Great apartment in a convenient location. The apartment met all expectations and is exactly as described. Excellent communication with the owner--she's very attentive and prompt, easy to reach. We loved the roominess, airy and bright unit. Highly recommend it!

Although it is necessary to catch a taxi (RMB 15 to 20) if you want to visit some of the main areas of Shanghai (the Bund etc), this is a great place to stay. It is like having your own place in Shanghai, your own kitchen, 2 rooms with comfy large beds and 2 bathrooms. You can prepare your own meals in the kitchen or head off to the many great restaurants not too far away. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

I found this place on Tripadvisor after spending tens of hours looking for apartments and hotels in Shanghai. I was traveling with three other guys with the possibility of having 1 more guest stay with us on one of the 4 days that we were going to be there. My buddies and I didn't mind sharing beds so instead of getting two hotel rooms with two doubles each, we decided to go with an apartment style accommodation so we have a place to relax and hang out during the day. The location of the apartment is fantastic, you can get to the popular bar area in the French Concession within minutes. Shanghai is not that big and you can pretty much get to most places by cab for Rmb12-25. You can also get to the Jin'an airport express bus station for Rmb12 and take the bus to the Pudong airport for Rmb23. If you're traveling with 2-4 people this is a good place to consider because you can feel 'at home' and do laundry as well. The rooms are clean and wireless internet is fast and reliable. We couldn't really ask for more.
The only downside to this is that you have to pay extra to get room service and the drier/washer takes 3-4 hours to do a small load of laundry instead of 2 hours max for a big load of laundry in the us. Other than that, you're good to go.
Cindy, the owner of the apartment, is extremely helpful. She made me a list of places to see and restaurants to eat on her own time and she answered a lot of my questions before, during, and after my stay via Skype, email, and phone. She also has an assistant in Shanghai who will answer your questions. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai -

After fruitlessly searching for a good value in hotel accommodation in Shanghai during the Expo, I booked this apartment only a few weeks before our trip to China. The pictures and description were remarkable; a two-bedroom apartment, conveniently located in the French Concession, and on a high floor with a view of the Shanghai cityscape. Just about everything was as good as advertised, with the added bonus of a very helpful house manager who filled us in on local details and arranged a cab to take us to the airport. The location was convenient, near the boutiques of the French Concession and a reasonable walk to the Jiangsu and Chengsu metro stations. Overall a great experience that I highly recommend.

This apartment is really nice, even by Western standard. Our family felt at home here. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped. Everywhere is kept very clean by the semi-weekly cleaning service provided. We loved "street strolling" in the French Concession. Subway line 2 is 15 minutes' walk away. Subway line 1, 7 and 10 are 20+ minutes' walk. Both Cindy and Judy are very efficient and helpful.

Went to Shanghai to catch the Expo with a friend and found this apartment at the last minute - what a find it was! The apartment was absolutely beautiful and very safe, the view was incredible (both night and day), Judy was able to recommend many great restaurants in the area for the meals we hadn't yet planned, the apartment had available all the necessary electric appliances we could ever have used.
The apartment is located in the French Concession, a short walk from many of the 'scenic walking tours,' and a few other tourist spots, as well as some top bars and restaurants. The only reason for the 4 stars for location instead of 5 is that it's a bit of a drive to the Bund/Oriental Pearl area, where many of the very nicest restaurants, bars and clubs are, but that didn't bother us at all, and actually meant that the surrounding area was less crowded.
If traveling to Shanghai, you should definitely stay here! -

We stayed at this apartment for ten days. It was a great place, a home away from home, in a wonderful location on the edge of the French Concession. The metro is a few blocks away as are grocery stores, produce markets, restaurants, and bars. In super-sized Shanghai, the French Concession is quite livable. From the apartment, Changle Road, Fuxing Road, and the others are nearby. Shopping in the small fashionable boutiques is also good.
The building is in a gated condo community and has a door-person who can help hail a taxi or order take-out. Views from the twenty-eighth floor apartment reveal temples, skyscrapers, and the streets below. There is a balcony.
The on-site caretaker was wonderful. She showed us all around the neighborhood, pointing out the all the essentials and was very responsive to questions we had during our stay. She also arranged train tickets for a day trip to Suzhou. We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to a friend.

This apartment is very comfortable, spacious, surrounded by windows, every room filled with sun light and it's extremely convenient. Everything is right downstairs within walking distance, massage places, restaurants, cafes, starbucks, convenient stores, Tesco supermarket, banks, and it is always easy to catch a cab or call front desk via intercom, they'd call us to go down when cab arrives. The apartment's local contact person is also very helpful and responsive to every need. Both bedrooms are very spacious with comfortable bedding. The balcony has a great view of the French Concession tree lines. The building also has a nice courtyard at the entrance and a garden in the back. This apartment is way better than expected with hotel quality service, I highly recommended and would definitely stay again in the near future.
