      Perfect cottage in beautiful Sheringham

Left on 04/23/2013 for a stay in April 2013

My mum booked this cottage as my sister was getting married in Sheringham and we deceied to have a break at the same time.
we arrived rather early but the owner said it was fine for us to leave our car and we went off for a walk and some lunch. when we returned we opened the door to discover a great little cottage packed with period features and home comforts. as others had said the welcome pack is amazing. truley the best i have ever recieved! a really nice way to start our break.
this cottage is slap bang in the centre of the town with the sea only a few minuets walk away as well as the shops and pubs. the parking is tight and after a few attempts you get use to the high flint walls on either side, but as i said everything is in walking distance.
The living room has two comfy sofa which we relaxed on with a few glasses of wine and the beds too are very comy with great feather duvets and pillows. the only down side is lack of garden but this really didnt matter as there is a small bench in the courtyard to sit and read on.
I have stayed in sheringham many times over the years and this is a great find! i would certainly return.

Left on 11/07/2012 for a stay in August 2012

On entering inglenook we was met by the best welcome pack ever, from fresh bread to cheese biscuits strawberrys tea coffee, and even fresh flowers in every room. The cottage was very welcoming spacious and the owner was very friendly and helpful. My son and daughtering law joined us for a few days with their 2 children and we had a very good holiday, the only downside was no enclosed garden but that didnt spoil our holiday as the beach was very close by.

Great hosts but some parking issues

Left on 07/26/2012 for a stay in July 2012

We would actually rate this property 'good' but we can only choose between 'good' and 'average' and 'average' would be unfair on the owners whose welcome was one of the best we've experienced.

We won't spoilt it for future guests but, if you book this property, you will be pleasantly surprised when you open the door to your cottage as the owners are very thoughtful.

The property is really close to the beach and therefore really convenient if you have young children with puschairs, buckets, spades and so on.

The biggest downside for us was the parking situation as the small courtyward at the front of the cottage is shared between 4 cottages (only 3 were let while we stayed) and coming in and out of the property is very tricky indeed. Do not even attempt it if you have only just passed your driving test, unless you drive a Mini!

Some of the kitchen ustensils could do with being replaced and the bedrooms are a little bit dated but the bathroom has been recently refurbished and is immaculate.

The cottage appears bigger on Sykes Cottages than it actually is ; it is big enough for 2 adults and three children but, in our opinion, it would be too small for 7 people.

Overall, we really liked Sheringham, enjoyed the convenience of the cottage location and had a lovely time.
