      Great time with the kids.

Left on 01/23/2013 for a stay in January 2013

We had a wonderful time with four kids. There are many on site activities during the winter. Some are no charge like swimming, mini golf and various sports. Others like the horses are very reasonably priced. The cabin was clean comfortable & kid friendly! Also was very conveniently located to go to Shenandoah Ntl Park for hiking and Massanutten for snow tubing

It was great place to stay for a few days

Left on 10/13/2012 for a stay in October 2012

We stayed in the cabin 12 and this place is good for a couple of days when you want to get away into the woods. For the price we paid, we got a good deal but Internet was really bad. We were pretty much cut off from everybody for a good two days. It was good in its own way but if you are one of those people who regularly check his/ her office email via Wifi or Internet, then this is not your place. All other conveniences were good but we felt that the lighting was a little less in the family room. We had to keep the lights on all the time when we were there. Lake is right behind the cabin but other than taking a few pics of the lake there is not a lot that you can do. I wish the patio faced the lake instead of being in the other side. That would give it a nice view.

We stayed 2 nights at Molly B's cabin and it was wonderful. Alot of cabins there but this one was on the water and had a screened in porch. The inside was very clean and beds slept well. Was great to have all the amenties included. We never left the area!

      Shenandoah Cabin a Great Rental

Left on 03/22/2012 for a stay in March 2012

My wife and I stayed in the cabins May 2012 and were very pleased with our experience. We were expecting just a cabin in the woods but this turned out to be so much more. The "Shenandoah Cabin Resort with Horse Farm & Marina" is just that a resort/vacation setting. We requested a privet off the beaten path cabin and the owner did a great job at accommodating this request. We stayed in Cabin #10. You could not get any further away than this cabin as it was the tip of the property. The cabin itself was positioned catty-cornered so that the living room windows all looked out over the lake and no other cabins or people were in view. Earlier reviews mention that the cabins need updating and while that may be true they are absolutely fine and we found them to have more amenities than we expected. The stainless steel Weber grill was a nice touch on the deck and we grilled most of our dinners. The resort staff was friendly and helpful, the grounds were beautiful and the location was excellent. Each day we took a small trip to the local wineries, to hike in the nearby Shenandoah national Park or to simply drive on Skyline Drive. This was exactly the getaway we needed and exactly the right location! In the off season this is a great spot for a quiet couples or family getaway and we can imagine that in the summer it is a hopping family destination. Thanks for making this rental available - we loved it!

      A Peaceful Get-Away

Left on 03/15/2012 for a stay in March 2012

We needed some time away from the city and some peace and quiet - we found it at this place! Our place was clean, quiet and overlooked a beautiful lake. Molly was attentive and personable with customer service. We recommend this place!

      Amazing!

Left on 04/22/2011 for a stay in March 2011

I completely loved my stay. The cabin was great roomy and fit my family well. We had a blast at the pool, the recreational room, and all over the resort. I regret not being able to ride the horses but I hope I get to go back sometime this year and then do that as well. The area around the resort is breath taking. We roamed all the way to Luray one day and then the natural bridge the other. so many great things to do in the area. Also Going through Molly has been a great experience since this was my first large vacation. A+++ Thank so much for the great vacation Molly!

      Such a perfect get-away!

Left on 12/21/2010 for a stay in November 2010

We had a great time - the area was sooo very peaceful. The horses were amazing. My daughter got to ride a "youngster" who was bigger than any horse she's ridden. She said her legs were almost sticking straight out at the sides because the horse was so wide - and she has very long legs! The cabin was welcoming and instantly felt like home. Very clean & organized with great views and lots of light coming in. Nice screened-in porch that cam in handy for muddy boots after a walk. Everyone was pretty friendly and very helpful. Although it was cold we were able to walk to the gameroom and work off some of the pies and cookies we ate with challenges on the air hockey table and pool table. Forgot to bring swimsuits for the indoor sauna, but loved the long-walks around the property to the general store for cocoa and the equestrian center. Great place to unplug and do family activities - even with teens!

mostly good with a few hiccups

Left on 10/12/2010 for a stay in September 2010

The cabin was very cozy. We enjoyed the smell of the wood inside.
But the cabin would be perfect for 4 ppl, not 5 or 6.
My 14 yo daughter was sleeping on the pull-out sofa in the leaving room and she was very uncomfortable. The sofa mattress was very bumpy and not even. We put all our blankets on the mattress to make it a bit softer in order to help her to sleep. Also the sofa was very dusty inside and my daughter had allergy problem.
I called service desk and ask them to bring us a new mattress if possible. They were very friendly but they couldn't find another mattress.
Also the master bathroom shower head should be fixed. it sprays water all around. That was not big problem anyway.

We enjoyed outdoor pools. All indoor pools were closed for some reason but we got lucky with the weather anyway and spent all our time outside.
We took a ride on horses and rented a boat. That was just an excellent experience.
Our overall experience was very good and we had fun time.

Great Place for a Relaxing Family Vacation

Left on 01/15/2010 for a stay in September 2009

I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the cabin, as well as the various activities offered at the resort. My daughter and I had a great time with our friends. From swimming, to horseback riding, to mini golf, to scavenger hunts and tie dye organized by the office, there was never a dull moment.

      Cabin Fever

Left on 01/04/2010 for a stay in August 2009

This was my families first trip to a cabin. I
have an 8 year old and a 2 year old boy with
special needs. Everything you need is already
there for you in the cabin. It is nice and cozy
and the staff are all helpful and friendly. My 8
year old enjoyed the trip so much, he insists that
      we should move there.

The outdoor pools and hot tub are amazing. The
water play area was perfect for my little guy.
Activities are plentiful, so no one should get
bored. Roasting marshmallows at the bonfire,
taking out the pontoon boat for some fishing or
horseback riding are just some of the things that
      are available.

I love this place and I cant wait to visit again.
