This single storey property features superb luxury accommodation for six, with three bedrooms, a hot tub, sauna and pool table, on an arable farm in the village of Alberbury. With very well finished and equipped accommodation set on the ground floor, this semi detached property on the owners’ 220 acre arable farm in Alberbury village in Shropshire is perfect for some rest and relaxation. Guests have exclusive use of a hot tub and sauna, there is a full size pool table in the games area of the sitting room and two of the bathrooms have impressive ‘All Body Jet’ shower cubicles. The property is set next to the large ornamenta...l pond, whose waterfall and night time light display makes it a lovely place to sit and relax. The area is full of so much for visitors to enjoy, including castles, stately homes, superb walking, pretty villages and fascinating museums.

Region: A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

Town: The small rural village of Alberbury sits in pretty countryside, 9 miles from Shrewsbury. There is so much to do in this area, from the ten museums of Ironbridge Gorge to the abbey, castle, shops and restaurants of Shreswbury. There are many National Trust properties within easy reach of Alberbury, including Attingham Park, Powis Castle, Chirk Castle and Erddig. Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  Have to say this place was amazing. Extremely high standard, well maintained, owners couldn't be more helpful or friendly. An entire week of relaxing and unwinding with no streetlights and no external noise. Even the animals were friendly - farm dog moved in with us for most of the week. Will definitely be making a return visit

  Robert, Betty Lou, James and Millie were absolutely brilliant during our stay there last bank holiday weekend. We had the cabin booked for a week but even though we stayed only over the weekend, we felt it was worth it. They have created a little piece of paradise, far away from everything with its own hot tub (which was the main attraction for us, initially), steam room and pool table. The surrounding countryside was beautiful and the walks were lovely. A pleasurable, relaxing stay if you want to get away from it all.

  Perfect in every way

  This cottage was great value for money and absolutely beautiful. We were attracted to this particular cottage by the hot tub but the pool table and sauna were also welcome additions! All of the rooms were beautifully decorated to a high standard and there was plenty of space for us all. There were local walks and it was easy to find. The owners and their pets were extremely welcoming and accommodating, everything we needed was there. I will definitely visit again and will recommend to all my friends, I just hope they don't put the price up!!

  Me and my partner and a couple of good friends stayed at the Old Sheep Shed at the end of November, all we can say was this place was amazing, the weather was cold and snow on the ground which made the setting even better. The accomodation as a whole is amazing the pictures dont do this place justice. The underfloor heating is a joy along with all the luxuries that have been listed. The only thing that is better than the accomodation was the people that owned it Mr & Mrs Davies couldnt of been more helpful and friendly. Many places claim to have it all and some do but this little hidden gem is not only top grade accomodation but very well priced too. If you are a couple or a family looking for a relaxing place to stay with excellent hosts then dont look any further. We will be certainly coming back again next year and many years to come 5 stars all round.

  Good location, very friendly owners, who took the time to explain all facilities, only small problem was a small fridge freezer, if staying for longer than a week ( which we would do next time ) might be a problem, but owners did say they would put items in their freezer for us. Overall a great place to stay, even better in the Summer

  The Old Sheep Shed is a wonderful conversion which has been well thought out, is superbly maintained and provides every comfort. Mr & Mrs Davies are the perfect hosts. We have stayed in many award winning cottages over the past few years and The Old Sheep Shed warrants a place among the best. All fixtures and fittings are of lovely quality. The private hot tub is top of the range and the landscaped garden (which is beautifully lit at night) frames the large pond well stocked with carp and goldfish provides a relaxing backdrop. A sauna is available in one of the bathrooms or you may prefer a game of pool in the comfy games room. All in all a lovely break.
