Patio with small pool perfect for children.View on the Tuscan rolling hills while tasting exquisite Italian food and wine.Table and chairs for outside dining,sunbeds and deckchairs to relax in the sun. Located in the middle of a village but hidden at the sight. The house is spread on two levels: at the ground floor an open space with fireplace split up in 3 areas, kitchen, dining room, sitting room. San Giovanni d'Asso is the typical rural Tuscan village: it lies in a not yet well known area of the countryside near Siena.An ancient castle, a Romanesque church back to XI century, a magic wood, wonderful sunsets make this place very special. In November a famous white truffles fair takes place in the castle. It is a tiny village where you can find a bank, post office, supermarket, chemist shop, butcher shop, cafè, 2 nice restaurants. A beautiful spot in the middle of an area rich in art and history: Montalcino (15 km), Pienza (24 Km), Bagno Vignoni (20 km), Montepulciano (30 km) are just a few destination you can reach in less than half an hour driving. Siena, the town famous for Il Palio is 40 minutes driving from the village, Florence at 1 hour and a half. Car essential.Perfect to visit ancient towns and villages,for food and wine tasting,for truffle hunting.You can go riding,biking,walking,ballooning,relaxing in the various SPA of the area(Bagno Vignoni,Rapolano.)..or simply you can decide to do nothing and enjoy the sweetness of the day!

I have stayed at this house multiple times in the past and our entire family adores the house and location. The owner is extremely nice and charming, her caretaker is magnificent, the grounds are beautiful and the amenities within an extremely short walk are sublime. The house is perfect for a family of 5 (of any age) or for two couples and it is absolutely charming. The airconditioning works well, the kitchen is nice and functional and the bedrooms and bathrooms are perfectly nice and comfortable. It has a small swimming pool to reduce the summer heat if you wish and a functional outdoor charcoal grille. The location cannot be beat. Don't miss the restaurant next door which is one of the best in southern Tuscany. The house is close to all that the Crete Senese offers and requires extremely short drives to visit Pienza, Montalcino, and Montepulciano. We could linger here for weeks and we would not complain at all.
