AAA Granary is located on the Cradle Country Touring Route: 14km Sth.W of Sheffield P.O. on road (C140) at the entrance to Lake Barrington and beside TASMAZIA.
Approx midway between Devonport and Cradle Mountain.
Regular flights are available from all Australian capital cities to Launceston, Devonport and Hobart. The "Spirit of Tasmania" sails between Melbourne and Devonport.

The gumnut cottage was everything we wanted with lovely details (lead light windows , artwork) to make us feel at home and superb views over Mt Roland. We loved the set up of the whole place. You felt like right in nature. It was a safe place to let the children explore by themselves with beautiful gardens and environment around and a secret garden to discover. Lovely old things were hiding everywhere, ready to be found, all with their own story to tell (just ask alan or use your imagination). The children loved the games room with pool, table tennis, air hockey, x-box...and we adults loved to hang out in the sauna. Close by are beautiful caves to visit, gorgeous Liffy falls, Tasmazia was a very pleasant half day adventure just next door, we also walked the tracks of old mines nearby...All in all a great place with a story, heart and spirit. It encourages us to do more.We have now devised a plan to landscape the driveway and entrance.......to commence mid November.

A very pleasant surprise, wonderful for a romantic getaway or a family vacation with plenty to do in and outdoors. I would without hesitation recommend this to anybody who wants a private retreat or a family trip away. The room is quite outstanding, this is a little known gem that will not dissapoint.

glad you enjoyed the Studio Apartment.
We are just in the process of adding another balcony to The Loft.
To be located on the East side facing Mt Roland & the sunrise.
Access will be via sliding doors from the kitchen/dining.Big enough for table,chairs and B.B.Q.....A great spot from which to watch the amazing sunsets on Tassy's "Eyre's Rock" --- Mt Roland.

Was a lovely private location, fabulous surroundings for children. Accomodation was lovely and clean- everything provided you could ask for. Georgous maintained gardens, was a pleasure to roam around, got lots of lovely photos with the children.

The loft we got was very well-equipped and the view was wonderfull.
It's a quiet place from where it's easy to visit Craddle Mountain Park.
Don't forget shopping in Sheffield first, because it is a 14K drive.
The only noise in the evening was a bunch of possums on the roof...
