    Additional Location Information

MACARENA (Seville centre) is a district full of local activity and colour, located in the northern part of the historic centre of Seville. Partially enclosed by a section of Seville’s ancient city wall, Macarena overflows with character stemming from its working-class history.

There is the wonderful fresh food market on Feria Street, as well as several bakeries, grocery stores, tapas bars and restaurants all nearby. The vibrant Alameda de Hércules is a recently renovated tree-lined square, popular with families during the day and with those who enjoy night-life after dark. The Alameda has many cafés, modern terrace bars and clubs which stay open late into the night.

Heading north you'll find the Macarena gate, within a long stretch of the original city defensive walls, and the Basilica of the Macarena, home of one of Seville's most venerated religious images of the Virgin Mary.

    Highlights:

    - Food Market at Feria Street
    - Alameda de Hércules
    - Basilica of the Macarena
    - Medieval city walls

A great place to experience life in Seville.

Left on 05/15/2013 for a stay in April 2013

Spacious one bedroom apartment with plenty of room for two and also has a sofa bed in the living area along with a built in wardrobe adjacent to the kitchenette so good option for up to 4.

Good size living area with TV, sofa, round meals table and kitchenette with fridge, convection oven and hotplates. The kitchenette had everything we needed for our short stay. There was no toaster, but convection oven has a grill setting.

The washing machine is shared with the other apartment, which is not as convenient as having one in the apartment. There are drying lines on the roof terrace, so clothes dry quickly. Good exercise getting from the washing machine on the ground floor up to the lines on the third floor. There is also a shared iron and ironing board

The apartment has a small bathroom but with a good size shower (no bath) with good hot water pressure.

The bedroom is a good size. My wife found the bed and pillow a bit hard, but I thought they were fine. The WiFi connection was excellent. Supermarkets and fruit and veg stores are nearby. Price included a breakfast at a nearby café with coffee and toastada to start the day.

The first floor apartment is noisy with pedestrian and traffic noise (as per city location) but windows are double glazed and bedroom is at rear of apartment and fairly quiet especially with internal doors closed (except for on the Saturday night when there was rowdy pedestrian noise until 5am which affected our sleep).

It is about a 25 minute walk to the cathedral and alcazar but Seville is flat so it is not strenuous. If you wander off the main route, it is easy to get lost in the winding narrow streets and lanes if you are not familiar with Seville, so I recommend getting the free good map from a ti or use GPS.

Markus was very helpful and can recommend some good places to eat nearby. He organised a taxi for us as we were leaving early on Sunday morning. The office is only a couple of minutes walk away which is convenient if you need anything.

Overall this is a clean spacious apartment in the Macarena district of Seville, which offers good value for money. The street noise was a bit of an issue for us but I think that will always be the case for an inner city apartment. A great place to experience life in Seville.

Great place to unwind for a week

Left on 03/21/2013 for a stay in December 2012

The location of this apartment is close to good places to eat, shop and relax. The park down the street has a number of dining options. It is a small walk to the main tourist area but that is what we liked about this location. Felt as if you are part of the city instead of visiting for a week. The pillows are a bit thin but the staff were great in meeting any requests we had.

      Great neat apartment

Left on 11/14/2012 for a stay in November 2012

Nice apartment, very clean, and very handy for the best bars and restaurants of alameda de Hercules.

There is also a roof terrace so perfect for the summer.

The apartment was very private too.

The staff were very helpful and made sure I had everything I needed.

The Veo apartments offices are 1 minute away which is a bonus.

I would definitely book this apartment again when I return to Seville.

      outstanding

Left on 11/02/2012 for a stay in October 2012

Markus and the whole team at veo apartments in Seville were very helpful and hospitable. They gave us excellent guidance on things to do and see including the best flamenco show. The relator apartment was lovely with all amenities. Very comfortable, quiet at night and we enjoyed the terrace as well. The location was excellent and we walked to all the sights. Food markets nearby with very friendly locals. We would recommend this apartment to anyone interested in a holiday spot that gives you a taste of living among the locals.

Lovely spacious apartment perfect for a couple + a friend

Left on 10/28/2012 for a stay in September 2012

This was the second time we booked with Sevilla5 apartments and the 2nd time we stayed in the Macarena neighbourhood. Again, we were not disappointed with the apartment we booked (our last one was Feria 80 which was also great) - it was immaculately presented, luxurious retreat from the streets for siesta time. Great atmosphere overlooking a lively street and sunset views from the roof terrace with homemade tinto de veranos in hand was a bonus. Especially great for us was the separate sleeping places here - a sofa bed with built in robe for our friend in the loungeroom and a private bedroom for us down the other end of the hall. We loved coming and going from here (which we did often - such a convenient location)...and a trip to buy bread and wine literally takes 2 minutes total! Friendly staff, wifi connection, no hassle included breakfast...we will be back just as soon as we can get out of australia again! Thank you :)

Beautifully done apartment in the real Seville

Left on 03/20/2012 for a stay in March 2012

This is a fantastic apartment with perhaps the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Super quiet. Beautiful furnishings. Looks just like the photo. A15-minute walk from the cathedral and alkazar, via the amazing new Parasol. The walk down Feria takes you through Seville's main shopping district. You see how the locals shop (and my lord do they ever shop!) Also, several great restaurants nearby, including the must-visit La Mata, just a stone's throw away off the Hercules square. I would stay at this apartment again in a heartbeat.
