You will love this very nice, bright, newer Village home. It has nice, comfortable furnishings and lots of windows. It is walking distance to town, and under a quarter of a mile to Dorabella Cove, which is a beautiful cove at Shaver Lake. This is one of our more popular cabins. DVD player. 20" TV in living room.

My boyfriend and live in Ventura, California. We had business in Fresno and he surprised me by booking The Vervoorn Cabin at Shaver Lake.
While I knew we were going to a cabin, I had never been to Shaver Lake before so I was very excited.
When we arrived I loved the open feel of the floorplan. The deck and the views of the surrounding areas were so refreshing. I loved the loft. The amenities and comforts of home with a flat screen TV and satellite. We watched our Dvds on the DVD player while we sat by the wood burning stove. It was so relaxing.
It was nice to have those comforts of home such as a dishwasher, washer and dryer.
The cabin has many extras in case you forget such as; extra blankets, pillows and some pantry items. You really only need dish soap and hand soap when you check into The Vervoorn Cabin.
The Staff...
Immpeccable. Extremely friendly, helpful and they can even reserve your boat and watercraft for the day with a discount.
If you are looking for a beautiful cabin in Shaver Lake this one us it. You can walk down to town for a slice of pizza at Shaver Lake Pizza or you can take a nice hike down to Dorabella Cove...you just have to remember, you must hike back up.
Its beautiful. The staff is customer oriented and Shaver Lake is fantastic getaway.
We will be back.

We loved the home. Wish the snow had been cleared from the driveway to accommodate both our cars. parking issue. location was great. amenities were very nice. wish there was another TV. We had a great time. Will definitely go again.

We arrived at night and were so appreciative to the rental company for turning the interior and exterior lights on. Very nice touch! The house was very clean and comfortable. Fans and ceiling fans throughout the house helped circulate the air just fine. I don't want to be critical of small details, as I wouldn't want someone coming into my home and picking it apart either. However, if I could suggest.. the patio needs more chairs. It's such a nice patio and it would be lovely to sit outside at night and listen to the sounds of the woods. There is only a picnic bench, which isn't very comfortable to 'kick-back' in. Maybe some nice lounge chairs?? Other than that, we loved it and would definitely rent this house again. It was reasonably priced, clean, and close to town and lake. We have rented through Shaver Lake Vacation Rentals before and appreciate their low fees, and excellent service! We go to their website first when considering a trip up to Shaver. Thanks for a great experience!

Love to stay at Verv Cabin it is near the town and near our own little discovered snow park just a walk down the road and when there is snow we sled right off the side of the house while us adults just relax and watch the kids sleding

I totally recommend this rental home. It's very spacious and loaded with everything a home would have. Are family had an awesome time and we plan on going back very soon. The staff is very good they offer great service.

The office staff was very cordial and patient as this was our first time renting a home for vacation.
Upon arrival the home was very clean and had a cozy feeling!
I did not realize all that it had, brought up some cookware and the house had plenty! We called for trash service and the came right away! The location is perfect corner lot big windows! The heating worked well didn't have to use it much as the house keeps warm!
My Family had a very nice stay we enjoyed it immensely! And we would recommend Uncle Toms Cabin to our family and friends! We are planning to rent again!! Thank you and God Bless

There are a few things that need to be repaired. The upstairs bathroom door could not unlock from the inside. The downstairs bathroom towel rod had just a patch over a hole where the rod had been before. No broom or vacuum bags so we could sweep up during the week. The twin beds are not very comfortable, even for kids. Couch and love seat need to be replaced.

We rented two houses and had two campsites. The other house was right down the street from this one. Both houses were perfect for our needs. Would go back in a minute and would rent both houses again.

Great place to stay. Very comfortable. They need to put some coffee cups in the kitchen, large ones. Also some sharp knives would be nice. Other than that, we had a great time.

I found the rental house to be a great place. Although my reservations fall with the 100$ booking fee, the non-refundable 100$ cleaning fee, and the 90$ linens charge. These fees doubled our cost for a two night stay!

We enjoyed our stay in verv it was very clean and walking distance to the town i also enjoyed the wood stove and the heater worked great.So after a good day out in the snow we enjoyed to come home to a warm cabin thanks again for have such a great cabin.
