This unit worked out very good for us. We have a large family and this unit mostly accommodated us. It would have taken care of us 100% except that the sleeper sofa downstairs was out of order and we couldn't use it. I rate this at 4 stars because no one from the rental agency notified us beforehand. Otherwise, very nicely maintained unit.

My family and I really enjoyed this space. There was just enough room for all of us. The beds were so comfortable. The house was just amazing. The customer service from the rental agency was definitely awesome. Will be there for all our family trips to Shaver.
more than we expected...the video did not do the Regatta justice

I really like this place! The colors and furniture were great! We took up all the beds in this huge house and everyone had a great comment on how soft the beds and other furniture were. They've thought of everything, even having two coffee makers, knowing that with all the rooms, there's bound to be lots of adults who will quickly demolish one carafe.
The kids played outside, building forts with sticks and rocks, and we could watch them from the deck. Just an all-in-all stellar experience. I'd even go back with just my family of four, leaving most of the beds vacant, because of the great price and the great décor.
The family had a great time.

Our annual family get together was a success because of the proximity of Shaver Lake and the wonderful facilities at Chateau Lauren.

The cabin's interior and especially furnishings are wonderful. The bed was the most comfortable I've slept on in a while. The cabin was immaculate when we arrived even the bar-b-que was scrubbed clean. We did have a few issues; the spare bathroom upstairs was leaking into the bathroom downstairs so we stopped using that bathroom mid stay, difficult with the number of people we had. We could not recline the recliner in the living room it appeared to be electric of some kind? The TV had very poor picture the whole stay. Lastly, the pots and pans were old and difficult to use, a nice non stick pan would have helped.

Great house, lots of room for four families- very clean. A littel close to the road, but easy accs to town and a short drive to the lake. There was a problem wth the TV satellite (also ad says there is a TV in the Master- there is not- wen askled about it the answerr weas basically that- ther is not a TV in th master) which the maintenance people had a great deal of truoble getting to work. My son-in-law eventually ended up fixing it.

We were there with 7 of our grandchildren and their parents and had a great time. Shaver Lake was very family friendly. I think being there in early June was good because things were not so busy. It would have helped if there had been some suggestions on where to go and hikes available. Luckily a neighbor gave us suggestion of places to go like Dinky Creek and the hike up to the summit. There were adequate dishes and pans. Be sure you take your own paper products. The beds were good and plenty of sspace

Our roller derby team, the Bakersfield Diamond Divas rented this beautiful home. Chateau Lauren was more than what we expected. The kitchen was filled with everything we needed to make all our meals. The bedrooms were perfect. Everyone enjoyed the wonderful beds. We all slept great. We loved the natural hills behind the house where we could sled. We also could walk to the tennis courts and play in fresh snow. The roads were cleared so we didn't have to worry about placing chains on the tires. Chateau Lauren was a dream come true. We felt as if we were pampered. Thank you very much. Read more
