      Best option around

Left on 07/03/2012 for a stay in June 2012

The home was so perfect. Just a short walk to the center of Shelburne Falls, 5 minute drive to rafting outfitters, swimming holes.

Huge house with a great kitchen, but you'll spend most of your time out back on the beautiful lawn.

Our host was so gracious, and helped retrieve one of the guest's left behind medication. Nice neighbors! Thanks! Would love to come back soon!

Left on 06/02/2012 for a stay in May 2012

The home was very well maintained, well equipped, and spacious. Our family gathered here as a reunion on the occasion of the interment of our 90 yr mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who had recently passed away, and the setting was perfect for such a large gathering. The beautiful village of Shelburne Falls is just a few minutes away walking, and this provided a wonderfully relaxing time together. The large yard was the site of a terrific picnic on our last night. It was a very comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Thank you so much. I am sorry I was not there to greet you personally. But my husband met members of your family and was very honored to be able to host on this important occasion. I appreciate the review and invite you all to come back soon.

      Graduation Weekend

Left on 05/27/2012 for a stay in May 2012

This house was a perfect place for my family to gather and celebrate our daughter's graduation in amherst. We all slept comfortably and showered in luxury. It was great to have four generations around the dinner table and gathered in the backyard for our cook-out. With the craziness of four colleges around amherst all graduating on the same weekend, it was wonderful to have an escape and be able to provide meals that accommodated all of the needs. The town is beautiful and the Bridge of Flowers was enjoyed by all. The only caveat I would share is that the many staircases proved to be a bit of a challenge for our oldest and youngest family members. But the three floors of bedrooms and bathrooms gave everyone space to feel comfortable. I would highly recommend this house for a group gathering.

The scent of love and care

Left on 07/23/2011 for a stay in July 2011

There's no better word to express thanks for our stay at your wonderful house than 'delightful' -- from top to bottom, beginning to end. There is a cheerfulness in the air, and the scent of love and care. Every room is a different experience, every door opens on a new feast for the eyes. There is something, some favorite space, for everyone who spends time there.

We loved cooking in your charming and spacious country kitchen (generously stocked with spices and condiments, thank you!), relaxed and read endlessly on the very private back lawn (with little buddha looking over us), enjoyed the short walk into your wonderful town. A highlight for us was tubing down the river one hot, lazy afternoon. Delicious and memorable. Can't wait to return.

Charming Country Home near the Deerfield River

Left on 07/13/2011 for a stay in July 2011

This home is great for a large group. The 7 bedrooms of this charming house on a hill were perfect for a bunch of guys from Brooklyn looking to enjoy the nearby Deerfield River. The place is only a couple minutes walk from the picturesque main part of town of Shelburne Falls. The kitchen and yard were great, as were our hosts... I'd definitely come back here.

Perfect Place for a Smith College Reunion

Left on 06/30/2011 for a stay in May 2011

We, a group of alumnae, rented this beautifully detailed house in Shelburne Falls and everyone loved it. The house can sleep a large group, has a fun and fully-equipped kitchen, bathrooms on 3 floors, etc. It has a perfect garden/yard surrounding it and a long front-porch. It is ideal for Smith College reunions because it allows you to get away from Northampton and relax and reconnect with old friends. We (Tenney House '00-'02) all highly recommend it

      Perfectly charming & comfortable

Left on 06/13/2011 for a stay in August 2010

We had the most enjoyable visit to the Berkshires staying at your delightful home. Its location, just a block from the center of town and that glorious Bridge of Flowers, was perfect for our strolls to the restaurants, shops and the river. This big old colonial saltbox house was so cozy and filled with fascinating artwork, posters, fabrics, books, games (for the one rainy day we had!), and a truly eclectic music library. Everything was clean and well-appointed. Big bathrooms and an amazing shower on the top floor! We loved preparing meals in the spacious country kitchen then eating outdoors on the huge back lawn. And thanks so much for your creative suggestions for things to do and places to visit in the area. Had a grand time and hope to return next year!

The famously glorious Bridge of Flowers is just a few blocks from the house. The stroll around town is one of the most picturesque in New England.
