Had a wonderful time. The hosts are great and kindly supplied us with the best eggs in the world from their hens!! We were a bit surprised that you share the patio with the owners but rarely saw them and they are delightful people. We will be back!

The 'barn' is just beautiful. It's restored to a good standard, is warm and comfy, and has a lovely, well stocked kitchen. The patio and garden are gorgeous, and it's a teeny 3-4 minute walk to the pub. I particularly loved listening to the built-in radio in the shower. The owners were also very friendly and helpful. Can't recommend it highly enough.

We had a great time at midhopestones, us the kids and the dog. The cottage and it's facilities were to a very high standard and Gillian and andrew were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. We could not have had a better time at new year. Many thanks to Gillian and andrew.

A great, cosy barn conversion in a convenient yet beautiful location. The house was spotlessly clean throughout and was well equipped. The bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable and we loved the wood burner and high tech shower! A perfect place for our family to enjoy a new year short break. A lovely welcome from Gillian the owner

The ease of booking this accommodation was excellent.
The home was fantastically converted, roomy with all mod. cons. Shame about the weather, all that snow could not fully enjoy the scenery. The local pub serves fine food the 16oz gammon was great. Owners are wonderful even helped clear snow from driveway so we could get out. Would seriously think about staying again in summer just to walk on the moors.
A relaxing, comfortable weekend in a top class cottage.

I was welcomed by the friendly owners upon arrival and they were very amenable as it was my husbands surprise 40th birthday weekend. We were welcomed with a bottle of bubbly and cakes which was lovely.
The cottage was of an excellent high standard and everything worked fully and a lot of items were provided such as hand soap, cleaner, logs, towels, bedding etc which was great.
Nearby was a reservoir with a great walk around it. It was tipping down with rain but we had a great time and then came back to a log fire which was very cosy.
There was plenty of parking which was good as we had a few friends and family coming and going over the weekend. The sheep was great and got on well with my friends dog!
I felt comfortable and at home and would definately recommend the cottage and the excellent hosts andrew and family.

I booked Midhope Lodge for my partners birthday he loves walking so it looked perfect for him and it sure was. We were greated by the owners when we arrived with a bottle of wine and a little hamper of all the essentials we could need - i was really amazed and it was totally unexpected. In the house, there was a local map of the area and pubs which we found very useful. It was really ideally situated for me also not far from local towns to do a bit of shopping. The house was really clean, with lot of new fittings, we even had fresh eggs from the owners hens in the morning.
We would deffinatly be revisiting later in the year - hopefully around xmas it would be lovely. Read more
