Our stay at the O'Connor Cabin was very nice as we expected. It had all the necessary things for a wonderful visit to the mountains. And it snowed, which was an added bonus to our stay. Comfortable beds, beautiful kitchen, great outdoors. Would highly recommend it.

Beautiful cabin but the cleaning people took out two stars for a perfect score. The drawers where the forks and spoons and knives are are have tiny pieces of stuff in it. I am not sure if they were food morsels but discovering them tells me the cleaners are not particular about detailed cleaning which is super important for me.
Also, we got into the place where it was super hot in Fresno. We wanted to get away from the heat (109) and guess what - there is no aC and the night was very warm so we opened all the windows to cool down. On the other hand the maintenance guy was fast to come in to give us one fan. -

We spent two nights at the cabin and had a wonderful time! Plenty of things to do in and outside the cabin! Cooking at the cabin was easy everything we needed was available plenty of dishes and silverware. The kids had fun with the ping pong table! Overall great!

Pictures do not do this cabin justice. It's spacious, clean and fully stocked with everything we needed to have our family style dinners during our stay. The beds were quite comfortable, though the room near the entrance could use a newer mattress--there's a big dip in the middle of it, but comfortable nevertheless. The bunk beds do move a lot;if one person moves, the entire structure moves, especially the top bunk. The rest of the beds were very comfortable.
I wish we could have used the hot tub, especially at the end of a long day skiing, but it's only for owners...a bit of a bummer.
The location is great, very quiet and peaceful.We had clear skies during our stay, so we did a bit of stargazing one of the nights, it's was amazing.
We did have a bit of a mix up, but it was the the rental management and not the location. The map on their website indicated that the cabin was in the town of Shaver Lake, so we were a little disappointed when we found out that it's actually about 4-5 miles outside of town. We had to make some last minute changes on our part and the management was very accommodating.In the end, everything worked out and we had a great experience.Response from Shaver Lake Vacation Rentals - 02/29/2012

The issue with Google Maps is unfortunately something out of our control, but now that we are aware of it, we are pursuing Google Maps to have them correct the error in how they present the property location. The only bummer was that the hot tub was not open to the guests. We also arrived at the house to find the linens were not there. But the people at the rental building were very nice and help get us what we needed!
