stay. We are very glad that you were happy with the final solution for your stay. To clarify ,all of our correspondence talked about 2 nights for 4 people. From the moment we realized there was a mistake with the dates in our last email (that said 3 nights instead of 2), we made every effort to solve the situation, offering you options until we came up with one that worked for you and in the end you were able to stay on the dates you wanted for the price of 2 nights (and we didn't charge you for the extra person who stayed either!). We are very glad that we were able to work it out in the end and that the effort put in resulted in an enjoyable stay for you in our apartments.

We found this loft through trip advisor. We spent one month in Sevilla with our four month old baby. Our travel plan was to find a nice spot somewhere in Spain and set up shop for a month and enjoy some family time before my wife went back to work. It is always hard to know what something will be like before getting there or whether the area is exactly what you are looking for. This property satisfied it all for us. The owners, Leslie and Miguel, were great throughout the month we were there, making sure we had everything we needed. The location was exactly what we were looking for. It is just off the Hercules de almada, a very large square skirted with numerous cafes. Sevilla is very accessible to get around. If you were only in Sevilla for a couple of days and wanted to be in the heart of the tourist area, this place is probably a 15-20 min walk from all the big sights. We wandered out the door each morning and found several amazing spots to enjoy our coffee and people watch. In a month, we didn't get to all the restaurants that we wanted to. There are lots. The loft is clean, modern, and spacious. There is a washer for your clothes. Despite being close to a lot of bars and cafes it was very quiet. I would highly recommend this for any travelers who are looking for a home base while staying in Sevilla.

we found a nice apartment with all the facilities needed for our 3 night stay in Seville. You can find there a lot of information about where to go and what to do. it is in walking distance to the old city and in a very nice location, surrounded by nice restaurants and bars nearby. much better then any expensive hotel you might find.

This was a great apartment. Located within walking distance to everything (including the super market).. Stayed here with my family (2 kids 13 & 8) over new years eve. Loft might not be ideal for families with little children. Very clean, modern apartment in a safe neighborhood.

Our visit couldn´t have gone more smoothly. Ths beautiful apartment was spotless and the hosts very helpful. It is located just off the Alameda Plaza with restaurants, bars and every possible amenity. We would recommend this location to people of any age.
