We love Shaver Lake but we didn't love this cabin the carpet is so dirty our little grand child's feet walking bare footed in the cabin were black on the bottoms and the show floor hated to put them in it. The fireplace didn't work the main light in the kitchen was out had to almost cook in the dark. The only nice thing about the cabin was the big widow view. Go to shaver lake but don't stay in this place!

Enjoyed everything about our stay in the Boline cabin. It has everything to make vacation easy (cable tv, laundry, dishwasher, microwave) but still feels like a mountain cabin. The property was very clean - never even saw a bug in the house! We had several teenagers with us and wanted to be close to both town and the water. The lake is probably a good ten minute walk, but very doable for active kids. We stayed Mon-Fri and the area was very quiet. Though no campfires are allowed near the cabins, it is a quick and easy walk/drive down to the day use picnic area for an evening campfire. We were not even charged a day use fee! The service we received was great. We elected the linen service at the last minute (literally the day we went up the hill) and found it well worth it. Every question or need we had was responded to expediently. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and utensils (electric griddle, toaster, muffin pans, etc) and easy to cook in. Bring fresh fruit and veggies with you. The grocery stores in Shaver are not well stocked in either. The cabin has games, puzzles, horse shoe pit (we brought our own horse shoes), extra blankets, some cleaning items, propane bbq (they fill propane for you) and patio furnishings. All in all a great experience. We will definitely be back!

The house was well equipped for our family of 7. Plenty of space with a large living room & good sized kitchen. The place was very clean and everything functioned properly but the decor could use a face lift. Looks like it has never been remodeled since it was build in the 60's or early 70's. The lighting throughout is low and the ventilation in the living room is poor. Loved the windows and view but having the ability to open some up would have been nice. Having two bathrooms was a plus but wish the upstairs had a shower as well. The outside decks were great but parking was tough with two vehicles and a small boat trailer. Overall, my family enjoyed the stay and that is what matters to me.

We had an enjoyable time, boating, hiking and just enjoying time with the family. Accomodations were perfect, well maintained, and the weather was great. You couldn't have asked for anything better. This was our first time at Shaver Lake and it will not be the last.

My Stay at this cabin was the best yet. The cabin was well stocked with everything I needed and was so cozy. The hugh windows were the best. It actually snowed while i was there and the big windows had the perfect view. the beds were cozy and overall I will love to stay and rent this cabin again!

Really enjoyed our stay there. There were only 3 of us and things would have been different with a larger group. The upstairs shared bathroom only had a tub, no shower. The downstairs master bathroom had a shower. Lots of blankets and pillows if needed. Easy to find. Good parking. No snow shovel. New appliances. Well equipped kitchen. Lighting bad over dinner table and other table. Couldn't use for games etc at night. Beautiful windows for the daytime. Very interesting layout.

The Hill-Dodd-Fagundes-Menezes Cabin Trip 2010
Hanford, CAGreat place to stay in East Village
Left on 02/10/2010 for a stay in January 2010
We had a great trip. The cabin is large and stays pretty warm. There is room to play in the snow near the cabin and is located close to town. The carpets need to be changed so not good for crawlers and the dining light is dim; but we managed by being creative with the lamps. Overall we would stay again.
